I think it is safe to say Frosty's is a whole in wall spot, when you think of the area its located in. St. Simons is a nice quiet little beach town from what I could tell when I visited. With that being said, you can still expect quality food and service. Upon walking in you can tell frosty's has been around for a very long time with all of their retro decor still hanging on the walls. The staff were very friendly and attentive and took my order without delay. And the food lived up to the hype that everyone had been telling me about before coming in to eat. Long story short if you have the chance to check this place out you should.

this is a burger and shake place that has been around forever. nothing fancy, just good burgers and shakes. today I had the chicken sandwich and the peach shake. the chicken was very tender inside and you could tell they made it in house. the shake was smooth and cooled me off on a hot GA day

Always a decent ice cream stop, and the other food isn't bad either. I love the McDonald's/McDowell's reference with regard to Frosty's. DQ has the Blizzard, but Frosty's has the Hurricane ;-) You can pretty much recreate most of the DQ treats at Frosty's, which will nail that craving, but Frosty's has better quality food across the board, and offers brownie sundaes, and other options DQ doesn't have. Also, as a local family business, Frosty's takes pride in a cute atmosphere, and food quality above standard fast food. We've tried various ice cream treats, their burgers, fries, chicken, etc. Everything is always tasty, filling, and is of decent quality that doesn't make you sick like typical fast food. I took a star off because service can be hit or miss. A couple times there have been all teens on duty just horsing around and gossiping, and the speed and quality of service really suffered. Our most recent visit (Jan 2025) the staff were adults and we had no problem with service, so hopefully the issue-causing people left. They have dine-in for the restaurant, a deck with outdoor seating, and a drive-thru.

My husband and I went here while on vacation, and it was the perfect quick casual dinner on a cold evening. We had heard great things about it being a community and family friendly place and it's clear this place is loved! We had courteous service at the counter and ordered two burgers, fries and drinks. They made our cheeseburgers to order, and we didn't mind the wait because everything is hot and fresh. The crinkle fries were crispy and steaming hot, just the way they should be. I devoured my delicious burger in 3 minutes and probably should have ordered a second one because it was so good. Prices are very reasonable for the quality. The ambiance is kitschy and nostalgic (grew up in the 90s so I loved it). Bring your family and friends here!

Welcome to a time machine. This locally owned lunch-and-dinner spot has a beachy j1950s' feel. Food: we did a weekday worker special (double cheeseburger with fries), chili dogs, fries and fountain drinks. All very tasty and cooked fresh (with a bit of a wait but worth it). The burger was a neal in itself. We'll return next trip.

YUM! The line is long for a reason. Such a great milkshake. I wish I could have gotten a full meal because everything looked so good. Everyone was really kind behind the register too. Highly recommend in SSI!

As soon as we walked in , we were greeted by Nettie with the warmest spirit ! You can't find many people like her who works in restaurants nowadays and it's very important ! The food was fresh and my absolute favorite was the peach shake ! My family and I will be back on our next visit to SSI. Thanks for making my family feel welcome Nettie !

What a cute little spot! The adorable building looked like an old house or previous restaurant. While visiting the island, we stopped here for a quick shake. We loved them. They were rich and creamy. I saw they offered diner food and thought everything looked delicious coming out of the kitchen. There were a ton of teens hanging out there. It seemed so sweet, almost like we were in the middle of a Hallmark teen coming of age movie. So cute. The staff were young too. They were all very nice and helpful. The whole vibe was sweet and innocent. I will definitely return on my next visit to the island.

I've tried and tried and just can't any longer. I didn't like this place at all. My husband and son love the shakes and burgers. All I was hoping for was a chocolate and vanilla twist cone. Twist means, well, twist. It doesn't mean plop that crap on top of a cone and hand it off as if that's ok. This is every time. So, I've been patient and waited to have a miraculous turn-around. NOPE! This last visit was the end for all of us. 1) no chocolate. What?! 2) no marshmallows. Seriously?! 3) we only had one order left for them to let us down with and it happened at the window when we were completely ignored. Just sat and waited and nothing. This is the off-season! There is no excuse and I'll never be back. We will never be back. Bring back Dairy Queen to replace this sorry excuse.

