I put it back together, but the water would no longer turn off so we had to keep the water to the entire house turned off. I called Ray's and they were not able to come out that night. The next day they were there within an hour of calling them. An hour later they had it fixed completely. The competition came out the night before and talked about putting valves in the basement, tearing out a bedroom wall to get to the back of the plumbing, and cutting through the shower wall! I knew this was not required because Ray's had switched out the other cartridge just a few months prior to this incident. The competition told me the cartridge was stuck and he may not be able to get a part since it was 8 p.m. He looked up the part and said it would be about $500 for the part and around the same for labor. I told him I'd call another plumber and deal with the mess in the morning. The competition charged me $189 to do nothing. Ray's charged me a total of $200 for parts and labor. I will never attempt plumbing DIY again and I will never use another plumbing service!

The technicians replaced my hot and cold water lines, repaired the shower plumbing, and installed a kitchen faucet. However, my original drain issue was not resolved and the drain is still leaking/backing up. I also had to clean up debris that was left behind after the work was completed. I've reached out to the company and requested a resolution under their advertised 100% Satisfaction Guarantee and Home Safety Guarantee, and I'm waiting for their response. I was also unable to locate a plumbing permit for the work performed and have requested clarification from the company as to whether one was obtained, as this type of work typically requires a permit. I hope we can resolve this matter, and I'll update my review once they respond.

Which not only is that an astronomical quote, but it wasn't even including all of the parts needed. The tech told me I'd need to purchase a bunch of things from Lowe's. The things I'd have to provide were: Powervent Water Heater $1.2k, sump pump $300, sump basin $50, 4 bags of rock $30, 2 50lb bags of concrete mix $8, and a pvc pipe $12. All for an extra $1,600 on to the original $6k quote but now I'm being put to work when I am trying to pay for a professional to do the job. They told me once I get those supplies they would come back out to do the job. Which would be Monday or later. So to recap, I called a "same-day" advertising service on Thursday, was rescheduled to Friday, and then pushed again to Monday with the stipulation of me supplying the parts. So, not only is their claim to arrive ready to do the job a massive lie, but expect astronomical quotes and to do half the job yourself when you call Mike Williams.
