Horrible food that is very expensive! And the inside is nasty - floors and tables all need a make-over. Dirty and dingy at best. As for the food, I had a burger. Way overcooked, the bun was stale, the onion rings that were on top must have been left over from lunch, and the blue cheese that was on top of the burger must have been salad dressing. Disgusting burger!!! My wife had a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. You won't believe this (coz I couldn't either!!) but the cheese had to be that disgusting Cheese Whiz - out of a can!! And to top it off, a Bud Light 16 oz draft (with 3-4 inches of foam on top) cost $3.75. There isn't a bar or restaurant in St Mary's or Kingsland that charges that much for a small draft. I paid $68 (with taxes and tip) for a burger, a sandwich and 3 drafts!! NEVER AGAIN - and I'm a local. Too many restaurants here with much better food that's much less expensive!!! read more

We have been here a bunch of times in the last few months and so far this is one of our fav places in town. The craic chips are seriously to die for. We can't share them anymore and need individual apps each now. We've tried countless things on the menu so far and haven't had one bad thing yet. The servers have always been attentive and very nice every time. Food comes out quite quick as well. The music they play has always been on point. We are singing along while waiting for food and eating all the time. This is probably our number one place in all of Saint Marys. Was going to eat down by the water in St Mary's and walked by a few places and nothing seemed to be screaming "eat here". So I got on yelp and decided this place sounded good. In a shopping center (corner) and decent crowd on a Tuesday. Bingo going on. Asked Charles (bartender) what he recommended and he said wings, couple of the sandwiches, Irish spaghetti (no clue), shepherds pie, fish and chips. I got the fish and chips. The Parmesan fries Fabulous!!!! The fish crispy and tasty and great. Wasn't going to eat the cold slaw but took a bite and it was great. Very filling meal. Nice bartender. A complete surprise...:found this on Yelp and another OMG experience! I can not recall the last time I have had chicken sliders that were so good! I gave them 3 stars because I made the mistake of ordering tacos at Irish Pub.... never order tacos at a Irish Pub....I saw the tacos someone else ordered on Yelp and thought damn that's looks great for a Irish Pub. What I got was well cooked cubed chicken tenders on a flour tortilla with zesty spicy ranch sauce.. iceberg lettuce and tomatoes with a side of salsa and chips. I could only choose one type of taco. The gauc was 50 cent extra however is was very very small amount. The food was meh .. I do want to try the corn beef if I go back..the service was decent as well... If they were kinder and at least made eye contact, I'd be more willing to stay for dessert or even add an appetizer. Customers don't want to stay longer or invest their time in a business/restaurant when their experience is lessened by sour waiters and hostesses that ignore guests when they come in or provide a less than magical experience with condescending stares and act as if they're better than their guests. Hubby and I had a wonderful experience at McGarvey's last night for St. Patrick's Day. We decided at the last minute to do this because we weren't sure if we wanted to go out in the crowds on St. Patrick's Day, but oh my goodness we are so happy we did! There was a live band which wa very good. The atmosphere was lively, loud and typical Saint Patrick's all in green. Our service was friendly and efficient and we couldn't have had more fun. We shared their shepherds pie which was absolutely amazing! Plan to go back during our visit here from out of state and we will look forward to doing that. Visited Wee Pub South to try their new menu items. Ordered the mussels and...omfg. The sauce was velvety and bursting with flavor...not too salty. Umami from the tender pork balanced it, the earthiness from the potato grounded it AND the cilantro gave it ascending characteristics. I definitely had an experience and would pay more! read more

I'll start with the service, which was fabulous! We came as a group of 4. Our waitress was so nice and had great timing. Drinks always filled. For food: one friend got some kind of wrap and fries. Absolutely loved it! Fries were crispy and flavorful, and the wrap was very full! Another friend got corn beef and cabbage, it came with toast. It was amazing! I got the ahi tuna. Oh my gosh! Tried this place because of Yelp, when I typed in Fish and Chips. We had traveled to St. Mary's and after a 10 hour drive we were hungry. Phoned the order in as a carry out and specifically asked for tarter sauce and malt vinegar...from the picture you can see we got neither, no forks, and no napkins. Was planning on going back, because I was excited to see some of the other items on the menu. The fried fish was super greasy, i mean beyond what is expected from fried fish. The "parmesan chips".....aka salty, greasy french fries and not sure where the parmesan was. I have no idea how this place has 4 stars unless it was from a long time ago. Do yourself a favor and just go through the drive through of a fast food chain and get a fish sandwich with fries, it will at least have tarter sauce. read more

This has been our favorite bar/pub/restaurant/hang out for the past ten years. We have regaled its excellent food, good service, and friendly atmosphere from Georgia to Maine and compared all other pubs to it. 2020 has seen a drastic change from the best to something else. The food, as always is excellent. It is probably the best it has ever been but that is the only high mark. Service has slipped to an all time low and computational skills are abysmal. My wife and I have been there several times in the past couple of months, generally with friends, but sometimes by ourselves. Each time we pass the threshold we tell ourselves that things will get better but they haven't. Our last two outings to the Wee Pub were especially trying. We were not waited on for over six minutes even though the bartender was within ten feet of us. A simple nod or a short "I'll be right with you" would have been nice but chatting with the customer in the next seat or walking by and saying nothing is unacceptable. The bar was not busy as most are not since Covid has been on the scene. Eventually we were served and we told ourselves we would never go there again. That was not to happen since some friends wanted to meet us there for food and drinks. We obliged. When the bill came, it was incorrect. We imbibed during "happy hour" when the drinks are offered at 2 for 1, translated to: buy the first drink and the second drink is on the house. It is a great idea but when the bill came, the drink portion of the bill was $82 (charges for all drinks) and the credit for the "free drink" was only $27. When I brought it to the waitresses attention she redid the bill and the credit was $33, still short of the $41 it should have been. I asked to speak to the manager but was told that he was not available and another waitress came over and told me that she would call the police if we did not pay the bill we were presented. I told her to call them because I was not going to pay a padded bill. She came back with the managers phone number and he and I came to an agreement at which time the bill was promptly paid. I will never go back until they learn basic math. The food gets 5*, service gets 2* and customer relations gets zero * which is the reason for the 2* rating, an average of the three categories above. read more

