I've been here several times and found it to be good. Very friendly service staff. Their food generally is well prepared and presented but I wouldn't say especially memorable. The grilled trout with zarandeado marinade is memorable ... wonderful flavor! The burgers are good, but not necessarily a knock out that stands above other places. I tried their salmon fish and chips. It's the PNW so salmon makes good sense, and I love salmon, but I discovered that the flavor profile of salmon isn't quite right for a battered and fried fish dish like white fish are. I've had only one truly disappointing experience. I had a light appetite so I ordered their Beet and Citrus salad. I declined any protein to be added. For $18 I received a large platter with the salad literally taking up ONE HALF side of the platter as if something else was supposed to be served beside it. The chef could've easily proportionalized the size of the salad and balanced it on the plate so it looked like a complete meal. Love love lovely all around, from the casual, woody but not divey vibe, to our crab cake starters (real crab!) to the Fish n Chips and Steak Bites. The salmon in my fish chips was perfect, a nice twist on an old favorite and frankly a more flavorful one to boot. I upgraded to truffle fries, and once again, they were a hit; nicely crisped and with that distinctive truffle flavor. We had a tough time deciding what to order, TBH, the Latin-inspired menu looked interesting and diverse all around, and the cocktail list creative as well. Reasonable wine options too, reasonably priced. To top it all off, our server was totally charming, patient, and very very informative. But. One star off, as we just sat there for close to 20 minutes initially -- in a near empty restaurant-- before we could flag someone down to take our order. First new restaurant try of 2026! I was looking for a spot for belated celebrations to kick off the new year - specifically somewhere that had a broader menu, allowed kids, and looked yummy. This spot popped up and the menu intrigued me - I was not disappointed. The food here was very good - I throughly enjoyed the beet salad, my husbands arroz con pato was heavenly, and all the desserts were incredible. It did take a bit to get our food - so if you're looking for a faster paced restaurant I'd keep that in mind. We didn't mind too much since we were out celebrating with friends. Our server was so friendly, gave thoughtful recommendations based on what we asked, and was attentive. This is a nice, lively spot with a good menu for groups. Arrived very late in the afternoon by #4 bus. Had eaten here before when it went by a different name. Anyway the food was average, nothing to write home about. Val had chicken wraps and they were ok, the fries on the other hand were above average. I had a Kenton burger and fries, the burger wasn't as tasty as advertised, but the fries were some of the best tasting ever. Val had a small glass of wine which was $10, for the size of the pour I felt was a little steep. (House pino Grigio ), one can buy a bottle for $4.50. At most markets. However I was with two others in my party and they went with regular food. The fish and chips looked amazing and they use salmon and the chips were seasoned. The other dish was a risotto and it looked great. I got the Mac and cheese because I wasn't that hungry. It was delicious as well. I also ordered a beer and it was cold and delicious. Had a tasty fried chicken sando for lunch. I usually like a bit crunchier breadier breading, this one was a little thinner like fish n chips style but pretty good still. They have a good HH daily from 2-5 w/ $4 draft pints (but only lager). The fries were very nicely seasoned but a tad too crispy. I've been plant-based for 12 years and was so happy not to be stuck with cauliflower steak (give me something that's meaty and has some protein!). But Northport delivered. Reader, beware that I am biased for this location, and I'm so happy to have a wonderful, casual neighborhood restaurant back in Kenton (I know Kenton has restaurants, but the former Swift and Union building is special to me). Today's lunch: wedge salad with added chicken. Delicious! Partner: fried chicken sandwich with brioche bun (not his favorite type of "too bready" bun. Very good. No drinks this time, but I have my eye on the North Old Fashioned. Service was gracious and well-paced. Atmosphere is one of my favorite restaurant vibes for casual, great dining: it exudes warmth and charm. The space is designed with minimalistic decor, emphasizing comfort and a welcoming atmosphere. The interior features large windows facing south and east, allowing natural light to flood the room during the day. The walls are painted dark blue and grey, creating a serene backdrop that complements the simple yet elegant furnishings. Wooden tables and chairs are strategically placed to provide ample space for diners, adding a touch of coziness without overwhelming the minimalist aesthetic. Good food, good service, the worst cocktail of my life. We started with a couple of decent cocktails- a house manhattan and a Portlandia. Then Buratta salad, which was big (enough for two to share) and delicious. Then came the truffle parm fries, which were deliciously hot and crispy. Then we ordered our mains - the Steak Au Poivre & Pescado al Pastor both were delicious - nice combination of flavors, but each were a bit over cooked. I ordered medium rare and got medium, but it was still very tender and full of flavor. The gravy is not needed for the steak, as the rest of the dish has plenty of flavor. However, it was my dinner cocktail that ended up ruining the experience. I ordered the "Red Skies" and it honestly tasted like I was drinking chemicals. I took a sip and wondered if they had accidentally added cleaning solution or some sort of automotive chemical. I told the server and asked him to smell it, thinking he might remedy it. But he just told me it was the egg whites in it. I'm not sure how egg whites could make something taste chemically. It was an unfortunate way to end an otherwise good meal. I didn't end up drinking it, which is disappointing and frustrating when you shell out $16 for a drink. Otherwise, this place would be a solid 4+. read more

I live in Kenton and walk every morning. I notice that Northport doesn't clean up their surrounding area or unclog the street drain on a regular basis. I have also noticed that they throw their dirty dish water out onto the Denver sidewalk. This makes me so very sad. Kenton is a neighborhood that looks out for each other and cleans up after each other. Please be a better neighbor! If we all do our part we will have a clean rat free community that EVERYONE can enjoy. When Northport first opened we were so excited when we read that the owners really tried to be part of their community-so far this has just been lip service with no actions. This place is woefully understaffed. I waited almost 10 minutes at the front (sign at the front indicated to wait to be seated). They only had one person at the bar, several dirty tables, several large parties. I asked the person at the bar if I could sit anywhere and was asked to wait by the door and he'd be with me asap. So I waited- he fulfilled a drink order for a large party - in the meantime, 3 other parties had come in behind me. The staffer came over and advised us there would be a 45 minute wait for food orders. Their mole is wonderful and we had a marvelous black cod dish that was unlike any other black cod prep I've had. Complex dance of flavors. We stop by here on Saturday in January at lunch time. Very quaint restaurant that serves breakfast, brunch, happy hour and dinner. They have two large tables And all other tables are either table or 2 or table of 4. They serve alcohol too. Very open sittings facing windows of N Denver St. My friend ordered an old fashioned drink and the Chilaquiles Verdes and I ordered a Tres Leches French Toast. Food was prepared to order. The food came out piping hot. I cut into my French toast and the syrup was dripping all over the middle. Strawberry jam on the side where I can dip the French toast in it. It was delicious. Sweet and fulfilling. My friend's Chilaquiles Verdes look like a Nacho Open Burrito. Came with black beans on the bottom, nachos, cheese, chorizo sausage pieces and eggs on top. It was devoured quickly. This is a place for a brunch and to relax. Lots of good selection of foods to choose from. We both ate our food before our next stop in the neighborhood. read more

Northport is our absolute favorite local restaurant. We dine there weekly and never fail to find something wonderful on the menu. Today it was the Crab Cake starter...and Breakfast Burrito. We can't say enough about how fresh and delicious the Crab Cakes were. It's usually scary to order Crab Cakes because they can be disappointing. Not a Northport! They come with some tasty Arugula & homemade tarter dressing...totally yummy. The Breakfast Burrito with Canadian Bacon was so flavorful we kept wondering how they did such a great job with eggs, crispy potatoes, avocado, mozzarella, and Chipotle mayo.
