4+ Longstanding McDonald's that is located in a large strip mall (anchored by Safeway). The place is clean and the service is friendly. Pretty much everything is pretty standard. What you get from going to chains. Came here and got some nuggets. Food is what you expected and it was quick. This particular location holds a special place in my heart because I actually worked here a long, long time ago. 1 STAR!!! CHECK YOUR FRIES BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE DRIVE THRU! I'm done giving the McDonald's in San Ramon the benefit of the doubt. This has happened too many times, and at this point it feels deliberate. Look at the photos. These are supposed to be full orders of fries, yet once I got home both containers were barely half full. And this is not the first time. And compare that with McDonald's own advertising. Their large fries are pictured packed to the top and overflowing above the carton. Then look at the photo of what I actually received. The difference is ridiculous. If that's the portion you advertise and sell as a "large," then that's what customers should reasonably expect to receive, not a carton with a huge empty cavity and handful of fries sitting at the bottom. I have literally watched employees squeeze the bottom of the fry carton inward while filling it. That makes the container hold significantly fewer fries while still making the fries sit high enough at the top to LOOK full when they hand you the bag. Then you drive home, the fries settle, and you discover you paid for a full order but received half a carton. I've also seen another trick where the fry container is put into the bag at an angle or practically sideways, so the fries bunch toward the opening and look like they're overflowing. It creates the appearance that you're getting this huge, generous serving. Take the carton out and stand it upright and suddenly you see how little is actually in there. That isn't an accidental short pour. Those are specific ways of making an underfilled container appear full. read more

While you will not usually find me at a McDonalds, I had a headache this evening and recently saw something online that said fries and a coke will help - and spoiler alert it did. This location had the kiosks that you see at the airport, which I love, but there was an annoying beeping sound going off that must drive the workers crazy. The space was clean and although my receipt came out blank from the tablet the store was almost empty so it was no trouble getting my small slushie coke and small fry. Not only is the food disgusting but you can expect to receive attitude from the employees! Managers rather yell at the actual employees working than help them work. We waited over 40 mins for our food, after leaving and multiple missing items i decided to check the food and was met with this horrific sight and turned around for a refund on the food. When i asked for a refund the rude manager Anna didn't apologize, ask what was wrong or even acknowledge us. She refused to do a proper refund and was extremely hostile. "Beautiful redesign, clean, neat, pricey." It's been a long time since I visited this location. I was surprised at how professional the interior design is. Seems much more spacious. They also have kiosks where you could order yourself. My small order was delivered promptly. It's still a good deal for senior coffee at $1. But don't expect a bargain for the meals. Quick stop to grab a bite which turned out to be super super quick and had a great experience! Instead of going through the drive-thru, we decided to go inside to place our order--and it turned out to be a great choice. We ordered a Filet-O-Fish, Hot & Spicy McChicken, and a large French fries. The food was fresh and perfectly prepared: the Filet-O-Fish was crispy, the McChicken had just the right amount of spice, and the fries were hot and nicely salted. The restaurant itself was exceptionally clean and well-kept. The dining area was spotless, with tables wiped down and the condiment station well-organized and fully stocked. It made for a pleasant, comfortable experience. A big shoutout to the cashier, who was incredibly helpful and quick with our order. They had a positive attitude, and made sure everything was accurate, which we really appreciated. All in all, this McDonald's location delivered excellent food, service, and a welcoming environment. We are current trying to get the Super Mario happy meal toys. The person who took our order in the drive thru was really nice. He was happy to answer our questions about what toys they had. They actually had my favorite Yoshi here! So we were really excited. But when we actually got our boxes, they wouldn't check the toys we got and we ended up getting 2 of the same ones (Rosalina). We have two young daughters and this will end up being a problem for us. My husband went back in and asked if we could get a different one and the manager here checked a few boxes, they were all the same #7, and she wouldn't check the back for a different one. This feels like a big inconvenience for us when it would not take much effort to try and get one single different toy for our kids. This mcdonalds is alright at best but there's plenty of ways it can be improved. For one employees need attitude adjustments so they're not aggressive or rude towards customers. Another thing to be improved is the cleanliness of the inside. While it's nicer than what it used to be as they fixed it up few years ago, there are times when the tables or the floor are so dirty to the point I can't help but wonder if they ever clean at all. Finally, the thing that upset me most is how they close the pick up or dining area too early even though they don't close until like 10 or 11. They close the dining area pr pick up at like 9 so you have to do drive thru which tends to get backed up all the time at this location. One more thing is the parking lot is absolutely horrible because it's so small with only 4 spaces and the rest are either handicap or mobile pick up. The worst I've been to in Bay Area. Mornings - they never get the coffee orders correct, if I want blended I get ice, if I ask for ice I get blended; then when I say it wrong they say it's right. Whenever my husband and I are too lazy to cook, we always choose McDonald's breakfast menu. We order the same items every time and are always happy with the consistency. As for service, we've never had an issue, though we only come here for breakfast. For lunch or dinner, we usually opt for other fast food spots like In-N-Out, which is down the street. Here's what we get: - Sausage McMuffin with egg - Sausage Egg Cheese McGriddle - Big Breakfast for my toddler - Coffee!!! Oh and we usually order on their app so I can't really speak on what it looks inside this location. On the app they offer free items or great deals on breakfast items like the buy one get one free sandwich. If you order on the app, you can just stay in your car and head to the drive thru, share your number and then pick up the food at the window. Super easy and no wait! You can also collect points to earn free stuff. To end this review, McDonald's breakfast isn't the healthiest option, but if you're in a hurry or tight on time, it's a great choice. So thats very cool as some cards "expire" hoping that you wont use them and you end up losing money. We visited this location and there was no line even at dinner time about 6 pm, and was happy to see the remodeled drive through and building. The flavors were good, but disappointed that meat was dry. 2. Nuggets {4/5 stars, $5} - Crispy, crunchy, and tender. No complaints from others. Well I guess they don't give you a receipt because they would hate for you to take a survey about the service youre about to receive. Going through the drive-thru today, I was first asked something about whether or not I had ordered on their mobile app. What are you even talking about? I'm in my car driving... not on my phone looking up the McDonald's mobile app to place an order. Seems like a better question for people that are walking inside to eat. Follow that up with me placing an order for the #5 meal (10 nuggets for $12). Behind the first window sat the most unenthusiastic and monotone kid who's ever existed. Not even a thank you or smile. Then pull to the second window and get handed my unsweetened iced tea first then my straw then my bag containing 1 napkin 10 nuggets and the fries. No offer of ketchup and no buffalo sauce, like requested. I asked the guy about my buffalo sauce for my nuggets and he said "it's in the bag at the bottom" so I took out the two items that were in there and showed him there was no buffalo sauce in my bag. So, he gave me.... one buffalo sauce. I asked him if the 10-piece nugget comes with two sauces and he said "no, just one". Awful clucking service for mediocre food at a poor value. Going to McDonald's - I do not expect much, it is just for a cheap and quick meal. I have been to this particular location 2 times and both times, I felt kind of queasy and weird afterwards, compared to their other locations. Service is non-existent because there are no employees at the front to take your orders, so you are forced to use the kiosk to order. I had trouble using the kiosk because they would not let me add anything to the cart, so I had to try to get the attention of a staff member to order up front, which was difficult. I usually get the Filet-O-Fish meal and maybe an additional order of Chicken McNuggets, if I am very hungry. The food tasted like any other McDonald's, but I got sick shortly after eating it.
