I had a few things I wanted to try, but when I saw shaved corned beef on their Reuben, I decided that's what I wanted. When I gave my order to the server, I specified how I was excited to try it because it was shaved, and he told me it was his favorite, but he could never finish it. When the food came, I was very nervous because not only was the rye bread seeded, and I don't like seeded rye bread typically, the meat was clearly not shaved, but sliced. Once I took a bite, all of those concerns were gone! Not only was it such fresh and delicious bread that I am certain they must make or get fresh from a bakery, the corned beef had to be the most tender I've had in a very long time. There was not one chewy piece throughout the sandwich. Now, those fries...they are now my absolute favorite fries! I can see myself craving those. I didn't even get through half of the sandwich because it was a lot. My husband really enjoyed the smash burger as well. He said his bun was also very fresh and delicious, the burger was great, too! My traditional Irish food quest continues with this interesting dish. A friend of mine across the pond, who displays his version of the Bangers and Mash on the regular, and I wanted to try it. This is my first visit here. This area has a great deal to offer for culinary types like me. When you walk in and are greeted, you will be handed a menu quickly and asked to place your order and pay before being seated. I felt rushed with this process, as you are requested to provide a tip before receiving services or even experiencing the food. This was odd. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Upon seating, I visited the restroom and could point out that it had to have been the cleanest restroom I have seen. The restrooms have either been remodeled or are that particular, which says much about what comes out of the kitchen.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Outside seating and limited seating are available inside with high tops, tables, and the bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the pretzel bites to start and the Bangers and Mash. The pretzels are okay bar food, and the bangers and mash are what I was here for. The presentation was odd, but you could smell the seasoning and the onion gravy. I dive into the bangers and grab a bite of the four ingredients. Pleasant to see the mash is real, not instant, bangers (2) are seasoned well and full of flavor, the peas were el' dentè as though they appear to have been frozen, blanched, and served. The onion gravy was present, but limited green onions were added for decor rather than having onions present in the gravy. Amazing for today's economy and honestly the quality and taste of everything did not lack. I wish I had more photos but everything was too amazing not to just get into it. My partner had the Irish smash burger and I the Rueben with the shepherd s pie to go which as of right now I cannot attest too but everything was great. Well Shepherd's Pie is always a draw for me. Small quaint place with a good menu of Irish fare. Hi top or sit down tables. Bar seating. Lots of conversation going on. My husband & I love Scully's! They have Happy Hour every Monday-Friday from 3-6. Our favorite day to go is Wednesday because they have $1 wings which are fantastic. My husband and I stopped by for drinks one night and liked the menu so we went back today. I had a Rueben sandwich with fries along with a hard cider on draft. I have tried Rueben's all over the US and this Rueben, hands down, was the best I have ever had. It was perfectly prepared and simply divine. I big thank you to the chef. It was by far the best food I have had on the island. The hard cider was also perfectly chilled and refreshing on a hot summer day. My husband had a Guinness Pie which he described as delicious and very filling. Everything in it was cooked to perfection. He also enjoyed a perfectly poured Guinness Stout. We had the chance to try Scully's yesterday with a couple of our lucky charms - my wife's parents. It was a good day to enjoy the Scully's patio, where we witnessed a squirrel eating a Scully's French fry. It the squirrel posts a Yelp review, you can just disregard this one. When you choose to eat on the patio, you walk in to place your order at the counter, then they bring the food out to you. All of the staff involved in the process were friendly and attentive. Amongst us, we ordered a couple of Reubens, fish and chips, and fish chowder. I really liked the Reuben, and the fish chowder my In-Laws ordered looked pretty tempting. Although sharing is caring, I held off on asking for a sample. We'll be back to check out more of the menu and the bar area (fa' sho'). It's an order at the counter and take a seat sort of place. Wedge salad was romaine instead of iceberg, and was ok. Potpie was salty but good. Onion tangle was not good. Smash burger was fabulous. Reuben was amazing. Beef stew was really good. Colcannon was good but would be better with some kind of meat in it. Pretzel bits were decent. Brisket fries were really good. Nice casual spot for lunch. We sat outside in the courtyard next to the fountain to enjoy the beautiful weather. You order at the counter inside and they bring your food to you. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The Shepard's pie was delicious and paired with the green goddess salad was the perfect lunch to share with my 9 year old son.
