So... I chose to do a social experiment. Vons is in the same shopping center as MC Donald's. I live roughly 5-7 minutes give or take from that shopping center. I told my son to go to Vons and I'd go to MC D's to see who will have the burgers on the table first. Both parked. We exited on the count of 3. Both went into the establishments with the same goals, burgers at kitchen table. It took a significant amount of time to order my food. I ordered a few Mc Doubles w/ no onions. Meanwhile... My son goes to the freezers where the meat patties are and picks up some 1/4 pound patties and buns. Waits in the checkout. I wait for my food. My son, already in the driveway. I checked in on my son 7 minutes later, he has just laid the first patty down. I am now rounding the 15 minute mark, sons got 2 down. 25 minutes later, (40 minute adventure), I am headed home. (To put it into retrospect, it takes 38-45 minutes from Yucaipa to Chino/Pomona/Ontario) Needless to say he had won. Moral of the story... it's faster, and cheaper, to go into the store buy it and cook, than it is to get THIS MC D's "fast" food. read more

I've been here a few times, and honestly today will be my last time here. I would save my time and go to another location. If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with their manager, Michelle, was the worst customer I have ever had on March 13th, 2026. Not only did all 6 employees ignore the lobby customers, when I attempted to get the attention of someone, I got smirks and attitude. There was an older lady waiting longer than us looking confused and wanting someone to help her place her order. One girl did stop by, not to take our order, but to insist we use the kiosk. And there stood Michelle. Knowing people were waiting. She yelled over her shoulder that they were busy and we'd have to wait as the drive thru was clearly more important than the people who took the time to walk in for dinner. I asked to speak to the manager. Low and behold, the same rude employee, that didnt give anyone in the lobby the time of day, barged over to the front counter. She has no interpersonal skills to speak of and a chip on her shoulder the size of the golden arch. I asked her name, she spat it at me, then turned around and went to the back again. Continuing to ignore everyone standing in the lobby. If this is the type of employees they hire, they can keep their food and crappy service. I waited for over 20 minutes out the wrong order and then when they finally brought out my order after close to 25-30 minutes, they didn't bring out the whole order after I went to complain. This location is always hit or miss for food quality and they're consistently slow, but today's experience was so bad that I couldn't keep quiet. The staff were VERY rude, charged me for an upgrade that I didn't order, violated HIPPA by volunteering their employee's medical information to excuse the poor behavior (behavior from a person that they said they've received complaints about before), and in addition to the upcharge, they didn't even have the product they upcharged me for. The blonde manager is super rude and doesn't care if you were just through the drive-thru, she will refuse to give you missing items. It's extremely overpriced and the employees are clearly over worked. This place needs new management and to review orders before giving them out. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment‍. We have a lot of work going on today at the house, grandkids are over, and we needed a quick lunch. Sent my boys to grab some Mc'y D's. WTF was I thinking?! Also, we all wanted that Hi-C Orange Lavaburst we had been told is back in their new commercial, so I had one of my boys actually call and ask if it was being served at this location. They said that it was and my boys took off to go grab us some pigeon food. Within 10 minutes of that call, sitting in the drive thru, they were told that they had run out of Hi-C Orange! The order: (2) Spicy chicken sandwich combos with cokes (1) 40 piece McNugget (3) McDoubles (1) Large fries (2) Large Cokes Ordered all the cokes with no ice. After being served the food, my son pulled ahead in the drive thru without checking the bags! Yup...screwed the order up. Instead of (2) spicy chicken sandwiches, they had (2) Quarter Pounders in the bag. Had to park and go the door, which was locked, and no one would come assist them immediately as they should have. Curious...WTF isn't McDonald's open for dine in yet anyways? Quality: Nuggets - tasted as if they were halfway cooked early this morning and left under the heat lamp for entire first half of day. I don't know if that was the case. They were chewy and rubbery, no crunch on the skin. See pic below showing what happened when I took a bite. We did not let the grandkids eat theirs. Fricking disgusting! Fries - just like the nuggets. Cold, stale, chewy. Tasted as if they had been sitting out for a couple days. Not even salted! McDoubles - not too bad, not too great. I don't understand the rationing on toppings. Looked like the ketchup & mustard were applied with a damn eye dropper. Two of burgers didn't even have pickles on them! Cheese was not melted and they were pretty dry. Chicken sandwiches - I didn't hear any complaints from my wife and son about their sandwiches. They are the only ones who actually got to eat. The only positive I heard about them was that "they would make a turd!" Coke - One thing I've always given McDonalds credit for is having good Coke. Carbonation water/syrup mix is usually on point and very carbonated. Today, it was like drinking bath water mixed with coke syrup. FLAT! I get it. McDonalds is McDonalds. We all know by now not to expect much from them by now, but at the very least, they could serve the food fresh and made to order. It makes a huge difference. Honestly, I wish this location would just go away. I haven't had a good experience here since they opened it. That's a long time. If you live in Yucaipa, I advise the trip to the Calimesa location over this one. I expressed to the employees that I would pay extra for the pickles, that wasn't an issue. They seemed to understand the order when we were in the drive thru, the lady taking our order told me there would be no extra charge.
