    The Chic

We tried the chic, egghead salad, the hojicha latte, and the hojicha. the chic - 10/10, very delicious! the chicken cutlet was fried perfectly and well-seasoned (like a giant popcorn chicken), which paired greatly with the house sauce. the bread was toasty, arugula added for for a hint of freshness, and the egg inside was sunny side--with the yolk oozing inside. hands down the star of our visit! would come back again for this sandwich. egghead salad - 4/10, not that great. only got it because of the promo, but definitely gives the vibe of something tossed together. comes with greens, onion, scrambled egg mixture, pieces of parmesan, and a slice of american cheese. would skip this the next visit. brown sugar hojicha latte - 7/10, hojicha latte was great but a little too milky. you get hints of the hojicha with the notes of the brown sugar. hojicha - 10/10, definitely preferred this drink. hojicha tea was strong (had a great roasted flavor) and was not too sweet. The restaurant is extremely small inside, basically has the counter to order (along with two kiosk next to it), two small tables with two chairs each. Luckily there's a good amount of seating outside. We ordered through kiosk so not too much interaction with staff but food came out pretty quickly after we ordered. Overall, food is delicious with fair pricing, would definitely come back again!

This is such a good breakfast sandwich place, it's now my spot. The spot is cute and welcoming, creates a calm ambiance. I love the friendly staff and how fast you get your order. My strawberry matcha was amazing not too sweet and not too bland. I had the BEC make sure you try that if you are unsure of what to get.

NOMd: - loaded breakfast tots. literally loaded with tator tots! did not match the egg and onion ratio tho. got sauce on the side and the container was only filled halfway - not enough for that mountain of tator tots. very dry and mediocre. would def add stuff in it but for $9 you get a lot of tots. YUMd: - banana cream iced matcha latte. dark and bitter matcha (not my fav i prefer light and nutty). the banana wasn't too sweet or artificial tasting. service, etc.: cute and small little place. ordered online and was ready within 15 min.

Service was quick and accurate. Space is very tidy, I got take out. Hawaiian morning is tasty, can have more meat and less arugula. Strawberry Milk tastes good. Parking is ok, the closest spots are mostly 20 mins spots.

I was excited to try the matcha at Egghead, but was a bit underwhelmed by their iced matcha latte. I like a strong matcha tea flavor, but I got stronger hints of the whole milk. I do appreciate how quick the drink was made. Seating can be a challenge with very few spots inside so just plan to enjoy your food/drink outside or back at home. While I was not impressed with their matcha latte, I do plan to come back and see how their hojicha is.

Cute and small spot for sandos! Reminded me of a this one cafe I used to go to a lot during college, which I was craving. There's not much seating inside, but there's a couple of tables that seat 4 outside. You order at the self kiosk where there are many options of sandos and drinks. There was the breakfast burger, veggie one with avocado and cheese, and chicken options that come with an overeasy egg. They have your classic strawberry matcha, but also hojicha! I will say it's more on the pricey side... What we got: - Chic Sandwich: more of the thin cut Taiwanese chicken, but great ratio with everything else & delicious with the arugula! wish there was more aioli though - Breakfast Burger: burger meat was too thin, nothing crazy here - Waffle fries: crispyyyy really good in the spicy mayo sauce - Strawberry Matcha: matcha was watery, best part was the strawberry puree I'd come back for the chic sandwich! Nice that they have a spot like this near me now, but not good for my wallet haha.

Egghead Sando Cafe in San Ramon is located in the Diablo Plaza shopping center, next to Orient Express. My buddy George F. and I checked out this place on 06/07/2025. It was quite busy when we walked in at around 10:30am. The shop was tiny and cramped. There were only two tiny tables for dine-in customers and a few more outside. We decided to order on the kiosk since there were no descriptions and prices on the menu above the counter. George opted for the Side Chic and Passion Fruit and Orange Green Tea, and I got the Breakfast Burger and Egghead Cafe Latte. The total was about $42 before tip. Kind of pricy for two breakfast sandwiches and two drinks. We had to sit outside since both of the tables inside were taken. The tables outside were kind of dirty. I spotted some bird poop on one of them. The food took about 10 minutes to be ready. The Breakfast Burger was OK. On the positive side, the brioche bun was fresh, soft, and eggy. On the somewhat negative side, the egg yolk was soft but not runny, and I really couldn't taste the quality of the beef. IMHO, I thought it was kind of average. The latte was pretty decent. The robust coffee taste was exactly what I wanted and needed at that moment. The young woman at the counter was friendly. Perhaps they can invest in an announcement system to let people sitting outside know that their orders are ready. Overall, i thought the experience was just OK. For me, return trip is unlikely unless someone really wants to go. 3 stars.

Came here a few times before giving an honest review. I'd give it a 3.5/5 though. A tiny establishment with a small menu. Service was quick and you can order at their counter or on their kiosk. I tried their Scramble and the B.E.C. Their sandwiches aren't anything special in my opinion and are a bit overpriced for what you get. Their coffees are ok. This time I tried their banana cream iced latte which wasn't bad, but could use a little more banana flavor.

