Unfortunately I didn't have the pleasure of reading these reviews beforehand and went here to get a Shamrock Shake and Double Quarter Pound Cheeseburgers. I've had bad food, but never this bad. The meat in the burgers were burned, and tasted old and dry. Fries were oddly tasteless and soggy. The Shamrock Shake wasn't mixed well and had orange swirls near the bottom. First of all I didn't get my fries. My friend didn't get her sprite AND no me flurries. This was the start of my horrific experience. So I felt bad for the lady she was working alone so we didn't say anything about it after. So then I'm eating my mcchicken sandwich and dipping in my Buffalo sauce and I feel something really hard and white and it looked really disgusting in my Buffalo sauce. AN UNOPENED Buffalo sauce. It was a horrible McDonald's experience. The wait time was 20 minutes long at the drive thru. On top of the wait the cashier(Silence) was rude. I asked to speak with a manager (Kisha) her attitude was even worst. This location needs major help in the customer service,wait time and food quality department. I love this restaurant! This used to be my favorite restaurant but ever since Michael Wilson and Matthew Connell left a bit of my soul died, everyday I would bring my family of 7 to this fine dining restaurant I would be greeted by one of these two wonderful employees. They were my favorite chefs and the food they made was so good that you just had to eat it to believe it. The worst mcdonalds i have ever been to..my order has been wrong on several occasions..this last time it was actually right...however..my quarter pounder had no ketchup..one pickle and one tiny bit of onion...my southwest salad had no dressing..was thrown in a bag..lid was off..salad spilled out..half the ingredients were missing..all lettuce ...unbelievable! read more

I saw a commercial for the Shamrock Shake so I tell the wife I am going to run up and get one. She tells me not to go to this location because the machine is always down or some other excuse. I go anyway and happy to see the promo sign as I pull up. I place the order and they tell me they cannot serve it yet. I pull up to the window and ask when it will be available and the girl at the window says the machine is down. I say yes, but when will you have it so I can come get one? Response- ahhh, it should be a couple days (shrug). Last year I went to this location to get one in mid March and they had already sold through it ... but the signs were still up. This has been the worst McDonalds that I have ever been to for the last 8 years that I have been hear .... and I have been to a lot of them. The best thing about this place is that it's convenient and it's a place for the high schoolers to work. Order is often incomplete and friendliness is hit or miss. I do think that if there were better management, these student employees would benefit from it. read more

I recognize that fast food around this area is hit and miss. Especially when you enjoy UNsweet tea. But this McDonalds is exceptional at being the WORST managed fast food place in South Charlotte. I would estimate 70 to 80 percent of the time they have gotten our order wrong. You can sit at one drive through speaker with nobody attending while the other speaker passes through 2,3 even 4 cars (yes I once watched 4 cars get helped while i sat. I eventually just drove up. Once I ordered 3 unsweet ice teas. I got 2 unsweet and 1 sweet. HOPE DOES THAT HAPPEN? My only thought is they just don't care. Came inside once and it had a flood of water on the floor.... nobody even attempting to clean it. Shoes got soaked trying to get a drink. Don't expect quick service at the counter either. The kids who work there are mostly ok... so the only thing that could end up with a place operating this badly is the Mgt. I try to never go there but unfortunately I have boys and i can't say no forever. read more

We stopped today only due to the Halloween contest that began October 5th. This location had all signage up promoting this contest but not one item we purchased ($22) worth of drinks/food had a game piece. Although we only purchased this items advertised on the signage as part of the contest. When we inquired the worker simply said "we should be stating it later but I don't know when." Total BS to advertise you are participating and knowingly not do so. We will never be back. This location is dishonest. read more

The food is always wrong, we always order ranch and they tell us it's in the bag when it's not, they charge you even when they mess up your order, and no one is wearing a mask in the restaurant. Takeout choices are limited in the area so that's why we kept going back but they got our order wrong 95% of the time in the 7 years we went there. Horrible service. Last time I was here, two employees were outside smoking and cussing. One said she's been sick all day and felt like throwing up. It doesn't make you feel confident about the food. This time they gave us half the order. We don't move up here until after we check the order. We told them half was missing. The woman at the window accused us of taking things out even though she was watching the whole time. We asked for a manager. She didn't even listen to our issue. Horrible experience. Awful. The people working here are terrible at their jobs. They make you pull up and wait an extra 5-10 minutes about 40% of the time. They are rude and incompetent. Every Time I go to this location, I get the worst service. Every time I go through the drive-thru, something is wrong with my order! I am not even making complicated orders. Also, my food is never got, always Luke warm. It might me due to the fact they are not very busy. However, breakfast is served all day, which is a plus. read more

Asked for a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit and was told, "We are out of biscuits and have to make them. Is there anything else I could get you?" In a rude tone that told me they had no interest in making it. This was after she took my order wrong twice. I drove off. I just don't get it. Wrote corporate the first time, explaining everything that happened and not a soul contacted me (from the restaurant or from corporate) and now tonight's event. I mean its a greasy, fast food place so really you can't have super high expectations. But somehow this place manages to frequently underdeliver. I'd say 90% of the times I've been here the food is cold or stale tasting and the wait always seems to be so long at the drive through. McDonalds should never take 20+ minutes for simple food. Tons of people waiting for their food. It's supposed to be "fast food."

No line in drivethru but i waited almost a whole minute before being asked what i wanted. Then when i pull up to the first window the girl puts down her phone to get my money. She hands me the receipt and closes the window back immediately picking back up her phone. I told her thank u and she never even acknowledged me. Then i get home and my order is wrong. Its sad that the management is such a pushover and kids are in there with their phones out all the time. Waxhaw enjoyes having a mcdonalds so please step it up.
