I went back again, not two weeks later. This place seriously has the best customer service ever. This visit, Angel helped me out, I had to coordinate with a few other bridesmaids to figure out which color to get for the pouches (as seen) and Angel was super patient with me while I heard back from the girls. He showed me other vinyl options, as well as showed me all the weeding tools, explaining their differences. This place has taught me so much, and I'm hooked! Extremely unhappy with this place. Their system was down when I went, so therefore, they asked me to pay cash which I did and then I told him I didn't need a receipt because of the supposed system troubles, they were going to email it later which they never did. So then, when I needed to return my item, they wouldn't allow it. All because I was accommodating their problems. So far not impressed with my first experience here and it makes me just want to keep ordering online. read more

Pretty much in line with the other negative reviews ( including not recommended ones) that this McLogan location has poor customer service. - Don't expect a lot of help, unless you're wearing a skirt. - Parking is shitty. My bf is a professional illustrator and just moved here from New York. We've been to Dick Blick's Art Supply in Little Italy and had no problems. We were out in Kearny Mesa this past Saturday doing other errands and he needed some art supplies so we Googled and found McLogan, only to find them closed at noon...on a Saturday?? Who does that and is able to stay in business? I guess these guys can. We missed them by minutes. That was pretty disappointing. Later, he went on their web site to make sure they had what he needed. A simple, yet old school product, rubber cement. In quantity, which you won't find at let's say, Michaels. They will only have it in a small amount. He did this, because he knew we had to go back out to Kearny Mesa again a couple of days later, and we thought this will be easy. He walked into McLogan and asked for the rubber cement and the guy said they don't carry it. BF said he found it on their web site that they do carry it. I guess they don't care about customer service, because the least the guy could have said was, "I'M SORRY." But if you can't even say a simple, courteous thing like that, you don't deserve our business. BUH BYE. read more

Excellent experience shopping for reflective vinyl at McLogan Supply recently. Even though the shop is set up for professional artists, the staff was extremely patient in helping a noob like me. The selection of vinyl colors and textures there is amazing, and seeing an entire wall of options will spark your creativity. While I was debating my choice, I heard a few other customers say this shop had the best prices in town on the materials they were getting. Even after I made my vinyl selections, Ricardo Flores went above and beyond to help me find some additional reflective colors that I adored. Prices are comparable if not better than online and definitely a lot better than chain craft stores like Michael's and Joann. It is hard for me not to want to grab all colors when I go here. I had never been in to McLogan's before but I was looking specifically for glow-in-the-dark HTV (heat transfer vinyl). McLogan's had what I wanted in stock, at a good price - plus shopping locally meant no additional shipping charges or waiting time AND I supported a neighborhood business. One of the team members, Rick, was extremely knowledgeable and gave me some great tips on working with HTV. While we were talking, another customer came in. Rick greeted her by name (she's clearly a regular) and introduced us. She also gave me some new project inspiration and I really appreciated the time that both she and Rick spent with me to make this "newbie" feel more confident in making some new creations. I will definitely be coming back to McLogan's for more supplies in the future.