I came here to try to banana matcha and it was pretty good. I am going to have to come back and try the banana latte and a breakfast sandwich of course. I got the small banana matcha with almond milk and honey. Not sure if the honey was added, couldn't tell but it was topped with two fresh bananas and had light ice. I would definitely come back again. I ordered online and it was ready when I got there. It's small inside. I was in and out but didn't see much of anywhere to sit inside. It's seating outside in the shopping center.

Order kiosk if you want to quickly place an order yourself.

Egg Sammy spot tucked away in Diablo Plaza. Great variety of different egg sammies on home made brioche buns. I got the Side Chic: egg was cook perfectly and the chimichurri added some good flavor with the thick cut bacon. Prices were reasonable with most options right around the $13 range. Will definitely have to try some other options next time!

Always love their eggy, and brought my daughter to try this time. Eggy - poached egg, bacon, mashed potatoes sounds like a weird combination but trust me, they are surprisingly good when eat with toasted baguette. Baguette was nicely toasted to make the whole experience level went up. Hawaiian Morning Sandwich - the sandwich is well balanced with egg, salad, and spam (of course) Pinks Supreme - very minty, citrusy and refreshing Price - average high, is it worth it? It worths for a try but will be better if it's cheaper Seating - the store is not big so not much seating inside, but there is tables where you can eat outside.

The recently opened Egghead Sando Cafe in San Ramon in the Safeway shopping center. They had a Yelp event, but fellow Yelp elite Harvey and I were not chosen, so we decided to try it out ourselves. We ordered the Chic and breakfast burger. Fried chicken with a medium egg arugula, spicy mayo, bacon on a brioche bun. Five stars Breakfast burger ground beef, medium egg, cheddar cheese, bacon, brioche bun. Five stars ** thick cut bacon $3 extra After adds the sandos came out to be $15 each Drinks $5 Passion fruit green tea Iced coffee They make every sandwich to order so on a busy morning it takes a little time. Tiny interior, outside tables Plenty of parking

Quick bite with fast service. The food was good, but not great. The orange juice was fresh, which was a plus. My only complaint was the mosquitoes inside I noticed three on the chair in front of me while I was eating, which definitely killed my appetite.

It took 20 minutes to place our order, during which time we saw the owner/manager get into an argument with customers and kick them out for waiting for a table in the wrong area. I can appreciate a busy establishment and don't like to review based on service alone. However, when our server finally came he was rushed and rude. The food and value, or lack thereof, is the real cause for such a bad review. The Icelandic Benedict was inedible. The English muffin was soggy and brown with grease or some mystery sauce. A waste of $21. My daughter ordered the Nutella crepes ($18) and they were not filled with anything - just topped with some Nutella and sauce. My husband ordered the Belgian waffle and described it as rubbery. The food was overpriced and not good. Service was worse than the food.

The shop is located in a plaza with several eateries, and it sits right by a courtyard with tables and chairs. There are a few tables inside as well. They are very efficient with their morning rush. I was ordering for several people, so I thought it would be more efficient to place my order online, even though it does state that their prices are 14% higher when ordering online (via Doordash). However, when I came to pick up my order, I was shocked that the online prices are WAY more than 14% higher. For example, their most popular item, the Eggwich with cheese and meat, is $8.45 online and only $6.39 in store. That's 32%. Ouch! PRO TIP: order in store if you're gonna go in to pick up anyway. So, how was the food? Actually quite good. What we got: + Eggwich with ham and cheese - bagel was soft and there was a decent amount of ham and eggs. + Eggwich with sausage and cheese on Jalapeno cheese bagel - the Jalapeno bagel was spicier than I expected. I had to pluck off a few Jalapenos, but I enjoyed the sandwich. + Pastrami sandwich on a roll - this was served on dutch crunch. Sandwich was tasty with a generous amount of pastrami and a good combination of veggies. Overall, a good bagel/sandwich shop in a great location. Their sandwiches are quite large for the low (in store) prices. Oh, they also have boba tea drinks and Vietnamese coffee. But we didn't try any of the drinks.

Curious to see if any changes were made to the restaurant or its menu, we met here for brunch on 10/04/2025. Upon entering at around 10:30am, we were immediately greeted and seated by the staff. The interior was clean, and the only change I noticed was they replaced the booths with tables. The menu was pretty much the same as before, with some new items added to it. George opted for the Baja Fish Tacos and I got the Meat Lover's Omelette. In addition to the food, we also ordered a couple beverages. Our order didn't take long to arrive. My omelette was made with bacon, sausage, ham, and a medley of chopped vegetables and it tasted pretty good. The accompanied Cajun seasoned country potatoes were pretty pedestrian. George gave me one of his tacos and it was delicious. The deep fried catfish used was crunchy on the outside and moist and flavorful on the inside. Service we received was very good. The staff member were attentive and efficient. The restaurant biz is challenging these days so hopefully the new Clementine's will be able to find its footing.