Went to this spot to enjoy a night out since I was in St. Mary's for training. It was a shot in the dark...not knowing anything about any of the places, I picked this spot and went with it. ..it wasn't a bad choice. There were a few things I do want to mention. So there's 3 sides..2 of which are inside and the patio. One side was nice and packed for trivia (they do trivia here on Mondays), the patio was pretty thin...it had been raining and the humidity made the patio not too comfortable. And then there was the side we were. Charles the bartender was very helpful and gave us a heads up that the A/C on the main side was broken. ...and because of that they had to turn off the main grille...leaving nothing but fried appetizer-like options. Initially, hearing that gave me a sort of a "oh boy " feeling...and I sort of checked out. But after looking at the menu..I immediately started thinking about what kind of cardio I was gone have to do the next day to burn off all the stuff I was about to order. I had an Irish trashcan to drink....which was great and I also ordered sweet potato fries with cinnamon butter, mozzarella sticks, Parmesan fries and my boy got the mild wings, with beer battered fries. Everything was great, and got handled rather quickly. It was definitely what we expected and we were completely satisfied. The food was hot, prompt and very tasteful. Being that Charles was the only person working I did have to go to the bar several times to grab my food,drinks etc, which wasn't even a big problem. I definitely plan on returning....they have TV's everywhere, they're open until 0200...and if I enjoyed myself with 1 server serving the whole building, no A/C and all fried food...I'm dying to see how this place is when everything is fully functional. Also, much respect to this establishment. They offer a 50% discount to LE/Fire. If you're ever in the St. Marys area...this is the place to stop.! read more

I like the place and the food is good. Complaint or rather comment to management- the last two times I was there, no shrimp! Several dishes on the menu feature shrimp. Come on people. Having recently moved to south Georgia from Louisville KY, we, by good fortune, stumbled onto this little gem quite by accident. After eating and drinking here at least once a week since moving here, this is now our "go-to" place to relax, watch a ball game, play bingo on Tuesdays, and generally have a good time while enjoying their extensive menu. All the food we have tried so far have been generous in portion and quite good. The usual crowd on any evening is diverse and respectful, as are the folks working at the Wee Pub. A special 'shout out' to Ramsey, one of the bartenders serving up free-poured cocktails in fine fashion! We recommend this place as we consider ourselves 'regular' customers! read more

I went to the Wee Pub with the intention of having a beer with my dinner. Five hours later, when the cab picked me up, I had no idea what had just happened. The beer selection is the same as every other place in Kingsland/St. Mary's but they can make some wicked mixed drinks. I really enjoyed the luminescent green drink on the bar. For dinner, I had the fish and chips. It was ok. Not as great as I expected from an irish pub. But ok. I should have had the all-you-can-eat boneless chicken wings like the guy sitting next to me. They looked delicious and had about twenty different sauces to try. I give this place five stars because in St. Marys, this IS as good as it gets! read more

As I stated in the picture of my receipt (in the photos section) my bill came out to $12.48. Suggested gratuity stated on the receipt that 15% of $12.48 is $1.97 but really is $1.87. 18% stated was $2.36. Really is $2.25. 20% stated was $2.62. Really is $2.50. This establishment is taking advantage of customers by lying to them. Who knows how long that this has been going on since I came here. If you can't trust this restaurant with the bill, why trust the food? I will not be coming back here until they acknowledge their mistake and correct the problem. ***update*** From owner. First time visit around 10 pm and apparently this place doesn't have a decent host service. My friends and I walked in and haven't been seated nor presented with a menu. My friend have to go through the bar to get the menu, the menu didn't offer much but after skimming through. We always come here for the all-you-can-eat boneless wings. Let me just say... The Guinness boneless wings are the ABSOLUTE BEST! Everyone needs to try them. The food here overall is definitely really tasty. Their French fries are awesome as well! Let's get down to the customer service... The waitresses aren't really attentive to their customers. We would sit for 30 minutes at a time just waiting for them to come ask if we wanted a refill of wings. They fail at really filling up our drink glasses too. I always feel bad because I rarely want to leave a tip when I eat here, but the food is just so good. Lastly, I know someone who worked here and told me that their kitchen isn't very sanitary... They told me that a lot of cross contamination goes on back there. I don't know how true this is, and I have yet to have gotten sick. This place has a super Wednesday military discount of 30%!!!! Interesting dishes and this place will offer the unusual and new that many others will not. Today the Cheese Burger Soup was a great example. We had a taste and later a cup. Although a heavier cream soup as one would expect with "cheese" in the title, this was flavorful with tastes of finely diced onion, rich cheese sauce, and a savory mix of ground beef with a touch of spicy sausage. The tater tot poutine was really good. My boneless wings were spicier than I like, regardless of the sauce on them, and 12 was probably too many to order. The bathroom was below standard.
