Rob, our technician knocked on the door, introduced himself and we walked the property back to the location of our septic system. Why builders always place these systems way out back is beyond me. However, Rob jumped on the job, running hoses, and I mean a LOT of hose back to the tank and started the task. Did I mention it was a hot miserable day? Rob finished quickly and cleaned up PERFECTLY! Bay State Sewage is lucky to have a technician of Rob's ability and personality. A good man! One impressive comment I must make, Rob is the first pumpout driver to come onto the property and leave without burying those big dual wheels carrying a lot of weight into the soft spring grass. Not a trace. Rob is a guy who cares about what he does. Kudos! Additionally I need to give a shout out to the office personnel, specifically Caitlin, who had a negative response from our Credit Card. The answering service assured me they would contact the on-call technician and have someone dispatched immediately. Two hours passed with no response. When I called back, I was told the technician decided it could wait until morning because they could not find the tank covers. No one ever contacted me to verify that information. Had they done so, they would have learned that all tank covers had already been uncovered and illuminated, making access easy. I was then told the technician would call me directly to discuss next steps. That call never came. After waiting and following up multiple times, I was forced to find another solution on my own. Advertising 24/7 emergency service sets an expectation that emergency calls will be answered and addressed. Unfortunately, that did not happen here.

We came across J Hockman, and reached out to them, and told them what our problem was. Within a couple days they sent Chris storehouse who took the time to diagnose what was going on and explain in detail what had been done prior and what should be changed going forward. After accepting the quote for the work, they returned within several days and were able to fix the problem in under two hours. On Grade came by and gave me an estimate, I told them I had another company coming later that day on Saturday and would get back to them ASAP. The other company kept me waiting until after 5pm that day so with that I decided on On Grade. I did not call On Grade to tell them until Monday because I don't like people calling me on Sunday so I figured they may not like either. I guess Bob was not happy that I waited that long but accepted the job. He said they would get to it in around 3 to 4 weeks later. I had no problem with that since it was early October. I called the first week of November and asked if they needed a deposit. Bob got angry saying that the weather had held them up even though I had not even asked when they would start? Needless to say they never started the job last November. Once the weather got to cold to plant grass I called and left a message asking if they would get to it this year. No return call. I called again this last Friday and as of today no return call. I would think a professional business would at least call and tell me that they were not interested in doing the job any longer.
