We checked out William's Donut during their late night special (8 PM-2 AM), and by the time we got there around 10 PM, they were almost completely sold out, which honestly says a lot about how popular they are. No way they were making it to 2 AM, so good for them! We grabbed a dozen assorted donuts for $30.23. The donuts themselves were light, fluffy, and definitely better than your average donut shop, no complaints there at all. You can tell they're made fresh and with care. That said, the toppings were a bit too sweet for me and my kids. Unfortunately, they only made it about halfway through their chosen donut before they were done, which never happens in this house. We have a little Saturday morning tradition where my husband picks up donuts before the kids wake up, and while we would love to have a go to spot closer to home like this, the price point just felt a little high for what we got compared to our regular spot. So yes the donuts are good and service is always great, but their prices are deceitful. On the board it has half a dozen $7, well I walked out paying $11 for half a dozen. I asked for clarification and apparently plain twist donuts or chocolate glaze counts as "speciality donuts" (see picture) and the $7 price is for regular glaze. It's a rip off to be paying $11 for 6 donuts that's almost $2 per donut! I won't be back again, I'll go a few exits up to my favorite donut shop! read more

I've been coming here for a few days now. I love their breakfast bagel. I always get a Thai boba tea as well. The Thai tea tastes more like a vanilla milkshake but it's delicious nonetheless. If you had asked me a year ago I would have sang the praises of Williams Donuts, but now I wouldn't recommend them. They used to have a great selection and if you wanted a cream filled donut they filled it when you ordered so you could get more or less filling. It was by far the best donut ever!! But... lately my experiences have been getting worse every time I go. What's happened? The selection is very disappointing and the last couple of times there's no cream to get cream filling... one trip I got home to find absolutely no filling in the filled donuts!! Instead of an apology I was asked if I was sure, so I took the donuts back to show them. Still no apology but was told it was because the machine wasn't working, so tell me that before I get home disappointed. After several years of talking my grand babies for a pink sprinkle (which now they're almost never have) I'm no longer going to be going back. Maybe I'll eventually try them again but not anytime in the near future read more

The selection was wide, varied, fun and quirky and the donuts taste and quality-wise are somewhere between Dunkin' Donuts and Krispy Kreme, but the customer service was absolutely OUTSTANDING!!! Well, so long dunkin & krispy... When I'm craving a donut I'll drive over to William's. This was the absolute MOST AMAZING donut I've ever eaten on the Southside of Atlanta. Very fresh. Soft. Not doughy. Very flavorful. Not super syrupy sweet. Just right. The size of the donuts appear just a tad bit bigger than DD. The owners are very nice, warm-spirited people. This place is a welcome surprise. I popped in on a Sunday morning, and ordered a variety of items to sample. The jalapeno kolache was devine. The bread was so delicate and soft it melted in your mouth. Also ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant that was delicious and much better than any fast food breakfast item you've ever purchased. Glazed donut was great. Not as light as KK, and not as dry and heavy as DD's. The donut bread is dense, but light. You could tell they were extremely fresh. The glaze is very sweet, but suits the cake. Its also a much thicker glaze than KK. And last, I bought a Maple Bacon donut. It was good, but I found I didn't like the crunchy crispy bacon texture on a donut, but the taste was good. Next time, I'll try the Maple donut without the bacon. My only concern is the fact that cooked meat products are being staged in a non refrigerated area. The Kolaches and the Bacon donuts are held in an unrefrigerated donut case. I was told (because I did ask) that the meat was cooked fresh that morning. They were only a couple of hours past their cooked time when I made my purchase, but what about the ones bought after lunch? It's too hot in the South for cooked meat to sit out for very long without the possibility of sickness. Owner needs to seriously rethink this. But despite the meat issue, I will definitely be visiting this donut shop again! read more
