Overall it's always a pretty solid MickyD's experience here and I can honestly say that most everything I order comes out better than expected. That's the thing with these franchises right, each location is run differently than the next depending upon how much attention each individual ownership applies itself to it. And this place obviously receives alot of attention. My recent visit here found me ordering a Sausage McMuffin with Egg meal that definitely hit the spot and the Freshly Brewed 100% Arabica Bean Coffee was exactly what I needed to help get me going. Service here couldn't have been any better plus they even threw in extra napkins and ketchup I asked for. Service was ok, and food was great. However, the restaurant was really dirty. The trash can was full, and the floor was filthy and sticky. The ladies' bathroom was a mess. Digital ordering panels, but missing the unsweet tea up front... only had the sweet tea (which was way too sweet for me), and some work around staff training, still. Located across from the Turtle Back Zoo We spotted this McDonalds while heading to the zoo and remembered it when we left. Not the easiest place to get to if you don't know the road setup, but we made it. Not the easiest place to leave and get heading back to the Garden State Parkway, but we made it. As for our visit, that went well. Our order taker was patient while we figured out what to order. Once we did order and got our food, everything was correct. Correct and good, my Quarter Pounder with Cheese tasted fine, just as I expected. The restaurant appeared to be clean and we settled in to enjoy our food. I wasn't overly impressed with the restaurant itself. As mentioned in other reviews, the parking and drive-thru setup is not the best. I think the lot is too narrow and they probably did the best they could with an older McDonalds without doing a teardown. read more

This is one of the worst McDonalds I have ever been to. Unfortunately it's close to my house so I've been there more than once. I can honestly say they NEVER get the order correct. The workers are distracted (on phones) and careless. The food is typical McDonalds but if you have any type of special request you're guaranteed to not get what you ordered. Don't want onions - you'll get them. Don't want ketchup you'll get ketchup and no mustard. They always mess it up and it's not like the requests are out of this world for a burger place. read more

I ordered the deluxe chicken sandwich meal. The fries were undercooked and soggy, the bun of my sandwich was burnt to a crisp, I asked for bacon, they applied three bacon charges to my burger and gave me three half pieces of bacon, Litterally all three pieces fit on my sandwich without touching eachother, and the tomato was four end pieces of a tomatoe instead of a single slice of normal sized tomato. This place has rude workers, extremely poor work ethic, and they rush the food because they can't be bothered to spend their precious time making simple food, and push it out half assed. Disclaimer: I have been to this location 5 times. Four out of five times my fries were soggy and needed to be heated up in my air fryer, and the other time I got breakfast, and it was the soggiest, most poorly made McGriddle I've ever eaten. And the cheese was only halfway on. Repeat offense review, avoid this location at all costs, there is another on nearby that deserves your buisiness. This used to be my favorite place to stop and get a quick iced coffee, but it seems like every time I come here now there is a line. It seems to be something in house that goes wrong because there is a delay with the line at a stand still for no reason. If I'm in a hurry, I don't bother coming to this location anymore. So they tore this location down and built a brand new building! To me the new layout is weird and the seating very uncomfortable! The parking lot is still awful! It's really just too narrow for all that's going on! Getting the car in and out can be harrowing! I've been to this branch enough times to comment on a few things. This location is ridiculously busy around lunch, almost as if all of West Orange goes here to eat (obviously an exaggeration, but you get the point). Being located near the Turtle Zoo doesn't help either. To keep it short, this branch is inconsistent. There are days when the drink stations are out of ice *and* drinks, and there are days when the dining area is a complete mess. Most of the staff are alright, but I do get annoyed when some of the cashiers become easily distracted and literally ignore you even while you're saying your order. I rarely order from McDonald's nowadays, but for the most part, I have never had an issue with the food. Just remember to check your order to make sure everything is all there. read more

I frequent the drive-thru. Quite often, even after only ordering my first item, the order taker is teling me my total and telling me to drive forward. It gets old when you order 4-5 items and after each item they say the same thing. CAN I JUST FINISH MY ORDER!!! At least a B.K. they ask, "will that complete your order". The service is consistently less than desired. They almost always forget to put the BBQ sauce in the bag. Definitely check your order no matter how rushed they seem. The only good thing about this place is that it has drive thru. I usually go through the drive but yesterday we decided to eat inside the place. After seeing this place, I would never order drive thru again. It's very outdated, unclean - floors sticky, chairs and tables greasy. The play area is closed and unclean, why do you have one if not in use? Customer service is horrible, they're so unfriendly! I ordered 10pcs McNuggets and my son had them too with his happy meal. My fries were cold and there was a hair in my McNuggets box. We are from it, my two sons and I currently have a stomach bug thanks to their very unsanitary food management.
