Some of the work they did was complex and well executed, but another area cracked in pretty short order. I asked them to come back and take a look - they had rebuilt our front steps and said they would pin it to the house and install piers. When they separated and cracked off the house soon after the job was complete, they told me they didn't use piers and I don't think pinning it to the house was even a thing. We had to pay a foundation specialist $1K to install a set of piers so I asked Dan for that amount of money back. He ghosted me. The steps are still sinking and we can't afford to have them rebuilt again. Don't use this company. read more

He sends Jeremy who insulted me and my husband in my home claiming I just needed to enjoy my new patio. I told him I needed the concrete fix and they insisted on only sealing it. Stay away... Requested an estimate for a backyard sidewalk. The grandson of the owner came out, looked very unprofessional to be interacting with customers. Took measurements and said he would email me the estimate by that evening. I received no estimate, texted the office admin? the next day and she said it would 9am before the grandson would drop off the measurements. Waited all day for an email, it never came. Text the office admin that evening and never got a response back. 3rd day I've called with no response, so it looks like they care very little about their reputation or customers and from the reviews I've seen I'm glad I won't be a customer of this poorly run business. This is a very poor way to represent the town of Argyle as a small business owner. IMO, you would be smart to steer clear of this business. read more

Visited to survey for an estimate, then quit responding: We were in need of some patches/repairs to the exterior bricks of our house. Small things like mortar separation, cracked bricks, and missing caulk. After contacting McFall via their website I received a text message asking to set up a visit in order to provide an estimate. After rescheduling once (their request) a gentleman showed up and walked around the house taking notes and photos for the estimate. He said to expect a response in a few days...no one ever came back with an estimate. I followed up with the number which text me to set up the visit but I never received a response. I sure I wish I had read the reviews on this company. The small porch staining project quickly began to show discoloration and Dan came out and said he would send a guy out to correct the problem. Their website says "big or small, we do it all". So, this past March I submitted a request to have our stamped concrete patio re-sealed. I also needed some minor masonry repairs done. A couple of weeks later they sent out a young man named Daniel who looked at the job and told us he would get back to us with a bid. Later that week he came back out to tell us that the job was too small and McFall Masonry referred these smaller jobs to its sister company named Keystone Construction. Daniel said that McFall stood behind Keystone's work. He said Keystone could do the job now and he gave me a bid. I agreed to have the work done by Keystone since McFall was referring me to them and surely knew the quality of their work. The job was scheduled for the following Saturday. When Saturday arrived, Daniel and his crew were 40 minutes late and I became concerned. I began to question if they were scamming customers from McFall. My instincts told me something wasn't right so, I messaged Daniel and told him to cancel. He came anyhow and when he arrived another man came to our door. He insisted I give them a chance since they had already purchased the materials. He assured me they would do a quality job that I would be satisfied with. I asked if they were scamming jobs from McFall and they both vehemently denied this. I told them I would follow up with McFall to make sure and they were ok with this. I also was concerned that the temperature that morning (in the 50s) was not optimal for re-sealing the concrete and that rain was predicted for Monday evening. The man with Daniel assured us the concrete only needed 48 hours to dry so we had plenty of time. And since it was supposed to be sunny for the next 3 days, the temp would not cause any problems. Although I was reluctant to trust them, I felt badly because they had already purchased the materials so, I decided to trust them and let them do the job. BIG MISTAKE! I later learned that the man with Daniel was his father and he owned Keystone Construction, but I could not find their website or any company information after doing a search. My fault for trusting them. Daniel's dad worked on the patio while Daniel did the masonry repairs. After the masonry repairs were finished, Daniel applied the sealant to the patio while his dad watched. When they finished I wrote them a check for $1400. For the next 2 1/2 days I monitored the patio to make sure it was drying ok before the weather changed. On Monday morning I noticed white spots on the concrete and later that day more of these began to appear. The patio had remained under dry conditions and it had been more than 48 hours, so the sealant should have dried. A few days later I noticed more white spots all over the patio and I wasn't sure what was causing this. I contacted Daniel and he came back that Saturday to inspect it. He said he would remove the sealant on these spots and reseal them because the sealant probably had not adhered. He agreed to do this on the following Saturday. Later that week he called to reschedule because rain was predicted. He said he would set up another appointment after the weather cleared. I did not hear back from Daniel for another week so I texted him and told him the spots now covered most of the patio. I insisted that he honor his guarantee and repair the work. He said he would come by one evening that week to inspect the patio again. On Thursday 4/14/22 Daniel's father showed up to inspect the patio. He believed the spots were caused by hard water and the sealant was good. I disagreed with him. I knew this couldn't be true because the white spots appeared long before any water ever touched the patio and now the patio is almost solid white. I was very dissatisfied with the work done by Keystone Construction and they refused to fix the problem. I contacted McFall Masonry since it was their sister company and they had referred me to them. Why? I'm not sure because McFall's website says no job is too small. McFall didn't seem concerned that they were scamming jobs from him and he didn't offer to do anything to help me despite the fact that it was his employee that came to my home to give a bid for the job. Daniel still works for McFall Masonry, so he's likely scamming more people. Needless to say, I now have to spend about $3000 to have the patio resurfaced because of their poor workmanship and disregard for quality. I won't be referring anyone to McFall Masonry and definitely not to Keystone Construction. Beware of the fraudulent activity going on with these two companies. read more

