I started using the Taco Bell app today. What a mess! First, I put in the order while in the parking lot and then found out in the drive thru that the order was placed with a different Taco Bell. I had to drive across town to pick up the order. Granted I should've paid closer attention to the address of the restaurant, but I didn't think it was unreasonable to expect it to route me to the closest restaurant. I drove across town and went through the drive-through and gave them the code that the app said to give them. They asked me what I wanted?! After some confusion she said oh you have a mobile order? You said you had a code not a mobile order. What the heck! Yes, I had a code because the mobile app gave me a code. Anyway, the overall experience was terrible. I am hoping that if I come back, I have a better experience and have learned how to avoid the pitfalls. This is definitely not a stream less user experience they have going. My wife went with the number 3 chicken quesadilla meal that comes with a taco and drink. She loves the cinnamon twists so she got one of those as well. While I went with the Luxe Box that comes with triple crunch wrap, taco, been burrito, and cinnamon twists. This is not a Military friendly restaurant. read more

This place was pretty OK in the past and we ate there regularly but around the time of the covid 19 pandemic it started to fade and now I'd say on 1 to 10 scale it's banging around 2. We had not been there in a while but those $5, $7 & $9 boxes looked tempting. My wife does not eat red meat so I asked if I could substitute chicken for the beef for one of the Tacos in a $9 box. Without any eye contact Robert said "Yup you can but for $1.50 charge". Really? I said, Yup! So I asked about eliminating the soft drink for the chicken taco, Nope! So I took it anyway. Bad mistake. I've eaten at this Taco Bell my entire life. It's always been pretty mediocre. 9x out of 10 our order is correct and decently thrown together. Most of the time we run through the drive thru instead of dining. They're pretty efficient, so we never wait long. Yesterday we opted to dine in. The kids love eating inside of fast food restaurants... weird, I know. Anyways, we ordered from the kiosk. It was user friendly and helped skip the line. The employee working the counter was so nice and professional. If she had her badge on I'd give her props by name. She gave us our cups, unlike McDonald's kiosks that you self serve them. This is where it goes wonky. They were out of small lids, mild sauce (?!?!?), and napkins (they were giving out brown bathroom paper towels). This is a common occurrence here. They are always out of stuff. I don't get it! In addition to that, the store was dirty. Floors were caked with dirt, flies EVERYWHERE, tables were all dirty, and I didn't dare go check out the bathroom. This place just got a full reno, get it together! Not much to say. Friendly good comfort food. First Taco Bell is not Mexico food ask any Mexican. We are from Arizona and we get good Mexican food. That aside. I like to eat there especially when out running errands, shopping or need a quick bite to eat. I hav ealways liked their food and you can depend or what you get will be the same everywhere or almost everywhere. Only complaint is they need to spend more time keeping the tables and floor cleaned. The food was ready very quickly. My order tasted fresh but my husband felt that his had been made and sitting before we ordered (we each ordered different $5 boxes). Despite us being the only patrons, the lobby was filthy. About half of the tables appeared to have been used without anyone cleaning up afterwards. Two had high chairs at them with leftover items (straw wrapper, unused sauce packets) and they remained in this state throughout our 30 min stay. The floor looked as though it hadn't been spot swept at all during the day. Had the restaurant been busy I would've understood some of the mess, but as dead as the lobby and drive thru was during our visit, surely they could've spared a worker to clean up the lobby a bit. read more

Went in ordered 6 Taco Supremes, ask for extra sour cream because they never put anything on them they charge $0.50 for each taco for the sour cream. As we were eating them, the first two had extra sour cream squirted in on the end so that means they were pre-made when we got to the last for they had nothing in them they were the worst tacos I've ever had in my life. Not only did they not have any sour cream but they did not have extra sour cream that we were charged $0.50 a taco for. All their food is skimpy I will never go there again. read more

Wow. I am appalled. I've had many bad experiences with this Taco Bell before but this is outrageous! I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I went through the drive through and ordered 2 power bowls and he gave me 2 salad things that I didn't order so I had to go inside and get them replaced but they didn't give me a receipt at the drive through so they tried to tell me that that's what I ordered, when in fact, it was not... So, they replaced it and gave me what I ordered, but I later discovered that the sour cream inside was ranch and not sour cream after all. In the drive through I also ordered a root beer with my combo. The man charged me for a large drink and when I pulled up to the window he made a joke about giving me a Diet Pepsi instead of root beer because it had "a lot of sugar in it" and he called me fat!!! This experience was so bad that when I got my food I was literally scared of what they might have put in it because they were angry that they had to replace it! I feel so insulted and offended by these people and don't doubt that I won't be calling the corporate office tomorrow!! The entire store inside and out was filthy. Behind the counter employees were sliding in dropped food, empty food bags, and wrappings. The prep area was filthy and had they did not wipe it the 20 minutes we were waiting for a to-go order. The prep guy put hamburger back in the pan from the prep area. The wrappings were smeared on the outside with food from the prep area. The young guy at the register left his money drawer open and walked away. (STUPID) Had to wait on beef to be heated and my order was made incorrect. Told Manager with no action. Totally dissatisfied!!! read more

I have lived in Shelbyville for 30 years, and I don't know why I continue to go back to our Taco Bell. The food is pathetic! It isn't that hard to read a monitor and make food, but every single time my order is wrong. I never complain, I always ask for a replacement. I am over it this time. I am pregnant, and just wanted to get my order and get home. I get home to find that after spending almost $10.00 my order is WRONG yet again. I asked for no lettuce on my potato taco, and it has lettuce. I paid an extra .50 to get spicy ranch on my quesadilla, just to find the corner pieces have no chicken, cheese, or sauce. PATHEIC!!! Whoever the GM is for this store needs to get it together and put in some quality control for their staff and hold them accountable. There is no reason that I have to ask for a replacement every single time, especially after waiting in line for over 20 mins. Don't go through the drive through after 11 pm. Ordered chalupas and when I got them they were crispy and dry shells obviously been sitting out awhile and the hard shell taco that comes with the meal was just that a hard shell taco shell all the meat and lettuce and cheese was in the bag loose. I usually have been happy with my purchases at this taco bell, but lately we have been getting crap. Our orders are screwed up or we don't get all of our order and the portions are next to nothing. For instance, this past Saturday evening my husband happened to be in Shelbyville. We live in Eminence, a twenty minute drive. He went to the drive through and there was long lines both inside and outside. He ordered the 12 taco 'variety' pack and a steak quesadilla. When he got the order he asked the guy at the drive through if it was the variety pack and he insisted it was and not wanting to hold up the line to check himself he took his word for it and decided to just come home. When I opened the box they were all plain tacos with hardly anything in them. They were almost as thin as an envelope and a couple didn't have but a teaspoon of product. They were also cold, not warm, and stale as though they had been sitting awhile. As for the quesadilla it wasn't any better, there were two or three bite sized pieces of steak on the whole thing. for nearly $15 we could have got two plates of authentic Mexican food from one of the local restaurants and enjoyed it more. My husband said the service was slower than it needed to be and the attitudes weren't great. I called the manager to complain, Miranda and her phone manner was poor. She sounded insolent and indifferent. She said Jake was the manager that evening. She did offer to give us the tacos that we didn't get in our pack, but I don't think we'll be going there again. People in management need to be well trained, instead of giving jobs to kids or people with poor people skills. Hardee's doesn't have the variety that taco bell has, but you get what you pay for and they treat people much better. read more
