My experience with McGuire Chevrolet was with a used car purchase for my son. I cannot speak to their service or attention to detail with new vehicles, only used. And it's just my experience, though I'm not really willing to give them too much credit. We bought this car in January and signed all the necessary "as is" documentations. We also waived our options to have the car independently inspected before we purchased. Just for point of reference... the team at McGuire is very quick to point out the "as is" clause in our purchase agreement, so wanted to put that up front. The car seemed to be in great condition. Exterior was clean and newly polished. The interior was clean and in great shape. I am not an auto mechanic, but did "pop the hood" and saw no indication that oil or fluids have been leaking or sprayed around. So by all appearances, we found a great deal. Or so we thought. Six months later, my 17-year old son said he started hearing clunking noises when braking. I took the car for a test ride that night and heard noises I've NEVER heard before from a car. Again, not an auto mechanic, but know enough to know this was not worn brake pads as it sounded more serious. We took the car to both a local, trusted mechanic, and our local Jeep dealer (as it is a Jeep, not Chevy). They both diagnosed the same issue - severe rust and rot in the frame and undercarriage. The Jeep dealer was so concerned about imminent, catastrophic failure, that they refused to allow us to drive the vehicle home while contemplating its future. We basically had no option than to have them fix the frame and structural components. McGuire's part in all this... my wife called and spoke to the president. He was very good at placating her and trying to calm her down. But the primary message that he kept repeating is that we bought the car "as is" and that we signed the "as is" paperwork and basically absolved the dealership from any responsibility. There was a subsequent issue with the fuel pump and gas tank that was related to the overall rust issue. Unfortunately this problem didn't present itself until after the initial work was done, so back to the shop and another big repair bill. I reached out to the McGuires to see if there was any compassion and accountability for the condition of the used cars they sell. There isn't. The only thing I got from them, besides some snarky responses to my points, was a constant reminder that I signed the "as is" contract in three places and an absolution of their responsibility. They do not stand by the (used) vehicles they sell. The only thing they stand by is the legal-eze in the "as is" contract. Buyer Beware was never more true than with dealing with this organization. As the president states, "It is common practice for us when selling an As Is used car not to inspect it". And that is a direct quote. read more

brought my car in for a fairly simple Check Engine Light, the code was Regen frequency, I even said I think I got bad fuel but check the down stream NOx sensor for a slow response. Instead my advice was ignored and the 'Shop Foreman' made the problem worse by LOWERING the regen limit from 15 soot grams to 10. So 2 days later the light comes back on and now i have a brand new car that had a problem of going into regen too often, about ever 60 miles, now goes into regen every 21 miles. I honestly thought the chevy dealer would have been better for my chevy car, now I will be taking it back to the GMC dealer who fixed the car the first time, I'm just upset that now they have to clean up someone else's mess on top of trying to find the cause of the original problem. read more

Our salesman Carl, found the perfect vehicle for us, and stayed within our budget. While filling out paperwork, we mentioned to Carl that we would love a Cadillac one day. Suspicious service practices! I visited in mid July 2025 for a standard oil change and tire rotation. I was told I needed brakes "safety issue". Fast forward to today, September 5, and had Mavis visually point out that I had more than 60% life remaining. PLUS McGuire put one tire on and stripped or damaged the lug nut, so that Mavis couldn't even get the wheel off to buy install new tires without damaging the bolt. Now I have to pay for 2 more lyft trips, AND a new lug nut and bolt because of McGuire. Watch your back here! read more

The entire McQuire team worked together to enable us to arrange financing and take the care home in less than 3 hours. Many time people complain...compliments are harder to come by for some reason. I had a situation, that after speaking with Devon was handled. Devon has been there a long time and while there are many new faces on the service counter Devon has been the one constant. Sometimes you need a 3rd person to get involved to get your point across.
