This Mexican bread store is a hole in the wall. It's a hidden gem! The owner is very professional and nice. He is an excellent baker! Hands down this the best Rosca de Reyes aka king bread I have had in the USA. The bread is not over sweetened, buttery and soft. This is my third time visiting this bread shop. I highly recommend this business!

The nicest people run this tiny bakery and they produce the most delicious pan dulce. Their conchitas are perfect size, soft and pillowy and most of all consistent. Even two days later they were still the perfect bite alongside a cup of coffee. We drive half an hour to buy their treats by the bag full. It's a small storefront in a strip mall with plenty of parking. If you're in driving distance of this shop, stop by and grab something spectacular.

The conchas here are so good I had to update the review to ask why you haven't shown up yet to get yours? I have brought their conchitas to numerous gatherings, and everyone says the same thing: "WHERE DID YOU GET THESE?" You've got to figure out when their next batch comes out and buy one fresh out of the oven. They melt in your mouth. They use real ingredients and take their time here... and it shows! Bring cash, and you'll leave happy. I promise. read more

Bread is good, downside is that the guy opens up once every two weeks. He will leave a sign that he will be open a certain day and then he dont even be open, just has me wasting my gas. Sucks that this is the only place around for good pan dulce. read more

Yup! Absolutely bona fide 5 star experience. I picked up several cookies, not knowing what they were, and they were amazingly delicious. Next, grabbed a few elephant ears and they too were marvelous. The best Mexican sweet I've ever had. I've tried many bakeries in the inland empire and nothing comes close to this. Hidden gem in Yucaipa. If I'm not mistaken, this is a father and son operation. Both gentlemen are very nice and friendly. My only complaints is that the bakery itself needs a little TLC and they ONLY take CASH. Support local business. Also note that they do not offer a whole lot of options when it comes to mexican bread. Not a deal breaker for me because what they do offer is excellent. read more

I have found the best panadería, hands down. CASH ONLY. Drove to yucaipa and came across La Yaquesita Bakery. I am not one to write reviews but this panadería needs more attention--definitely my top panadería. The conchitas are so soft! They have chocolate and the yellow ones. Favorite one was the chocolate. The bolillo is so good, too! I loved that they have that powdery stuff like a birrote does. This bakery has the best conchitas EVER!!! They run out fast though so I usually call ahead to see if they have them. When they are fresh out of the oven they practically melt in your mouth. These are 1,000x's better than any you've ever had in the grocery store. The owner and his son are super nice. They say they only use high quality ingredients and it shows!! Please keep making your conchitas!! Our family comes here about once a month, sometimes more. Oh one thing to note - they only take cash, so come prepared. You can go to the drug store next door and buy something and get cash back if need be :) read more

Best conchitas in the whole world! I have been buying the mini conchitas from this man for many years. He used to have a different establishment in Colton but had an emergency and had to move to Yucaipa. This is a one man shop, a hole in the wall but soooooo worth the drive out. I would recommend to call before you go to ask when the conchitas will be fresh. The mini conchitas are my favorite! read more

oh my god!! unbelievable mexican bakery off the beaten path. no seating, a couple of chairs to sit. older man clearly the baker behind the register. speaks primarily spanish but very kind. all of the baked goods are on trays for you to pick. you get a tray and tongs to pick what you want. i regret not taking a photo. i was so excited seeing all the breads savory and sweet. we ended up with two big bags of sweets and breads and only $10.00!!! you gotta go. you really gotta go!! read more

This is my new favorite bakery! They make jalapeño cream cheese rolls which prior to this we had to drive to Azusa to get them. I stopped in this morning to pick some up and they were still warm. Put that together with a great cup of coffee and only a few miles from home, what more could you ask for!? They observed the COVID-19 rules and the gentleman working the front (sorry I didn't get his name) was very nice and helpful! Please make sure to stop in and support this great bakery! read more

So we took a chance and went here, never having seen it before. It's not much to look at (small shop, not fixed up) but the bread was great! I especially like the Banderias (spelling?), which are the long thin sweet breads, great w coffee. The orejas (which look kind of like hearts) are also great w coffee. More on the savory side was the Bolillo with cream cheese - also very good. Their hours aren't listed on Yelp but the flyer they gave us says seven days a week from 6 am to 9 pm, which is very late. 10 out of 10 will go back again. read more

This is a family owned business and the owner who is the baker is the sweetest man ever. He always treats people with such kindness and respect. The conchitas (small conchas) and birotes are the best ones I've had here in California, they are so delicious, that's what I buy when I go visit my daughter in Yucaipa. They are so good that my nephew that visited us from Utah and tasted the conchitas, always ask his mom to take him some when they go visit him. It's a small bakery, not luxurious or cute place, but you don't need that if you get the best customer service and delicious bread. read more

I'm a huge fan of French pastries, and this bakery has quickly become my favorite spot. The croissants were perfectly flaky, and the macarons were heavenly. During the several hours there, I got to overhear exchanges between customers and staff. The morning shift boys were young, but friendly. Let me tell you, once the day shift crew came on, the energy shifted. Andy, I HIGHLY recommend you replace the tall, thin guy with the glasses. The whole time he was there, he acted as if he didn't want to be there. He was rude, stand offish, and completely disregarded customers. As soon as he BLATANTLY ignored a female customer who was trying to have a conversation with him but gave attention to her male counterpart, I was over it. Listen, I get it, he might have not wanted to entertain someone's story. But customer service means to acknowledge the customer and treat them with respect. I can't even count the amount of times I've divulged in conversation with people I didn't want to, but I still treated them like a human. The woman was visibility upset about how off putting he was. I packed my things, went over to the woman and told her feelings were valid because he had been dismissive towards others ever since he came in. I know you're not going to care about my review, I know you're not going to lose much money if I never come back. But people need to aware what kind of employees are here. As for the food and coffee - The ingredients no longer taste fresh on the breakfast pizza. It tastes cheap and rushed. The iced vanilla latte I had was mid at best, I forced myself to finish it. Which is disappointing because I have loved both for years. I think the young boys need some better training on how to make coffee, but at least they were personable. The young guy with long curly hair - keep up that positive energy. You're gonna go somewhere. Highly recommend bringing Quay back full time, maybe make him a manager or part owner because every time I've been there and he's makes the pizzas, everything is He's a staple, and is clearly loved by all the customers who were happy to see him when he walked in. Also, maybe put the birch back on the empty corner wall, looks like someone ripped it off and it looks bad.
