Labor Day late lunch. Drive through has someone working who does not speak English. Sorry but you must have someone who understands what you're asking for. Ordered a frozen slurpee coke with my lunch. The lady working the 2nd window was rude!!! Short with me. Kept closing the window on me as I was taking. Had to wait for my drink several minutes while my food got cold. She finally showed up with a coke and ice cream on top. I said I ordered a slurpee. She said we don't sell slurpees. I said yes you do it a coke that's frozen. She went to get it and clearly was mad. Delivered it rudely with half of it going down the side of the cup. Got home and my fries were pure grease and cold. So much so the grease went through the bag. Burger not any better. Never again at this location!! read more

Ordered Breakfast this morning at 10am in the drive thru lane. My order was wrong at the pick up window. They tried to hand me 2 medium Orange Juices. The lady taking the orders just NEEDS to slow down. I clearly said "2 large Orange Juices" and the lady said "is that it?" I said no, and ordered my other items, again, she says "is that it?" No, it's not. (just let me tell you my order) so, I order another item. Again, says "is that it?" Nooo, it is not. Is this employee trained to ask this, repetitively? No other vehicle was behind me. This location needs better customer service skills. I don't want to be rude telling her to slow down, but as I'm leaving this review, I do see others have had the same issue with this employee. I almost forgot I wrote an update years ago. Since 2020, I've only come to this McDonald's out of necessity since they are the closest one to where I live. Same issues with missing items. I've made a habit to park and check the items before I drive off. Most of the time they are apologetic since they forgot to give me the additional bag of food. Yesterday was a different story. We got back home late after flying back from vacation. I proceeded to mobile order, but had to go through the drive through since it was late. I order 40 chicken McNuggets, a large fries, and a Big Mac meal. I picked up my order and check the contents. Not my surprise, they were missing 20 chicken McNuggets. I had to run up to the drive thru window and tell them that they were missing 20 pcs of nuggets. I had my bag with me and showed them to the best of my ability since it was dark and the fries were flying all over on top. The lady, maybe the supervisor gave me the bag with 20 nuggets but was adamant that she placed 4 boxes of 10 in my bag. I wish they would've just owned up to it. This is the only McDonald's that gets orders wrong on almost every time I go there. read more

They sent every single drive-through customer to the parking lot and wait. They would wait until they have 3-4 orders ready before they walked out and handed them to the people waiting in their cars. People were getting impatient and began walking inside. They forgot the sauce I requested so I still had to walk inside.. No surprise that this location has only 2 stars read more

This is my go to McDonald near my work. Team is cheerful and attentive, and the food is always well prepared. The inside is spacious and probably die for a refresh, but clean and serviceable. They have video stations to entertain kids, which are always in working order. The prices here are high compared to other McDonald's, which is disappointing but understandable. It's an expensive area and the choices are slim in this side of 101. Ample parking. Good curbside and drive through service. Well run; one star off for the higher prices. read more

Every time we visit, there's a mistake with our order. The woman in the drive-through is yelling at you "is that it", "is that it", "is that it"? After every item that you order before you can even get the next item out of your mouth, sometimes you're having to repeat what you order because she talks over you and when she repeats what she thinks you said, it's the incorrect item. And she still ends up typing in the wrong item after you've repeated it three times. Calm down... One occasion my entire meal was wrong, correct on the receipt but entirely incorrect on the bag. The next time, half the items are incorrect. So we go back in to correct the food items and then realize the drink was incorrect as well. I don't know if they just need to slow down, especially the woman doing the drive through window. It's not that serious, there's only two cars in line. I'd rather wait a few more minutes and get our order right instead of being barked at and the majority of our order being incorrect and needing to go in. We're done with this location...taking our business elsewhere. read more

The Drive Thru window at 2850 Augustine Dr, Santa Clara, CA 95054 is always sending customers to wait areas. At first it was not too bad, but has gotten to the point that they want to keep the drive thru looking empty while paying customers are forced to move out of the drive thru into a waiting area which takes much longer. This practice needs to stop. Other locations don't make you wait every time. In the last three visits I had to wait for the order, and they all took over five minutes. Going through a drive thru should not be this painful. read more

