I am currently sitting in the drive-through of this particular location and we have all been waiting almost a half hour for our food. I don't know what is going on inside, but this is completely unacceptable.. if I could've gotten out of the line I would've read more

Our order was simple but I had to comment on the efficiency. The order was easily placed and repeated. There were two vehicles in front of us at the drive thru, one car obviously had a large order, that being the only delay. The employee at the window was fast and very cordial. Our order was correct and my husband said he was impressed with his sandwiches. Overall a great visit and we will definitely be back. read more

The staff here pay little or no attention to customers. Even when asked a direct question, rather than speaking, they would simply point. We ordered using the table app, which indicated that our food would be brought to the table. Instead, they did not come out from behind the counter, but yelled out from where they were that the order was ready. We had to remind them that we were not provided our drinks and only then did they provide cups. The fries were soggy. The burgers did not taste fresh. Some of us felt a little bit sick at our stomachs after eating there. We noticed other people had similar experiences in getting the attention of staff while we were there. Some actually walked out, and we wish we had done the same. Saint Simons Island has such a reputation for customer service and a welcoming environment in their sit down restaurants. It's sad that a McDonald's on the same island would be such a far cry from that. Recommendation: if you're looking for fast food, go to the deli counter of Winn-Dixie. It'll be less expensive and tastes better. read more

I went in this McDonalds today about 1 PM and stood at the counter at least 10 minutes trying to get someone to take my order. Three employees were in the cooking area having a very animated converstation. One of them would glance at me occasionally and then go back to the conversation. I finally left with no food. Ordered our food from the kiosk and we were being sprinkled with rain water leaking from the roof. As we waited for our food we noticed an employee chatting by the French fries and was eating out of the cooked French fry bin, she helped herself to more as she kept talking, she didn't notice us there while waiting for our food to be prepared. The ice dispenser machine had sitting water in the tray which looked gross. Both bathrooms were not sanitary. At least there was a wet caution sign at the cashier station to avoid slipping as we picked up our meal. read more

Here's what one can generally expect here: 1. Slow service (never enough employees it seams) 2. Often difficult to communicate with employees 3. The place is often unkempt -- tables not cleared/cleaned, hand sanitizer dispenser not filled, etc. McD's are generally mediocre-poor due to their poor food quality but this one is below average -- even for McDonalds. read more

This is the worst MCDonalds I have ever been to. And I'm old. It is filthy. The bathrooms haven't been cleaned in forever. The restaurant has garbage in tables and everywhere. Water is dripping over the registers from air conditioning and the staff truly doesn't care. Waited forever for someone to even take my order. Unfortunately, this McDonald's has the worst service of any fast food restaurant I've been to. First, the doors to the restaurant are almost always locked. You cannot reach a manager you cannot speak to an employee. Second, the drive-through employees are as slow as almost any fast food place I've ever been to. There is constantly a line of cars waiting, but not moving. Finally, in the evenings, the restaurant is not supposed to close until 11 PM. However, the employees unilaterally make the decision they don't want to work and begin telling people at about 845 or 9 o'clock that they're not taking any more orders for the night. Vehicle after vehicle of potential McDonald's customers comes through the drive-through and is turned away because the employees don't wanna do any more work. my guess is that if the corporate office or the owner of the franchise knew this, they would be extremely upset. I genuinely don't know how this location is still operating. Every single time I go through something happens. The employees don't communicate to each other or customers because they always have AirPods in, the food is poor quality (stale or cold), an item is always missing, the inside is either closed or opened at any point during the day, and I tried going in the drive-thru at 9pm on a Friday and waited 10 minutes for someone to say "oh we're closed." After asking why all I got was silence. This isn't the first time any of this has happen. 0/5 stars. Don't waste your time here. read more

I have been living on the Island for five years, and the service is terrible, the order takers are rude, the food is ALWAYS missing an egg, or the burrito is unreaveled, or worse. I have visited often. Today is my LAST time. I try to give people a chance but this McDonalds needs to be cleared out and new staff and management brought in. First, the person taking the orders for the drive through is RUDE. I don't know if it's one woman or several but she/they needs a HUGE attitude adjustment. This happens mostly in the afternoon, mind you. I will get to the mornings in a moment. Anyway, if you are ordering at the drive through in the p.m., expect the woman to be speaking to you taking your order and simultaneously training or speaking to other staff. This may be the main reason my order is ALWAYS wrong. When I get up to the window, my money is taken, but then I'm asked to pull up to the door while my food is being prepared. WHY? there is no one else in the drive thru. You don't have a few hamburgers microwaved to go? Come on! When they FINALLY (I've waited 3-5 minutes in the drive thru) bring your food; it's the wrong order. Something is missing, something is added, it's really a mystery as to what you will get. The LAST straw is this morning. I knew I should have passed the place by, but I was running late and needed some coffee and a something to eat. I have adopted a low-carb diet, so I knew what I wanted order. A sausage and egg biscuit ( I was going to lose the biscuit) and an Americano coffee. When I ordered, I saw the screen reflect my exact order. But what did I get? A sausage biscuit ( no egg) and caramel macchiato (has a whopping 50 carbs!) I was in a hurry and didn't check until I got to work. I'm pretty sure most of the staff is illiterate, or pure evil. Visit this place at your own risk. I was stupid enough to visit more than once. INSANE! I was greeted at the drive-thru by a female employee who yelled "Yeah?" when greeting me. I proceeded to order a happy meal and while doing so the employee yelled at me, literally, yelled what I wanted next. I said that I wasn't finished with the happy meal choice and was yelled at again "I already got what you want! What now?" I asked why she was yelling at me and she said because she already knew what I was ordering. I started to speak to continue my order and she yelled at me again! I told her not to yell at me and as I was driving off, she screamed some obscenities through the window toward me. This woman was PSYCHO. I had my 5-year-old granddaughter in the car listening to this craziness. This was the most outrageous experience I have ever encountered ordering a simple happy meal. This employee should NOT be working anywhere with the amount of rage she displays. It was clear I bothered her by coming to the drive-thru. She was pissed that she had to actually work. This behavior was clearly accepted by the manager because there was no way that the entire restaurant did not hear this! read more

My experience at this McD's is consistent with many previous reviews....it's beyond terrible !! When we placed our order in the drive-thru we heard the employee loudly groan when my wife asked for a mocha coffee. They couldn't figure out how to make a cup of coffee and said it would be about 15 minutes to process the order. Needless to say, we passed. The employee wasn't worth 15 cents/hr. read more
