Face it....McDonalds is iconic. I'm never gonna stop going there because you can't beat their french fries and their Coke I mean it's the best you can get. I'll tell you what they bank on that. The customer service sucks. You have to wait in the drive-through line forever. If gas wasn't so high, I would go to the other end of town and go to that McDonald's, but no, I'm stuck dealing with it. And to add insult to injury because I was waiting forever in line while I started this review, I get to the window and my food order is wrong. Employees always are in a bad mood and never hurry up with food! Always missing something in my order because you have 15yrs screaming and playing around in the back. You shouldn't hire immature people if they can't actually take your order correctly. This has happened more than once when you correct them they usually get in that bad mood. read more

First we were ignored for several minutes because we wanted someone to take our order vs using the kiosk. 2nd had to actually flag someone to take our order and had to do that twice. I 3rd Ordered coffee with my breakfast and ask for cream on the side. They poured cream in and put cream on the side. Was filled to the brim and spilled when I took off the lid. 3rd strike, Also was freezing cold inside with cold air blowing on us the entire time we ate. Was a 29 degree cold day and they had cold air blowing in the dining room. Everyone inside eating was bundled up in coats. Ask them and was told the kitchen was hot. Couldn't understand why the music playing was in another language, couldn't understand a word.. On a happy note, the bathrooms were very clean. This is by far one of the worst McDonalds. They do not care about the quality of food they serve. It's really sad that it continues to go downhill . Worst operated McDonald's I've ever been to. I should know since I live near this one (and I've been to McD's all over the US). This one gets the prize for the worst. I've given it more chances than it deserves. It never fails to disappoint. Even the other McD's with the same owner are run better. Why does the owner tolerate this? Workers constantly goofing off, or running behind the counter to get more "free food" during their break after they've eaten their free meal already, or getting in the way when they aren't even on the clock. The manager taking orders refused to let me order an ice water in the drive through. I wanted to pay for it- he wouldn't let me. I have a 4, 2, and 1 year old little boys, it's raining, I needed to pay for an ice water in a drive through. Terrible service. There is such a thing as an above par McDonalds, although in my opinion rare. No issues ordering and staff was friendly. My quarter ponder combo with fries was hot and tasty. The self serve drink area was the only area that needed some amount of tidying up, but not bad. The dining room was overall tidy. No question 3.5 and rounding up. Nice to see this because I actually like their food. However I cannot deal with how inconsistent the chain is and stay away. read more

Tony and I are trying to cut back on our spending...so for lunch on our adventure, McDonald's $1 menu was the big winner. $2.19 for 2 McChicken Sandwiches. Not a bad sandwich for the price really. This McDonalds is one of the worst I've been to and continues to show it with their rude and unprofessional staff. We went here today only because we were right across the street. They only gave us half our order even though we had our receipt showing what we ordered and they argued and told us our receipt was wrong. They told us we would have to pay for whatever else we wanted even though our receipt showed we had already paid for the items. How do you rate a McDonald's. The food is all the same but some places have better service than others. This location always provides prompt service no matter how many customers arrive at once. The drive-thru often looks congested but it actually moves quite efficiently. (They also tend to be a little more generous with the tarter sauce on the filet of fish which I appreciate. If you don't like tarter sauce tell them to hold it or go light.) read more

It's McDonald's... C'mon - we all know what it tastes like and this one's no different. We all know this location's drive-thru is almost as inefficiently run as the Stalinist regime. What I find particularly disingenuous is the farce portrayed as "ordering". You will receive what they decide to put into your sack. I have not received a complete, correct order in 3 visits during the last 6 weeks. Today, I specifically asked if one of my "ordered" items was in the sack I was handed. I was emphatically, and somewhat incredulously, assured the order was exactly as placed. Who is going to be surprised that when I got home, I discovered the clerk was either ignorant about what had placed in my sack, or perhaps too lazy to place all of the items in the bag, or was just being intentionally deceptive? This is a 20 year long management problem at this particular McD's. Well, no more for me. I'm done. Ya'll won't ever have to worry about me adding to the crowded, glacially slow drive thru here. Real shame there is not a "zero" rating. McDonalds is a prime example of the nose dive that fast food restaurants have taken. I used to frequent the Shelbyville store but no more. When, after three consecutive visits you can't get the cup of coffee you ordered, it's time to try a new vendor. Drive through is a nightmare and you usually can't understand the person manning the station. I'm afraid I'm not fluent in Spanish, so it's real difficult trying to figure out what's being said. I grab drive thru here more often than I'd like to admit, and the service is always wonderful! The food is as good as McDonalds gets, but it's the people who work here that sway me to eat at this one rather than the one on the other side of town.
