Decided to try Doro marketplace again. The food this time was a little better than last time. I ordered a salted caramel chocolate chip cookie, which was good. I also got ITALIAN CHOPPED SALAD which came with romaine lettuce, soppressata, mozzarella, pepperoncini, olive, heirloom tomato, cucumber, pickled red onion, roasted red pepper, herb breadcrumbs for $ 10.95. The salad took about 10 mins to finally come out and I was ready to leave at that point but I was hungry so I decided to stay and eat it. The salad was once again drenched in dressing and made it super salty. Also got a slice of pepperoni pizza it wasn't bad.

After a few recommendations from friends about this place I decided to try it myself and check if what they say its true. Our First impression as soon as we walk in was how spacious and cozy it looked. Walking to the counter to see how many treats they had was priceless, trying to choose one was hard, we wanted to get everything: ) I tried a delicious chicken parmesan croissant my honey ordered a Parma Croissant that looked and tasted delicious. I also got a Peach Margo Green tea refresher that tasted nothing like Peach Margo. But everything else was really good. The kids serving were very friendly and helpful with us visiting for the first time, that was a plus.

Beautiful space in Wethersfield! They have a really broad menu from pastries, to lunch and breakfast items! I tried the coconut pain suisse and the tiramisu latte! The cream on both of them were extremely light and creamy! I'm looking forward to returning very soon to try something off their lunch menu!

There are many things to like and some things that can be improved with Doro Marketplace. Let's start with the good things! I've been there twice and both times I've ordered their Mediterranean bowl. The first time I tried it, it was on Sunday for lunch. Place wasn't too crowded and my bowl came out quick. Chicken was warm and tender. The second time I visited, it was on a Friday during a late lunch. The place seemed less crowded than the first time I went yet it took a very long time for my bowl to come out. A chicken on the second time around was cold and chewy. Everything else in the bowl was amazing. The hummus, especially was really good. I feel like the bowl needs some kind of dressing though. I thought it did the first time around and the second time around it tasted very dry. But that could've been due to the dry chicken. I also split a pastry with a friend on the second go around. We tried their pumpkin filled croissant. It was very buttery. I probably would not buy it again. It was way too rich. And it needed a more fluffier filling - less butter, more whipped cream. My kids tried the cake like brownie last time as well and did not like it. But they ordered pizza and seem to enjoy that. So all in all, I would say that the meals are good, but the desserts need a little work. I did not try any of their drinks. The restaurant itself is fun. It has a very European marketplace feel to it. You can purchase goods as you wait in line to order from the counter. The counter has all their foods on full display - kind of like a deli counter. This is pretty much how people buy food in Italian marketplaces. The staff is nice as well and friendly. Once you order and pay for your food, you find a table and they will bring the food to you. It is worth a visit!

Such a cute spot! Love the music and vibes of the place. It was pretty busy once we arrived but they handled it very well with their easy to use tablets. It was very clean and well taken care of. We dined in and the server who was bringing out the food was such a delight, super kind and great warm energy! I got the chicken parm sandwich on a croissant, yes please!!! This was delicious, not too much sauce to where it's falling out, fresh mozzarella with a beautiful cheese pull, and freshly grated parm on top.

Doro in Wethersfield is the best! Spacious meeting area. They have a couple vegan options but mostly regular pastries sandwiches and coffee for people of all diets. This is the perfect spot to have a business meeting or a catch up with friends! I would recommend it!

I'm really liking this café. This location was extremely popular the day we went. It was packed. I've been to other locations in the past and it's definitely a well liked CT staple. I like their coffee drinks and pastries. Haven't disappointed so far. I will return and recommend to others.

5 Stars I had the chicken parmesan croissant sandwich and it was absolutely incredible! The portion was just right, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The croissant was flaky on the outside, soft and buttery on the inside, and perfectly toasted--honestly, one of the best croissant sandwiches I've had. I also grabbed a bag of black truffle potato chips (in a white bag), and wow--they were amazing. The earthy truffle flavor paired perfectly with the sandwich. A combo I didn't know I needed! My friend had the eggs up breakfast, which came with eggs topped with queso sauce, potatoes, and toast. She said it was really good--simple but flavorful. The atmosphere is chill, the service was friendly, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared. Can't wait to go back!

