We tried this place last night with family. The service was amazing and bery friendly. The food on the other hand was not. I love Shepherds pie and have eaten it as well as made it for my own family. The Shepherds pie at this Itish pub was not very good. The plate was hot but the food was just warm. The carrots were canned the meat overcooked and the mashed potatoes were stif not creamy. Overtime is in a pretty non-descript location on 8th St. It's worth a stop, though. We went for dinner on a Thursday night. The bar is small, and there's an 8 table dining area next to the bar with multiple TVs on any wall. I could see enjoying a fabulous football Sunday in that room! We ordered the Thai jalapeño poppers to start. They were fairly standard jalapeño poppers, served with a Thai spiced chili glaze and a creamy dipping sauce. They were properly crispy and not greasy, as poppers can be. They hit the spot. We then had the buffalo wings (served as whole wings, which can be cut in the kitchen if desired, and which we had done) served with house made blue cheese dressing. They were super crispy, and not heavily breaded (which I despise). The wings were big, meaty and juicy; examples of the genre. I had the fried grouper sandwich. I wanted their house made tots, but they were out (next time for sure!). I got the chilled Thai noodles as a side; they were a refreshing and delicious change from the usual "fried, fried and more fried" side dishes. The fish was super fresh, crispy, greaseless, and HUGE, served on a toasted brioche bun with lemon/dill tartar sauce. It was an absolute home run. Our experience wasn't that great- lots of confusion with the folks taking orders- not many people inside or outside, yet they all seemed to walk by the two of us for quite a while. Well, our experience started off pretty good. We are Kilkenny seekers. Like finding a good properly poured Guinness is difficult, finding a properly poured Kilkenny is more difficult. When we first arrived the guy (found out we was one of the owners later) poured our Kilkenny, did great tasted great, could there be some improvements, sure, but over all he did good. Then the "main" owner came in like hell on wheels, bit him about everything "the guys" didn't do on closing and how messy the bar was. Then we watch her try to pour two Guinness for other people....this was where the shit went down hill fast. She didn't open up her Guinness line fully and I'm not doing that the one glass ( which she only poured about 3") was flat and no nitro settling. Then she proceeded to do a 3 part pour! Not a 2, but a 3. She also was going back and forth with forward pull and backward pull, which changes speed and nitro, all within the "main" pours. Then it was our turn for our Kilkenny. She poured forward backward forward, and also a three part pour. We tried to correct her and were told "honey I know how to pour a Guinness"..... Then blamed it on her lines being tonsils and explained how... She also began to get more defensive and said Kilkenny doesn't even have to be on Nitro but that was a an extra line that was there.... Hold on, yes it does...Kilkenny is exclusive to Nitro. This is not Kilians Irish red, which is what I think she was thinking of. She was the owner and unwilling to have a proper discussion on what she was doing wrong. This doesn't even begin to explain the incompetence in the conversation including thinking Guinness and Kilkenny foam.... No honey that's the nitro settling when you pour it correctly. Silver haired partner who she talked crap about did a good job and we would have a positive review if he poured them. Oh and over $10 for a 20oz! read more

If you want a place to watch a game and have a couple of beers, it's got that vibe. Good selection of Irish beers. Service was attentive and I think they want to get better. That's why 2 stars . The food was dripping with grease. The egg rolls had chunks of fat off the corn beef. Fries were okay. But every thing was dripping with grease. This feels like the perfect place for Bar Rescue to film. My advice.. fire the kitchen staff. Have the kitchen deep cleaned. Hire people that know how to cook and corn your own beef. We both felt ill after and still not great this morning. For people looking at reviews .. this place rebranded March 2024. Older reviews are another place. read more

She continued to chat with the patrons that were done for an additional 10 minutes. Didn't offer us a menu or any other acknowledgement until we got up to walk out. What an amazing gem we found. The food is outstanding and the service is amazing, friendly and very accommodating for special request. We asked them to make an item that was a special several weeks ago, not on the menu the day we went and they made it for us. It was just as amazing as the first time we had it. I especially want to call our their nachos. They make their own chips which takes them to the next level. They are truly the best I have ever had. The cheese, flavorful chicken and sausage are seasoned perfectly for a perfect bite. Many times over the years at various restaurants, even here in FB, I have tried Shrimp and Grits and honestly I am not a fan. Until I tried the Shrimp, sausage gravy and grits at Overtime. OMG!!! To die for delish. My only regret is I did not take any photos to post. So unlike me honestly I always take pics of food for myself, I wanted to give a shoot out anyway. It is a really low key restaurant with loads of personality, worth checking them out. Writing this review has me wanting another trip to Overtime very soon. read more

All throughout the island there are menus that have Asian fusion, mainly Korean influenced. None of them did it as well as Overtime. As you can tell by the picture we had a lot of plates to try. There wings are deliciously saucy, but didn't pack as much heat as we were warned. Slightly disappointed, but not deterred from trying more options. You can definitely taste the love in the smoking process, everything was rich in flavor and juicy. I know it's frowned upon, BUT we were licking our fingers all night. Even though the chili is from a can, we could tell at first bite.. I look forward to coming back the next time we visit. read more
