This place is amazing! I love their meatloaf sandwich. Their service is superb, and stepping in you feel transported back in time.

Unfortunately, my food was inedible. We had a large party come in, they were only notified about 30-45 minutes before, and when I told the manager that mine was inedible (the meatball was incredibly dry, terrible flavor), he said "well we should've been told you all were coming sooner so we could prepare better." This was the worst food I have ever had in my life and the service was just okay, didn't feel that clean in there. I do not typically write reviews such as this, but this was despicable. Almost everyone else with me had complaints as well. I hope that they go up from here.

A few days ago I was waiting to stop at this Diner. It does not lose the classic design of the Diner in NJ. Extensive menu, good service, the food is good. I would stop there again.

Mold in the burger

There was mold on the burger and it was disgusting. There was a lot of attitude and it just wasn't good.

I ordered the Avocado Cobb Salad via Uber Eats. The food was prepared and packaged well and arrived quickly. This salad had some of the freshest cut avocado I've ever received on a salad. I'll definitely be ordering from here again!

I've been here many times. It's always very good and always reliable. Today I came at a weird time -- 4PM -- just to avoid crowds (pandemic!). The place was empty and I had great service. I got the Chopped Steak dinner special which came with soup and dessert. It was all very good and my server was great and checked on me several times. Dinner was less than $20 so it was a great deal. Will definitely come back. Like I said, I've been here many times!

The breakfast is really good. Our server, Kayla, was very attentive and great! The Taylor ham egg and cheese is the best!

So it's nice not to have to deal with all the lousy traffic and crazy drivers especially at 9 AM on a Sunday Almost nobody on the road. It's a little tricky to pull into the diner so I had to make a right turn and then drive straight across Route 17 and park in the diner It was pretty crowded when I got there around 9:30 AM. I sat at the counter and said hello to John. Got a menu and decided to order the veggie omelette. Add mushrooms well done potatoes and white toast with coffee, of course I talk with John and kid it around with him for a little bit in between when he was grabbing the plates from the cook then bring them out to the customers at the booth or sitting on the stools at the counter My breakfast came out and I was pretty hungry. Loved how the omelette looked. Nicely done on the grill some spots on the edges had a nice golden brown those potatoes look excellent also Very flavorful the omelette with the cheese, mushrooms and other healthy vegetable vegetables. Everyone was chatting and john was having a good time talking to everyone. But he had to pay attention to what the short order cook was saying to him so he could bring the plates to the right tables. Someone next to me was having sausage so I decided to order a side of sausage which was done nicely on the grill. Split and then put on the grill so it was nicely done on the inside of the sausage. Where it was split, of course. I even got one of the danishes for dessert. I'll definitely come back again soon. I know that the patty melt is supposed to be very good so I think I'll have an early breakfast one of these mornings this week. You can't beat a diner like this regular customers chatting John kidding around with the customers and the short order to cook Family places like this not many are left around in the area. So definitely get down to the Bendix Diner . The neon looks great on the top of the diner spelling of Bendix Diner .

Plenty of shiny diners in NJ with lackluster service, this is not that. Host and waiter were friendly and fast, with that fun east coast upbeat attitude about things. Authentic all around. Our breakfast wrap, soup, and grilled cheese hit the spot, very yummy. Go in expecting nothing fancy, you won't be disappointed.

