Renovations, updated branding, making their own syrups, using better espresso, house made baked goods, monthly specials and hopping on viral trends like whipped topping on lattes (can you say The Nitro Bar dupe?)! I'm on the Board of Directors for a small group that meets in Rocky Hill every month or so. I've fallen into the habit of stopping at a local coffee shop on those mornings to study my notes and finalize my talking points for the Board. Yesterday morning I made the Sweet B Café my place to do that. I had a 16-oz drip coffee ($3.50) and a plain toasted bagel ($3.75) with cream cheese. The coffee was excellent, the bagel was big and fresh and very yummy! Counter service from Mackenzie was cheerful and professional. The dining room has about half a dozen small tables, and the business was pretty busy with plenty of online customers walking in to grab their food and drink. On the way out, I saw and heard an attractive slice of Toasted Coconut Loaf whispering in my ear, so I couldn't resist taking it home. Of course, it was very tasty. I have been to Sweet B Cafe twice now, and I am in love. I have only stuck to lattes so far, but their food/pastries do look good, too. Both times I went, I couldn't decide what to order and ended up asking for a recommendation as the tiebreaker between two flavors. The two iced lattes I tried were the French toast and the strawberries & cream. Either could have leaned overly sweet, yet neither did. The syrups & whips were house-made, which really came across. Love that touch for sure, so appreciated and really makes a difference. That is usually the difference between a good coffee shop, and a great one. So friendly and warm. The inside of the cafe is cute and cozy. It's not a huge space, but very comfy. Excited to continue to support them and return many, many more times to come! Great place. read more

I've been wanting to try Sweet B for a long time.....So, I was really excited to finally stop by--especially since their February specials had just dropped. I ordered the Berry Sweet (strawberry latte with cheesecake cold foam, topped with graham crackers), but unfortunately the flavors didn't quite come through as advertised. The cheesecake cold foam was very minimal, and I only really tasted strawberry when sipping through the syrup at the bottom. On top of that, the overall vibe felt a bit off. When walking in, the interaction felt pretty dry and unwelcoming--not the warm, friendly energy that's usually expected at a café, especially one with such a cozy and inviting presence online? I came across Sweet B cafe through Instagram. I run a food blog (Foodittudemood) and I had other foodie friends that I'm connected too rave about this spot. Once I saw how beautifully decorated for Christmas this cafe was and all the December specials I knew I couldn't resist . The Christmas trees hanging from the ceiling was so aesthetically pleasing as if you're in your own hallmark scene.i grew up in CT and all my family is still here but I visit often and am in town for the holidays . I tried their Santa cookie latte (I don't drink coffee so I asked if they could make it with chai instead and they said absolutely) love that! I tried their Swissmiss croissant and their famous Christmas tree crepe and let me tell you both dishes will melt in your mouth so effortlessly. The croissant is warm, buttery flaky and I believe seasoned in an everything bagel seasoning. Loaded with a generous amount of ham and Swiss cheese and will leave you wanting more . If you have a sweet tooth you'll love the Christmas crepe . It's filled with a raspberry jam a topped with an icing that is so delicious you'll just want to lick it right off !! I loved the presentation as well!! I went peak brunch /lunch time hours so I was afraid I wouldn't find a spot luckily I did after waiting a few minutes but I would highly recommend planning time to go accordingly. I think I found my new favourite coffee shop ! They had great variety of coffee options at affordable prices, and a variety of pastries, breakfast and panini options for food. Super cozy spot located on Cromwell Ave in Rocky hill. It had a few seatead areas with a nice fire place inside to add an additional layer of coziness. And even a few seats outside to enjoy the nice weather Cute spot for a coffee date or catching up with friends . They also provide seasonal drink menu . I tried the trick or treat latte . Which was a peanut butter latte with vanilla cold foam topped with Reese's and chocolate drizzle ! And it was AMAZING !!! My husband got the Harry's butterbeer which is butterscotch cream soda topped with butterscotch vanilla cold foam ! Tasted like cream soda which he loved ! We also ordered the egg and cheese on a bagel ( I got the French toast bagel) the breakfast bagels are made fresh to order which was great , however the food was just okay . This place is adorable! They were fully decked out for Valentine's Day and it was very cute. I had to try the seasonal specials so I got the Toasted Hearts iced latte and the Love Letter crepe. Whoa whoa whoa. The crepe was perfection! It wasn't overly