Very disappointed with this takeout order from Gators Dockside. The Buffalo Chicken Wrap had no buffalo sauce at all, they put ranch so so it was a plain chicken wrap with ranch. The onion petals were soggy, flimsy, and barely battered so I could not eat them! you could see most of the onion showing through, and they tasted old instead of crispy. The shrimp was tough and unexpectedly spicy, with no indication on the menu that it had heat to it. The buttered corn was completely unseasoned and honestly looked like canned corn dumped into a container. No utensils provided. For almost $36, this was some of the worst restaurant food I've spent money on in years. Definitely not worth the price, and the quality was way below what I expected. read more

Nice sports bar. Good local crowd especially if you like trivia. Noon time every day there are from 5 to 10 people playing all regulars playing on a national feed. We do quite well against other establishments around the country! Prices are good with a lunch deal of $10 back for every 5 visits. First time coming here, wanted a place to try something new and to actually try Alligator for the first time as well. This place definitely has a great home like cabin feeling upon entering. The waitress we had was really friendly and we were greeted to a table right away. It featured a bar too which was great! This place is really hit or miss. Miss more often than not. My wife said she wanted"munchie" food. We thought a couple apps and some wings would be just the thing during a busy college football week . They have something called tailgate poutine. I have never had poutine like this. The fries were covered in a bland pot roast, they said there was gravy but it was just the juice created by the pot roast. 5 cheese curds on the whole plate. They were awful. We got chips and queso. The queso was room temperature. Like they opened the can and put it in the bowl. It took about 10 minutes to get a replacement and we did not get enough chips to eat it all. The wings were on point. We had hot garlic and carribean jerk. They were cooked perfect, had enough sauce and both flavors tasted good. Our service was pretty bad. We had to wave someone down when we needed drink refills and to get a bill. Once we got our bill it took way to long to get cashed out. Only place open late. Food was good. Beer was cold. Lots of good appetizers and decent food offerings. Friendly staff and lots of tvs with every sport imaginable. Says they show UFC and football games on those particular days. They were training someone and also out of two of the items we wanted to order. So a little slow. Wife doesn't like salt on her Margaritas and ordered it without it. They must have forgot and then just wiped it off before they brought it out. Of course salt all in the drink and still around the lip of glasses. Not the only place to do that but not acceptable. Overall good place. We will try them again and see if they are in-stock on the food we want. Wings are good, nachos good, and egg rolls were good. Decent portions. This is our second time at gators, mainly because our neighbors like it. It's a basic sports bar with a bunch of tvs and cheap food. The first time was ok, we went again tonight, arrived at 6pm, there were people there but not crowded, seated immediately, server named Heather took drink orders and said the computers are down so if you want to pay by credit card, we will have to write down the numbers or pay cash, we had cash no problem. She brought drinks and took our dinner order, we ordered an appetizer. Well an hour and a half later she said, your food is an almost ready!!! Meanwhile every table around us came in after us, ate and left and the whole time she was sitting at a table counting her tips and talking to other servers, and blaming it on the computers. If it was the computers why did the other customers get their orders? The food was good but I won't go back, it was too frustrating, at the very least we should have been offered a free drink or dessert, very disappointed, also our appetizer came way after our dinners and it was under cooked wings read more

Food is average but service is always terrible. I've been here on many occasions which- I guess it's on me that I ever even went back and each time the service has gotten worse. Finally, I've learned my lesson at this point as I went in later at night around 9:30-10. Sat for OVER 30 minutes waiting for a server. While a blonde server casually swept around tables. She finally stopped after 30 minutes to say oh, I guess I'll help you guys i don't know where your server is. We went there last night to watch the Cotton Bowl. We were seated right away, greeted with a great server (don't remember her name). The food came out fast and the beer was ice cold. Price is decent for the portion size. Chicken Tenders: 3/5 - Semi Crispy, needed more seasoning. The gator's scooter sauce was pretty good, tasted like a thai sweet chili with tabasco sauce mixed together. Gators chips: 3/5 - Semi Crispy, potato tasting, requires additional seasoning. Very thick cut chip so it doesn't crisp all the way through when fried. Fries: 2/5 - Crinkle cut, semi crispy but texture wise seemed like a half day old mcdonalds fry. read more

I have been a fan of Gator's Dockside since I moved to Florida back in 2001. Twenty years later, I still enjoy this restaurant. I guess it is more adequate to describe it as a bar/restaurant. They have good burgers, wings and other bar type foods. They really don't take many chances, but that is not a bad thing. They know what Their audience wants and they give the customers what they demand. I would definitely recommend this location or any of their locations. I have been to many of them and I have never had a bad experience at any of them. Give them a try, I think you will be a fan. read more

Stopped by Gators Dockside tonight for a quick bite as it had been a busy day and my kitchen said dont get me dirty. Although the parking lot was packed we were able to get seated right away. Our waitress was Andrea and she was just full of personality and smiles. She gave rave reviews of the mac-n-cheese and other menu items. We ordered gator bites for an appetizer, a burger with a side of mac n cheese and I ordered the fish sandwich with fries. First the gator bites....no they dont taste like chicken, I dont care what people say...they just dont. The cup size is proportionally small considering the price so I probably would not order these again. Also, the top layer of the bites were fine, but the bottom layer was nothing but over done crispy nothingness. It's as if the chef stuck those in the bottom to fill up the cup even more. I did not order the well done hamburger but I was told it was good. I did take a bite of the mac n cheese and can confirm that it is made with velveeta and that makes everything velvety good. Now for the over done, over crispy fish sandwich. Which fry cook was not watching the fryer? This thing was crispy X's infinity. Dry....no amount of tartar sauce would make this fish slide down properly. Simply put, I think about two bites went swimming down my throat. When the manager came by to ask how things were I explained and showed him the issue and he acknowledged the problem as you could see it visually. He tried to make it up with a dessert, but who really wants dessert when you have not had dinner. I just said no thanks to that and he said he hoped I would give them another opportunity. When the bill arrived they had removed the bad fish meal which I did not eat. The meal did come with fries also which were standard crinkle cut fries which ironically were not over done and could have been a bit more done. More crispy fries, less crispy over done fish makes people happier. Now that I think of it, when the sandwich arrived at the table it was barely warm so maybe my fish was refried fish and warmed and dried up. Who knows, but it might be a while before we give them a second chance. 3 stars for good mac n cheese! read more
