As a Damascus resident for 16 years and a Girl Dad of three daughters, the oldest who is nearly 13…read moreand has been cared for by Dr. Wells-Green since she came out of the womb, I am surprised I haven't reviewed this office earlier. All of my children are treated here and I can't imagine putting their care in the hands of any other doctor or office. His longevity, and the trust he has earned, in this small but "picky" town speaks volumes, and I truly live by the motto "If Wells-Green advised it, we must do it." He is THAT wise and THAT experienced, both as a Pediatrician and as the active parent of children himself, which is evident by his kids' art work and photos on the walls of his office and hallway. My eldest has been a very healthy child all of her life, but my 4 year old and one year old have had more challenges in terms of ear infections, RSV, etc. Through it all, Dr. Wells-Green, Jaime and the rest of the staff have been incredibly responsive and accommodating, and provide so much peace of mind for me as a parent. I almost wish I was under 18 so I could be treated here myself! LOL. If you are here looking for a new pediatrician, even if in the neighboring cities of Germantown and Mount Airy - don't second guess this office. The reviews don't lie - he is such a compassionate, kind, caring man, father and doctor.

We started going to The Pediatric Center after transferring from another practice, and it has been…read moresuch a refreshing change. The office is well-organized, the staff is consistently friendly, and the environment is clean and welcoming. We really appreciate the separation of well and sick visit areas -- it's a thoughtful touch that gives extra peace of mind. Everyone we've encountered has been so kind to our 1.5-year-old, which helps him feel completely at ease during visits. They genuinely interact with the kids and make the experience positive from start to finish. I recently had to call on a weekend and was connected with a nurse who was incredibly helpful and thorough in answering my questions. That kind of care really stands out. We see Dr. Diane Landram, and she is absolutely wonderful. She takes the time to listen, offers helpful and up-to-date information, and never makes you feel rushed or dismissed. This is exactly what pediatric care should look like -- highly recommend!

I am absolutely appalled by the experience my husband and daughter had at this office. We will…read morenever be returning, and I strongly question how this office is being managed. My husband brought our daughter in for an appointment that was specifically scheduled for two shots. In addition, we requested that they look at stitches that had not completely dissolved. Somehow, when my husband arrived, the staff had no idea why she was there and apparently thought the appointment was only for the stitches. This was not a misunderstanding on our end -- the appointment was booked by the nurse for the purpose of getting her shots. Because everyone was apparently getting ready to leave for the day, my husband and daughter were then rushed through the appointment. The fact that the staff had apparently made a scheduling error and were now inconvenienced by their own mistake is not our problem. To make matters worse, this office has previously used a cold-pack buzzer to help distract our daughter during shots. This time, they didn't. It may seem like a small detail, but when you're dealing with a child getting shots, consistency and basic consideration matter. The worst part of the entire experience, however, was what happened afterward. My husband was sent to the manager's office, where the manager proceeded to question him about why we don't bring our daughter in more often. She actually asked, "How do you know she's growing?" Seriously? We can see her. We are her parents. It is completely inappropriate and incredibly condescending for a manager to question a parent about how they choose to parent their own child, especially when there was absolutely no justification for the attitude she took with my husband. Her demeanor was disgusting, judgmental, and completely unprofessional. She then apparently mumbled something along the lines of how it was "good" that he brought her in for her shots because "you know how people are these days." That comment was completely inappropriate and frankly left us wondering exactly what she was implying. There was absolutely no accountability for the office's scheduling error. Instead, my husband was made to feel as though he was the problem. This entire experience was disrespectful, unprofessional, judgmental, and completely unacceptable. Parents should not have to walk into a pediatric office and be made to feel scrutinized or criticized by the people who are supposed to be providing care for their child. What a disgrace. We have completely lost confidence in this office and will be taking our daughter elsewhere. I would not recommend this office to anyone looking for a place where parents and children are treated with basic respect and professionalism. If I could give this office zero stars, I absolutely would.

It is very difficult to get appointments and good luck getting a nurse to respond to questions you might have. We had to call numerous times to get someone live on the phone. The women was demanding my 2 yr old daughter wear a mask. This has already been proven ineffective, so we were denied medical attention. The receptionist also continued to argue with me about all the issue were we having vs. listening to me and trying to help and get us to were we needed to be...healthy and happy.

After 1 disastrous visit to a different doctor, a friend recommended Dr. Lee. It was worth the drive out to New Market to see him. Totally worth it! Great experience, and now we have a great doctor to rely on for years to come. Pros: --AMAZING staff in the front office - they are so kind and friendly. What a breathe of fresh air! We were waiting for our new insurance cards and they were helpful and took the lead with getting it all sorted out. --AMAZING nurses - really liked our nurse, wish I could remember her name! --Small office - we only saw one other person who was on the way out --No wait time - we didn't even finish the paperwork before we were being called back to be seen --Clean - it was such a relief to see the nurse put a fresh new disposable pad on the scale before weighing by daughter. We've been to other offices that do not do this (but instead reuse old pads), and it felt like they were really trying to keep the office clean and germ free --Dr. Lee! - The best part of all. Dr. Lee is knowledgable, professional, and very kind. He allotted extra time for our visit since I was a new client. He listened to all our issues and did not seem in a hurry to get out the door. He gave practical and helpful advice for sleeping and feeding and other concerns. I really appreciated the way he talked about both biology and behavior when discussing these issues. We've only had one visit, but I will definitely repost after a few more. We plan on going to Dr. Lee for years to come! So thankful to have found such a great office and great doctor! --Helpful website Cons: --Really can't come up with anything. I'll add to this post if concerns arise.

He has been practicing for several years and was recently named to the Washington Best Doctors. I am really pleased with the way he runs his practice, and with his view and approach to medicine. He is amazing with kids--friendly, quick, and my son really likes him (my daughter is a newborn and she likes everyone :) He is great about screenings and making sure, developmentally, your child is on track, but he does not intervene when not medically necessary. He explains everything to you in a way that you can understand but without being patronizing. Even though I was a second time parent with my baby, he still explained things in a way that made me feel at ease and "reminded," which is great because some people just expect that you will remember! Wait times are excellent. Maybe about 5 minutes or sometimes less. Also, he has individual buckets of toys for kids, which helps maintain the mess, and probably makes cleaning easier. The exam rooms are incredible. He has themed rooms---a firetruck room where the bed is a firetruck! There are orange cones, real vintage fireman hats on the wall, and little fire trucks and extinguishers for cabinet fixtures. He has a jungle room where the table is an elephant, and two new rooms that may not yet be finished--a train and a cafe. The technology is state of the art, and he tries to run things on an electronic health record system, which I LOVE! He monitors progress through an online CHADIS questionnaire, and keeps electronic records. He does print out material for you to take home, which is an important sign of a good primary care provider. We have never had an issue getting a sick appointment when we need one. He somehow manages to fit us in. Between two kids, this is really important. Also, his staff is excellent. His nurse is kind, sweet, and great with kids. On top of that, she is good and quick with the shots, which I really appreciate. Leslie, his front desk/office manager is quick, kind and efficient. I find that either you have a great doctor and an "okay staff" or the other way around. it is so nice to have both!!! Overall, you can't go wrong with Dr. Hirsch. We are truly very happy with him and his office!