I only come to McDonald's for a couple of things. From the outside this location looks pretty big and clean. They have a big drive thru. They would've earned 5 stars because the food was really fresh. I ordered 2 large fries, 3 hamburgers, 10 nuggets and a caramel sundae. They did not get two of the burgers correct and I shouldn't checked before leaving. I tried to call and let them know but the didn't answer. The service was quick but the some of the food was waster because it wqs incorrect. UPDATE: I went back to order breakfast in the morning and to politely see if I could get something for the mistake. I asked at the window but they said since it was breakfast the manager couldnt help but to ask her at the second window. I asked for anything it could be two orange juices or something. Whenever we start our road trip we always start with McD ... it's something which we enjoy for past 20+ yrs ... it's nostalgia for us. We always order Egg McMuffin , Sausage McMuffin with egg or Sausage Egg & Cheese Biscuit with hash browns & regular house coffee . I love their Egg McMuffin not very heavy , since I don't prefer to eat early morning. Also , I am one of those who likes to put my hash brown on napkins to soak the oils ... I can't help it... I don't like my fingers to smell of oil... It's fast , hot & something to start our day early in the morning before the long drive. The staff here are really mean. They placed my food bags on a rack labeled "mobile pick-up." I had placed two separate orders--one of them had my name clearly visible, so I took that one. But the other bag had its label turned away from me. Although it's closest to my home, I will never come to this place again, I'd rather drive further for better service. If this is a franchise, corporate needs to look into how badly these employees are trained, and why they put people who barely understand English at the drive thru? Terrible service! For a long time they had a very loud gruff and rude lady at the microphone for the drive thru. She'd bark at you rather than sound polite. Then they put another person who sounds unfriendly, and also seems to have trouble with understanding the English language. So many mistakes!! It took me so long to ask for corrections at the window, I ended up being late to work, which is ridiculous as I had plenty of time had my order been correct. The kiosk let click on the "Collectors Meal" and check out with no signs or warnings the cup is not included in the "Collectors Meal". So it it the one of the coldest nights on record (SF had broke a 132 year record low), and I was watching The Founder on Netflix which is about the McDonald's story (which came first, the chicken or the egg?)..so of course you want McDonal's fries with sweet and sour sauce at 4:00 AM. The first 24/7 McDonald I went to, turns out to be closed in Sunnyvale. The other 24/7 location in Mountain View was closed on Yelp. Turns out there is another 24/7 location in Santa Clara 5 minutes away (this location). Again this location turns out to be closed too. Ended up as the last customer at Jack in the Box for some reason since their computer system might be going down too. Been here a few times over the years, so the food has been average, but it is a busy location for sure. One of the best McDonald's location by far in the area, is the 696 N Mathilda Ave, Sunnyvale location. Crisp hot fries that is lightly salted, golden brown nuggets with just enough breading, and fast friendly service over the years. It closed at 10 PM though, which it would be open later, as this place would be amazing for sure! read more

As has been our tradition whenever we go on a local trip, we will stop here for a coffee and some quick bites as a real early morning breakfast. And for the past 2 decades this Augustine Drive franchise of McD's has never disappointed us! Spotlessly Clean, decent and friendly service and always quiet (especially at wee hours of the morning) we started our Labor Day weekend trip up to Albion CA from here as well . Food was served quickly without any misses and we quickly had our coffee and started our journey from Santa Clara CA to Petaluma and then onto Bodega Bay and Freestone and then driving over to Albion CA. I rarely come to this location and every single time I come here they send me to the drive through waiting area to wait for my food, I have waited almost an hour after n some occasions, they never come out. I have had to physically get out of my car to check on my food and they won't even acknowledge you inside the building. Today they sent me to wait for my food I the drive thru waiting area. The woman taking my order did not speak English and when I asked a question about the order she told me to save my questions for the second window. McDonald's is what McDonald's is all about. Fast convenient food that is good enough when needed. I usually get two sausage burritos when I head out every Wednesday morning for golf (one for now and one after nine holes). It gives me energy to walk and play for six miles (walking of course). Sometimes on a weekend event I will get the two for one sausage McMuffin with egg deal from the app. I guess the app is the best thing from McDonald's and I hope they continue to keep it going with the deals. And yes it is good to get some food for long trips. Being open 25x7 does increase the convenience factor. read more

So, they still got those self-serve fountain drink dispensers, but this time they were roped off when we we there, though, later while eating the moved the ropes to cover an even larger area... This is the closest McDonald's to my workplace, but a total disappointment. I want to be fair and give them two stars (technically 1.5 stars but I rounded up) for the location and alright food. They never get my order right and the service is blah. Every now and then I get a decent worker. I always order a vanilla iced coffee and lately it has been tasting funny. They ran out of vanilla this time, so I got the hazelnut flavor. It tasted like the vanilla one. Now I'm thinking they may have been giving me the wrong flavor this whole time. Additionally, I ordered a cheese danish and the gal said no I didn't. She got the manager and clearly it showed on the receipt. I was at this location last night, and to my surprise, the dining room was closed, but the drive through was open; indeed, the inside was popping off with fun workers, so I decided to not get my hopes up and go to the drive through. Despite me politely walking up to the microphone (no one was around) the worker yelled at me, saying I needed a vehicle to order. I told the worker the vehicle was my own two feet and my patient attitude. We went back and forth, and then the worker switched his microphone to the next order lane. Nuggets are so poorly cooked and the manager couldn't speak a word of English, which could be manageable but instead it also contributed to not being able to use a discount on the app because he couldn't communicate with me.
