Stopped by around 330pm. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was really hot outside today and not much cooler inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Luckily this was a neat spot so I ordered a cold cider and settled in[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. It was happy hour and Vera Cruz fish tacos were calling. Again. Im hooked! These were so good. Carl the bartender was friendly. I asked for hot sauce and he brought over some Dark Star. Not spicy, but great flavor. This was a new neighborhood for me. I'll have to come back to explore more when it's not in the 90's.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Chill bar, cool scenery, delicious drinks, & friendly staff![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This bar is a cool spot to grab a drink.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Plus, a perk is that they have a free parking lot

We went here for a quick cider. First time at this location. Kinda homey and quaint. They had books right by the booths and board games were available too. It was quite nice. It's located at a busy street. Lots of nearby restaurants. They had a nice patio seating available outside. Street parking only. They had private events rooms available too. I love the shrubbery around this Mcmenamins. Very nice to have a neighborhood walk to this location. They had a wood stove in the back with an area for firewood. It's very nice for winter time.

Walked in and the sign said to go to the other end of the restaurant to be seated. There wasn't a host. So we kinda roamed until the bartender was done taking a Igor order. He immediately sat us and was very pleasant. Kids ordered scooby snacks which were mini corn dogs. Food came out burnt. Mcmenamins fries - large portion. Fries were a little soggy. But they came out nice and hot. Vera cruz cod tacos - excellent! Sauce was spicy but it was just right for my taste. Apple cider draft - good smooth taste Whisky barrel terminator ale - nice dark beer. Great taste

Old Dim Pub, bad service, they let your food get cold if they're more than 2 groups dining, so expect a wait and cold food

The taproom is located in an industrial area and shares a space with Pizza Thief. Parking is plentiful and on the Thursday afternoon that I stopped by, the taproom was pretty empty. Happy hour is from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and you're able to get $3 off of select pints. I opted for the Northleft, a hazy IPA and for $4, it can't be beat. This particular hazy had great texture and the hops really pack a punch. If you're not familiar with Great Notion beers, they also have a bunch of delicious sours and "smoothies" that are otherwise very difficult to find from other breweries. It's a true art and only talented brew masters are able to create beers this tasty. If you have an opportunity to head towards this part of town, I highly recommend checking out Great Notion. If you're working remotely, they also have guest WiFi you can connect to to get some work done with beer in hand.

It's no secret and there's no denying why this brewery continues to bring home gold medals for their different styles. They are 100% dialed in on what it takes to make good beer. As far as the interior space, it's pretty much industrial standard. Better than a warehouse but really just a no frills space to down some delicious cold beer. If I'm being honest, I don't come here for food because they mostly have pizza I believe and for my money their are better places to grab a slice. Don't let this deter you though, I've had the pizza, it isn't bad at all just not a driver for me to visit. Grab some friends, or just yourself and try this place!

My wife and I drove over 30 minutes to visit this location because we were looking forward to enjoying good BBQ, tacos and a beer. Unfortunately, the political signage displayed throughout the windows and establishment made us feel unwelcome, so we decided not to stay. Great Notion and Matt's BBQ Tacos, you've pushed away customers who came ready to support your business and spend money with you. I wish you the best, but it seems you've chosen to operate not only as a restaurant and brewery, but also as a platform for political messaging. That's your right, of course, but it's a direction that may alienate customers who simply want to enjoy good food and drinks without politics being part of the experience.

The Blueberry Muffin is an all-time favorite, and even though I get annoyed when they're sold out, it's never enough to keep me away. Most times I get a flight and try a bunch of different things. This location is charming. It has the industrial decor that now feels cliché but was groundbreaking for beer and burger spots a decade ago. With a very large patio and big garage doors, it's great during summer especially. Staff is knowledgeable about their beer, patient while we deliberated, and did us a favor to help the beer travel on the plane. The kitchen is now operated by Matt's BBQ Tacos (which I will review separately).

I love the space as well, though if you're looking for somewhere for a quiet conversation and welcoming pastels this is NOT your spot. I wish we could bring the kids to hang out with us on the patio at least, but Portland permitting is weird AF. Love the merch, love the tap lists, love the events, love the cooler; what more can I say? To top it all off they have El Viejon serving some of the best mexican food anywhere in Portland right in the joint! I've yet to try a single dish that's not delicious and many are absolute favorites. Get a cali burrito and call it a day; you'll be set! Sam et al; you guys are amazing and we really appreciate you! I am a big fan of the indoor/outdoor flow for the space, especially on nice weather afternoons like we have had recently. Outdoor seating is limited, so be prepared to sit inside. Interior seating is not the most comfortable, with former church bleachers that are quite bouncy or large and hard game of thrones-like high chairs. The team is super friendly and will send you to the food station or the bar depending on your needs, and, with the good quality Mexican cuisine on service, you'll want a taco or two. The brewery specializes in Hazy/IPAs, to come expecting to enjoy these PNW basics. I swapped between them and non-alcoholic options since hazies are not my favorite but everyone I was with loved them. The restrooms are clean and there are plenty of bike stands to make this a car-free journey.