Doro Marketplace on the Silas Deane is a gem! I love the WeHa location but this one is bigger and has better parking. As always, there are smiling faces behind the counter and bringing you your long awaited, well-deserved treat. Dining in here is a enjoyable. I swear, food is better because of the ambiance (still, 10/10). The wifi is strong, but the lattes are even stronger! For me, the lattes are the highlight--hot, rich, and perfectly balanced with buttery and crispy croissant. What a beautiful pair. I sat in the cafe this time for a real cup. The heart in the foam of the latte made mine skip a beat.

I recently tried Doro for the first time and was impressed. I had the croissants, they were buttery, flaky, and tasted freshly baked. I'd definitely go back when I'm in the mood for some pastries.

I have been to the other location in West Hartford a couple times and it's been excellent. Today I was traveling out of state and wanted to grab some food first and this location was on my route. I ordered the avocado toast and a few slices of pizza. I added egg which could have come in any style but they said the default is sunny side up. I love a runny yolk so I said it was fine as is. However, when I got my food, the egg was basically raw. The white was still viscous and the egg had slid off the toast. When I showed the employee, they seemed unconcerned and asked if I wanted it medium or hard (as if this was the acceptable level for sunny side up). I eat eggs almost every day and this is not the correct way to prepare them. An apology would have been nice. I had it remade with scrambled eggs. It ended up taking so much longer than I had expected which was annoying since I had wanted to be on the road earlier. The flavors of the toast were good and the pizza was great. It's just hard to overlook a raw egg.

This was such a cute vibrant atmosphere! The wait was kind of long, but it was a busy day! We had the baklava cold brew and it was delicious with cold foam on top! It had pistachio and honey notes. We also tried the apple croissant and it was so flaky and buttery and had sweet apple pie filling. We also had the new Britain ave which was an egg Sandwich with brioche, chili aioli, sausage and cheese, it was delicious! I would definitely return and try more things.

Caesar salad with salmon. That's not dressing! The leaves are coated with grease/oil

"She got muffins for sons, she got cornbread too Sweet rolls…read moreand jelly, boys I'm really tellin' you She had the baker shop boogie It's the nicest thing in town" (Willie Nix) We had a wonderful visit to Bake Market today and walked out with a ton of high-quality stuff for under $39 before tax. Our haul included a big tray of eggplant parmesan ($11.99), a small container of chicken salad ($7.99), a big container of Street Corn Salad ($11.99), a serving of Mango Pineapple Bread ($2.95) and Coconut Zucchini Bread ($2.95), and an Everything Biscuit (just $1.49). Bake Market has refrigerated and freezer cases on the walls with entrees and pastas and sauces and salads and desserts. It reminded me of the Pasta Vita store we used to visit in Avon. We split the chicken salad for lunch on Wednesday and enjoyed it very much, it was heavy on diced chicken and light enough on the diced celery and mayo that it was very hearty and not overrepresented by the rest. We decided to split the Everything Biscuit with lunch and I really liked the texture and savory taste of the everything spice. We split the Street Corn salad for Friday dinner, and it was a big portion of sliced Romaine, diced bacon, sliced radishes, roasted corn, tortilla strips, and grated Cotija cheese. It was very good; the lettuce was super fresh with plenty of bacon and corn. We split the Mango Pineapple Bread for dessert and that was excellent too. It was dense, sweet, full of flavor, and quite wonderful. The Coconut Zucchini Bread was so-so. I didn't think it had much of a flavor, and besides the blandness it was incredibly messy with shredded coconut everywhere. Our Bake Market sampling ended with their Eggplant Parmesan. It was a massive 2-lb tray that cost just $11.99. And how can I NOT mention that containers of fresh pasta AND sauce were included! We made four servings out of it. The eggplant parm was made out of a very thick single slab of breaded/fried unpeeled eggplant, and not the multiple layers of thin slices stacked up lasagna-style you customarily see. It had plenty of sauce and plenty of cheese, but how was the eggplant itself? I gotta tell you, when I saw that thick slab, my radar went up because I had a feeling it would be rubbery, tough, and unappetizing. But my doubts were short-lived after my first bite. It was delicious and tender and full of flavor without a hint of grease. Honestly, it was one of the best representations of eggplant I've had in a while. So, there you have it, a nearly perfect score on a variety of foods, and a very satisfactory $39 haul that scored high on quality and value.