sweet, the juice from the strawberries toned it down perfectly. The whipped cream on the toasted heart has little marshmallow hearts which is so cute! And it was just the right amount of sweet. For our Sunday escaped We decided to try a new place. Sweet B from Rocky Hill. Small and cozy, the fire place gives this place a warm welcome to anyone that walks in. Big variety of drinks. But in this case I took a star because I did not like the cappuccino ( coffee taste) . My dish however was very good, dulce de Leche crepe, I loved the real dulce de leche and the fruits gave it an extra flavor combination. This was my first time coming here and I loved it. I'm definitely going to come back. I had the Nutella and peanut butter waffle which is to die for and also very filling. I'm a big guy with a big appetite and I was wondering if the waffle would fill me up but I barely was able to finish it. It'll be great to take the rest home if needed but the waffles were 10/10...for a beverage I got hot tea (English breakfast flavor) and I liked the tea as well. I was eyeing this cafe for a while and finally stopped by for a quick lunch. The place is super cute with tons of different flavors available for coffee/lattes. The lunch menu is pretty limited, offering just paninis - fine with me since I love paninis. I ordered the Caprese Panini, which was very simple, yet delicious and filling. I ended up ordering via DoorDash with my husband about a week after my first visit. We both ordered crepes for breakfast - I got the Apples & Cinnamon, while he got the Nutella & Fruit. Sweet B Cafe is a new coffee, crepe, smoothie, waffle, bagel, ice cream, etc. spot in Rocky Hill. It shares a plaza with some restaurants and other businesses. My review is only based upon my Black Iced Cold Brew with Toasted Marshmallow Cold Foam order. With any cafe that does so many different things, I go in with moderate expectations about the coffee. But I thought the Cold Brew was good. Definitely above average for Hartford County. The coffee was from an Italian Roaster named Bristot. It was rich and smooth. The toasted marshmallow cold foam was subtle, but I liked it that way since I normally drink iced coffee black. A 16 oz. Cold Brew is $5.25 and a 24 oz. Cold Brew is $6.25. That's comparable to at least one other respected coffee shop in the area, but a reminder of why I usually make coffee at home these days. The shop is small, but cute. There are a few indoor and outdoor tables. The TV fireplace was good campy. Service was friendly. I didn't try the food, but I'm tuned into the Hartford County food scene and I've heard good things. What a GREAT experience!!! First time trying this cozy little cafe located in a shopping plaza. The cafe has about 5 tables, also two comfy chairs by the fireplace which kept us warm & toasty. Bee-themed decor is very cute and even the bathroom is nice. Wonderful staff here and SO accommodating-- kudos Amanda!! My friend and I had some special requests, but they were just awesome about it. Not a large selection of gluten free items, but they're working on that. (Thus only 4 stars instead of 5.) Still, they went out of their way to make us happy. My Asiago bagel with cream cheese and added veggies was DELISH!! And my friend enjoyed her tasty eggs scrambled with veggies. My friend and I were in Rocky Hill yesterday, we wanted to stop by somewhere for a light lunch. I did my Yelp search, and I came across Sweet B Cafe. This place is just adorable. It's small, but it's got so much character and charm. They have a fireplace, and the cutest Christmas decor. Here you can get coffee, ice cream, crepes, waffles or bagels. There's not a lot of savory options, mostly sweet things, I guess this is why they're called Sweet B. We each got a crepe, I got the dulce de leche and my friend got the Classic B. These were very similar. I got a mocha latte and my friend got the hot chocolate. I have to say their coffee is expensive here. My latte was $6, and the hot chocolate was $5. Our crepes came out pretty quickly. They were beautifully folded, and topped with bananas and strawberries, as well as powdered sugar and whipped cream. The only difference between our crepes, was mine had dulce de leche syrup and my friend's had maple syrup. The fruit was fresh and tasty, there is no option to customize the fruit. The crepes were delicious and so were our drinks. I would suggest a bit of flexibility with the menu options. Instead of listing two almost identical items as separate items, give the option to customize. Either way, we really enjoyed this cute spot! They are brand new, I'm sure they'll iron out the few minor kinks. read more

Normally I'm very understanding when it seems a place is short staffed, which they definitely were, but the two people working were so disorganized. I'm glad I didn't order food because those who did were waiting much longer than I was. if I had ordered food or more than just one coffee, I would be more understanding. But waiting 30 minutes for just one small coffee is unreasonable. The only redeeming part of this whole ordeal was that the coffee wasn't half bad.