We're so glad we did, because this hole in the wall turned out to be a diamond in the rough. With a nondescript exterior and limited signage, Foodies Diner is easy to miss. It's in an area with mainly houses and mixed use commercial buildings, but the space inside is cozy. I especially appreciated the way the owner greeted everyone who enters and thanked everyone who leaves with notable warmth and small-town friendliness. The menu reads like a true diner - with all-day breakfast and brunch options, as well as standard lunch fare. We ordered a Santa Fe salad and an L.A. burger - which comes with avocado, bacon, onion, lettuce, and tomatoes. The burger was pretty standard, but having it delivered on a warm brioche bun feels a little bit special. The accompanying fries were also great - crisp and potatoey on the inside. The salad, on the other hand, was a near triumph. Served on a large platter, there was a small field of well-seasoned chicken, shredded cheddar, vegetables, avocado, pico de gallo, and - best yet - some pieces of warm, toasted pita. I even sprinkled some pieces of bacon from my burger into this salad, and wow did that take it over the top. I dug into this salad with fair gusto and would absolutely come back for it...which is saying something, since I wouldn't expect to fall in love with a salad at a diner. Service was fantastic, and we were pleased with how reasonably priced our meal turned out to be. There's plenty of parking - either right out front or in the lot further back.

It wasn't until the 17th century that this meal became a more common practice, especially among the wealthy, who would have rich dishes like scrambled eggs alongside coffee and tea in the morning. The Garden State is still known as the diner capital of the world. Located off Essex Street in Hackensack, this establishment is one of the handful of 24-hour diners. With its unique harlequin decor, Chit Chat remains a chic, upscale diner that we frequent often with friends and family. Upon arrival this morning, my partner, his family, and I were greeted by the staff at the host station, and we were able to get a table quickly. The menu was extensive, and we took our time looking but did not feel rushed. Their menu includes a lot of things one may not find on a regular menu. We decided on their brunch menu and ordered Raspberry & Brie Stuffed French Toast, Santorini Benedict, Bro-Nana Cocoa-Nuts Multigrain Pancakes, and Chorizo Hash & Eggs with a choice of a complimentary mimosa, bloody Mary, or Bellini. The food is always fresh and tastes delicious. The portion is healthy and the prices reasonable. The service is consistently fast and friendly. Our server was Ashley. Today, breakfast isn't just about nutrition; it's a cultural ritual.

Unfortunately, this experience didn't fully reflect the quality I've come to expect. A few of our dishes really missed the mark. The lobster mac & cheese special was especially disappointing, I couldn't find a single chunk of lobster. It was made with cheddar cheese and even had tomato in it, which made the overall combination taste off and fairly bland. We actually took the gnocchi home so I could take a closer look, and there truly was no visible lobster, if anything, it may have been just a crumble that you couldn't even appreciate, which defeats the purpose of a lobster mac & cheese. The steak sandwich ordered medium came out overcooked and with a lot of fat making it hard to enjoy removing fat as you eat it and the Cuban sandwich was quite dry. On a positive note, my quinoa chicken bowl was good, and my boyfriend breakfast sandwich as always was great. Our waiter was super nice, and the ambience is always comfortable and inviting. I'm sharing this feedback with the intention of helping, as this has always been a go-to spot for me, and I look forward to continuing to have the great experiences I know you're capable of delivering. One more thing, please bring back the original kale salad. Your new menu lists a new version that changes the whole thing. Including a picture of the original to refresh your memory from 2 years ago. Plus their portions are very large. I came here with breakfast in mind on a Monday at 11:30 AM, but when I saw the rock 'n' roll burger I decided I had to go for it, and I was glad I did. It came with lettuce, tomato, onion, lots of bacon, and blue cheese crumbles. You could assemble the burger yourself and make it as fat as you desired. It was a half pound patty cooked perfectly to medium and the bun was nice and soft. You could also get a tiny cup of coleslaw and a pickle on the side if you requested it. It came with french fries and two large onion rings. It was absolutely worth the $16.95. Service is always efficient here because they do get busy. Keep in mind that if you pay by credit card there will be a 3% service charge on your bill and that's not always evident upfront. I paid cash. I got a cold brew coffee, just an iced black coffee and I got a refill on that for free so that was nice. They have a parking lot and there is also parking on the side neighborhood streets. Their desserts look outrageous, but I've always been too full to try them. There is also a full bar here & the menu like I said is so big that I believe there will be something for everyone's palate. I would not hesitate to stop if I was hungry and was in the area anytime of day.