The owner never showed up and when I contacted the office about why they just cost me an hour of lost wages, she text back that the owner was too busy for an estimate "and the people who have put money in our hands dammed attention over those who have not". RUN WHILE YOU CAN! Due to them not being licensed, bonded, or insured, and also not on BBB, there's literally nothing that can hold them accountable when they take your money and use the money on other projects. DON'T give them more than half until completion or a 3 week project will result in 6 month headache that results in the threat going to court. My project consisted of concrete, woodwork, masonry, and interior work and I have pictures of what their work really looks like. After texting me, Dan showed up a day early with his team and they were ready to go. I needed a ramp poured from the side of my driveway down an incline, then a turn toward a fence gate. They told me the best way to do it, and I agreed. Finished product looks great, the pour is consistent and the walls are true. They brushed it slightly so it wouldn't be slippery in the rain. The guys were respectful and quiet and they cleaned up at completion. A solid project for a fair price. I'll do business with McFalls again! read more

McFall Masonry just completed a wonderful job for us, transforming our front yard from bland to beautiful. They built Austin stone tree wells around our trees, built a retaining wall, and then replaced the front yard grass with river rock. In addition, they repaired several cement cracks around our home. Dan's communication was great and he was able to begin the work very quickly. His crew and his crew chief Eddie were outstanding. They showed up on time everyday, communicated effectively with us throughout the project, and cleaned up each day. We had used Dan's services when we first built our home in 2001 and were so pleased to be able to work with him again. We would highly recommend him and his team as their work is amazing. read more