Naturally, I sprinted here after seeing on social media they started selling the viral crookie…read more(cookie croissant) and it was SO worth it. I didn't know what to expect, but it was delicious -- the perfect mesh of flaky and doughy textures with the slight warmth was divine. I also saw they had pistachio matcha lattes so I decided to try one. It was surprisingly pretty tasty despite the color not being a very deep green. They also offer several samples, which I was excited about, but I was disappointed because they were all salty -- even the zucchini bread that I expected to be more neutral/sweet. The bagels were also very flat. Maybe their sweets just happen to be better?

And that adorableness comes in twenty flavor varieties - peanut butters, candies, fruits, cookies, and of course...chocolates. They cost between $1 and $1.20 each depending on the quantity you want. I bought a box of fifteen for $15. I had some time to kill before my appointment in Rocky Hill, so I also ordered a small coffee, lemon, and almond donut to enjoy on site. Now that's easier said than done because the store is small and only has a counter with two stools. Luckily, both were vacant so I settled in, drank their excellent freshly made coffee (small for $3.50) and savored my little donut treats. Indulge By Palazzo also specializes in coffees and protein shakes to help you wash down those donuts, and it looks like they are set up to sell ice cream in season. If you are a donut hound, and appreciate adorableness, indulge yourself with a visit to Palazzo and walk out with a box of their petite sweet treats.

Decent little donut bites…read more Came here on a whim. Inside is a relatively small shop with a little display and lots of advertising for their catering business. We ordered a 8 pack of mini donuts and 2 protein doughnuts. The mini doughnuts came in a myriad of flavor combos. Those flavors were pronounced, the base is a cake doughnut so it's spongy but light. It's a good cake doughnut, but I'm not really a fan of cake style doughnuts. For me, cake doughnuts need to be right out the oven to be good. These were made recently, but cooled significantly and not to my preference. The protein doughnuts were dipped fresh. They were not much different in terms of consistency but it's a much denser doughnut and a bit of chew because of the protein powder. It also has the aftertaste of sunflower shells that health products tend to have. Not unpleasant, but makes it taste like standard "healthy" products It's not bad, but it's also not great. For the price is right for the quality, and it's one of the few dessert options for the area. It's worth a try if you're around or if you really like cake doughnuts, but I wouldn't trek there.

"You're the real thing Yeah the real thing…read moreYou're the real thing Even better than the real thing" (U2) When you walk into an Italian bakery and see a table of four gents drinking espresso and chattering away in Italian, well you know you've walked into the real thing. And you might thing you've also walked into a real thing of a Café in Italy, because the Mozzicato DePasquale Bakery and Pastry Shop has that kind of vibe to it. When I walked in yesterday morning, I was dazzled by the sheer amount of their breads, rolls, cakes, pastries, cookies, calzones, and pizza slices. Toss in a big gelato display and a coffee bar, and you can pretty much enjoy a great meal or snack any time of the day. I had a Board of Directors meeting in Rocky Hill yesterday, so I stopped in for breakfast and some meeting prep. I had a spinach croissant ($5.95) and a coffee ($2.50). On the way out, I ordered a cappucino for my meeting ($5.00) an some biscottis and six of those awesome little Italian Rainbow cookies ($4.76) to take home for late night desserts. I really enjoyed sitting there, soaking in the atmosphere, listening to the Italian gents' conversation, drinking Mozzicato's excellent coffee and savoring a delicious spinach croissant.
