I felt like I needed to order the Maine blueberry and espresso soft serve swirl. I am so glad that I did! It was very tasty. The cone was HUGE. I couldn't finish it myself, but my husband was happy to. Service was fast and friendly! They had puppy ice cream on the menu and both of our dogs were thrilled that they got their own treat. Even the dog sized ice cream treat was large. We purchased one for each of our two pups, but probably could have gotten away with them sharing one. Great family run little summer ice cream walk up. If you like soft-serve, the blueberry espresso is worth the trip. Prices may seem a little high but the "amount" given back is proportionate! We happened upon Me & Ben's Dairy Crème on our drive home from hiking Acadia. What better post hike treat than ice cream am I right? They had blueberry and espresso soft serve (along with chocolate and vanilla and other non-soft serve ice cream flavors) - highly recommend the blueberry espresso twist soft serve. It was a unique combo but it was delicious!! They also had dairy free soft serve options for anyone needing that. Portion sizes were generous and the prices were reasonable. Staff were very friendly and helpful! Will be adding this to my list of places to revisit. read more

The locals at Chase's Restaurant in Winter Harbor, Maine recommended that we stop here and we were thrilled that we did! The Espresso Custard was unique and very flavorful. It's hard to find good tasting coffee ice cream... although I would have liked a few more chocolate-covered espresso beans in my serving! It's kind of the luck of the scoop, I guess. Despite a crisp fall day, we weren't the only ones looking for an ice cream fix on a lazy day driving in Acadia National Park! Cute place with picnic areas to sit. And this place serves it in either sugar or regular cone. This ice cream shack also serves excellent fries! They weren't greasy at all and toasty with its skin. I love this kind of French fries. They do have a sign right in front of their order window saying: Be Nice or Go Home, yet they seem kinda cold as ice cream, except for the young lady with a nice smile. We passed by this place and then we turned around to give it a try. Delicious! We ate a light lunch of hot dogs!! I ordered a corn dog and hubs ordered the kraut dog basket. Afterwards, we got a kiddie scoop of Giffords blueberry ice cream. Our lunch including dessert cost less than $15! The lady taking orders was very sweet. If I could give them ZERO stars, I would. Which makes me sad considering my family has had a house in Prospect Harbor for over 100 years and know the owners well. Two days ago they charged me $16.20 for two SMALL cones. Granted, we asked for waffle cones. But still. A small cone is two scoops of ice cream and listed on their sign as $4.50. Waffle cones are listed as a $2 up charge. So where is $16.20 for two small cones coming from?! Then today my daughter and I stopped in for a quick dinner before heading to Schoodic. After waiting in line for 20 minutes I start to order chicken fingers for my daughter - Nicole picks up a pen and pad to start taking our order - then out of nowhere (and quite rudely) states "the food's done for tonight." It was 7:07. They close at 8pm. The sign out front says "The kitchen closes at 7:30, not 7:35." Yet it's ok for them to close arbitrarily at 7:07 without apology or explanation? I don't know what happened, they used to be so kind and so honest. Now they're overcharging, rude and arbitrarily decide when to stop serving food. We won't be spending our money here again. read more

Very good. More on the gourmet side vs a regular old school dairy creme. 2 dogs + tip were $16. We also tried the blueberry and espresso twist soft serve - very good. The blueberry soft serve was enjoyed. And the blue monstah was delicious. After hiking around the beautiful part of Acadia located nearby on a very hot day in July I was really craving a good chili dog and ice cream! However, after reading the excellent reviews this place did not meet the expectations I had, especially for the high prices. The chili dog was on a small, not toasted bun that got soggy and fell apart within minutes. And it was just much smaller than I expected for the price. On this particular day they had limited ice cream flavors and were out of a few of my favorites, but I appreciated that they had a low fat option in chocolate. It was more icy than creamy which I found to be refreshing on such a hot day. I guess it's one of those places that has become a tradition for people to visit who come to the Winter Harbor area each year. I only wish they could amp up their hot dog dressings! read more

The best fries! Hand cut fresh and they'll make you chili cheese fries which are great fuel after a long bike ride. Would not rec their chicken sandwich or tenders but you can't go wrong with their hot dogs and ice cream. read more