If I could go 0 stars, it would be done. We brought McFall Masonry in to bid the rip out and replacement of our front sidewalk with a mini pebble aggregate slab (approx. 25' x 4'). The price came in around the middle of the pack on the bids we received, and since the neighborhood had used them for years for annual brick wall maintenance, we felt we'd be in good hands. The bid was left with us on 5/17/16, we initiated it 5/25/16, and work didn't start until 6/21/16. Although I understood weather played a role, I felt the delay and lack of communication was excessive and unprofessional. On 6/7/2016, I had the owner, Dan McFall, come out with his lead project manager to look at a few bathrooms we wanted remodeled. While we were waiting an extra 20 mins for his PM to arrive, I took Dan next door to show him our neighbor's sidewalk that had been done in hand seeded, mini-pebble aggregate, in order to make sure he understood what our finished product needed to look like. Once work began, the guys who were onsite were excessively loud, cussed, smoked, flung concrete on to the house, and even classed up the joint and went shirtless. Once cut out, the old slab was put on the street in front of our house, rebar hanging out and all, with no signage or warning cones for safety, and left for several days before being picked up, only after I pushed for it. The crew let me know that while they were cutting the concrete, they cut my hose. No big deal, since they said they'd replace it. They ended up bringing a 'no kink' equivalent, stating it was the replacement, only to take it back upon job completion. They ended up leaving a 50', $9.99 special, to replace a 75', $50 'never kink' hose. When I brought that to their attention, they said the guys didn't cut mine (see pics - obvious cut), but rather, the hose exploded. After a back and forth, they ended up pulling the $9.99 special in favor of a slightly better, but still cheap, 50' hose. Prior to the slab being poured, I spoke with the project manager and the lead guy on the crew to reinforce the finished product we desired. Like I did with the owner Dan, I showed them our neighbor's mini-pebble slab. They both told me that if the concrete they ordered didn't meet that expectation, they wouldn't pour. Later that day, I came home to find they had poured, and the final product ended up being a very inconsistent pour. Some areas had a lot of rock, some very little, and some, none! An acid wash didn't help matters. The crew said they were going to seal the slab, something we had not discussed, but something I felt they wanted to do to try and improve what already looked like a sloppy job. When the seal was finally put on, you could see that sand was mixed in to provide a grit, only, the sand wasn't evenly dispersed and sealed, the sand was thrown down in globs and sealed over (see pics). This made the slab look exponentially worse. I immediately sent pics and contacted Dan, who said he had seen it, and thought it looked good. He agreed to come out and look at it with me, and upon coming out, both denied seeing my neighbor's pad, and admitted his guys did an 'average' job. When you're spending thousands, and the slab is smack dab right in front of your house, an average job isn't ideal. We agreed Dan would return the next day and work on fixing it. He later texted me and told me he wanted to wait a week to let it cure. About a week later, with no response to any of my messages requesting his onsite day to return, I told him that we needed to either fix it, refund me, or do nothing and I'd fix it myself and pursue reimbursement through the BBB. The business has not responded. Come to find out reading BBB reviews and others on various sites, this is common practice. Average work that if not received well, is left in place, with no resolution. In fact, the McFall website goes out of its way to combat the internet and negative (honest) reviews, claiming that it's unfair that people can put anything they want online. Well, if it wasn't for that right, the McFall business wouldn't have the chance to put up on its website, the smoke and mirrors I've read. Since this, I've been in contact with our HOA on this contractor and was told there was negative feedback from many in the neighborhood on the work of this contractor. The HOA has told me that It doesn't look like McFall will be welcomed back into our neighborhood. What was an easy resolution has now turned into two unhappy clients and a good amount of lost business via new projects and referrals. read more

His crew came out to start the stain/seal of my deck. Looks great except 1 section - totally different color than the rest. Can't get him to fix it! Contracted Dan back in February. June 7 I was told they would be there to do the patio and to put the check under the doormat (which I did). I got home and they were there but decided couldn't start because of the rain. After they left I looked under the doormat and the check was gone. The next day they came back ... the check had already been cashed. The patio looked great EXCEPT for the red spot (the rest was light brown). I contacted Dan and they came back to redo it and now it is ORANGE!!!! After repeatedly trying to get them back out to correct it, he said, "I told you we would take care of it, even if we take it out and start over." That was on June 12th. I have called, I have texted him and Tina daily to get them back out to correct the area. No answer at all!!!! But they cashed my check June 8th!!!! I just want my deck to be right. I didn't ask for a red/orange spot. It stands out like a sore thumb. I want a refund and I want the ORANGE spot of the deck taken out and redone. I told him we were having graduation and family in and asked him to please see if he could get us on the books. NOTHING. In the beginning I was okay with them just repairing the damage as Dan stated, but due to me having to take time off of work to file a claim with my bank and to make this report, this has been a hassle and bad business ... I am also requesting a refund. I will more than likely have to reach out to another company to repair this damage. read more

I had the same issues that other reviewers stated. I would not recommend this business to anyone. The cut a wire in our sprinkler system, causing an entire zone to quit working. We contacted them about this and they did make the sprinkler system work but they tied it into another zone. So, we now have 3 instead of 4 zones. Also, the patio cover leaks even after bringing this to their attention. The sealer on the stamped and stained concrete tried with bubbles. They came to fix that but is dried a second time with more bubbles. We have concrete splattered all over our door and brick. They workers used our gas grill as a charcoal grill, which I don't mind, you are allowed to eat...but clean it after you use it! My grill is not a ashtray for you cigarettes!! read more