Great diner with a throwback feel for sure! I ordered the Frosty deluxe cheese burger all the way with cheese fries to-go. I made sure to ask for the cheese sauce on the side so my fries stay nice and crispy. When I first walked in the front counter gentleman was on his phone so I had to let him know I was ready to order but he made it a simple and easy experience once I got his attention. I only had a 3 minute drive back to my airbnb and my burger was cold and the bun wasn't warm either but the taste overall for the burger was pretty good. The Frosty sauce is kind of like awesome sauce the front counter gentleman explained. The fries were your basic crinkle fry order and the white cheese sauce on the side was not bad. I would like to try the ice cream next time I visit! Definitely recommend this place for families the prices were not too bad here! Make this a stop on your travels!

Regular, old fashioned cheeseburgers are my favorite and are hard to come by in restaurants anymore. Frosty's has em though and they're GOOD. The bun is so soft and savory and the toppings were all fresh and crisp. The onion rings were delicious as was the ranch (I hate it when restaurants have bad ranch). My husband got a strawberry shake too and it was delicious. I will definitely be back soon and often. The lunch time special for 10 bucks is a great deal! Lastly, Peter was extremely friendly and welcoming.

If you're in such a hurry you can not wait they do cook this during that time so it's not a ready in a minute item. Even so it's fairly quick and always fresh hot and juicy This is a great location not far from the beach Sometimes I like to get a milkshake here as a treat Old fashion spin on a brazier walking distance to nearby the pier , beach, ballparks, pickle ball and a playground Enjoy locally owned fast food They've a shrimp salad Onion rings as Well as burgers too

Delicious but some of the most unfriendly drive thru service I have ever encountered. Unfortunate for a tourist island.

I ordered the Fungi Town burger red with french fries and my wife ordered the Greektown burger pink with fries and Poutine. We also caught the end of happy hour and ordered a draft hefe at half price $3 special and my wife ordered a glass of house wine for $3. Great deal. My Fungi town burger came out perfect and the bun was soft and it came with mushrooms and sauerkraut. It was very interesting, but I loved it. I got the special sauce on the side. It was so tasty and moist and I'd have to say it was remarkable. My wife liked her Greek town burger as well. The poutine was good and we discovered all the gravy at the bottom of the bowl, but after mixing it up, it was really good. I would definitely return. Don't let the $18 burger price scare you away. Especially if you hit it during happy hour you'll save on the drinks and the burgers are well worth it. Excellent burger.

The only thing, that absolutely shocked me, was they served pink lettuce in Caesar salad!! I took a picture, it was for sure more pink looking in person. I did not eat it. Cheese was clumpy. I ordered the fish burger and it honestly surprised me in the best way it was way better than I expected. My partner went with the regular burger and loved it too. I also have to mention the banana pudding because it was AMAZING. Easily the best I've had so far, and I'm not even exaggerating. The service really stood out as well. Our waitress went above and beyond to help me figure out what the veggie burger was made of and even looked into the company that makes it since I'm picky about veggie burgers. That level of care doesn't go unnoticed. We dined outside and although noisy from the traffic, it was nice. Overall, such a great experience. They really have something for everyone. Looking around for the Mexican restaurant that I used to go to, I found that it had been turned into Two Fat Guys over the years. Alright, I'll give that a go instead! Inside there are a couple of tall tables to eat at, and then a side area for normal table seating to eat at. The ordering system is counter service, and after I went through the menu I went with a standard cheeseburger and some fries along with a drink. The wait wasn't long, and I got my food and sat down. First, the fries... They were limp and not that great. Also, I asked for some hot sauce, only to find out they did not have any. Ketchup, mustard, salt, pepper... That's it for condiments, as I found out from the completely disinterested staff. The burger was alright... not outstanding, but also not bad. My recommendation? If you are hungry for a burger, sure, go for it... get it to go, because the ambiance and staff are certainly not going to be a positive light on your day. Skip the fries, they aren't worth it. Sadly, given this experience I fully expect to see a completely different place here within a couple of years, unless something changes drastically.
