    Pastrami and disco fries
    Mel T.

I always pass by this diner when I go to Shop Rite and have been meaning to check it out. My family and I (5 adults + 1 baby) came by on a Saturday at 8:30 in the morning. There were only a few other diners at the time but I'm sure it gets packed later on, as I'm sure everyone wants to sleep in on the weekends. I had the pastrami sandwich and upgraded to disco fries. It wasn't bad overall. Of course, it's not going to be the best pastrami sandwich, but it'll do in a pinch. I'd probably come back and check out some other menu items. The décor in the diner was very cute and had vintage vibes, but still felt clean and comfortable.

I don't often go to diners - but this one was great. Fun interior decor with Elvis Presley pictures. You felt like you got transported back in time! The menu was large and had a little of everything. I ordered pineapple pancakes (never had before) and was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed them. They were big and very filling. I ended up taking some home. Wasn't a huge fan of the coconut flakes, but still good. Staff was kind and helpful as well.

The place was extremely cool, nostalgic and clean and in order. Our waitress was very nice and attentive to our needs. I ordered a basic hamburger and cheese fries with a side of coke. Kind of wish the cheese wasn't plopped onto the fries. Burger was good, fries were good but "cheese fries" it was not. I'll come back, they had a few sweet shakes I would like to try and other things on the menu.

6/22/24 Friends from out of town came for a visit and they chose a hotel near the American Dream. We chose this diner as it was between us and their hotel. The decorations are so fun to look at! Like a 50's diner hehehe Salmon Benedict - was ok Eggs Benedict XVI - was ok Our friends had burgers which they loved. We were talking so I wasn't paying attention to the menu so I just order a standard diner item. Would like to try other items another time.

Love the decor and vibes here! We ordered the mixed fruit pancakes and the western omelette. The mixed fruit pancakes came with 3 very large pancakes and a good amount of fruits. Portion size was very generous. The omelette came with toast and two hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were crispy and delicious. The toast was buttered perfectly. Staff was friendly and attentive. Solid diner spot. Would recommend!

Terrific breakfast/lunch spot! Although they don't have the extensive menu of the typical NJ diner, there are plenty of choices and all are executed to perfection. Omelets and pancake portions are huge. Burgers are spot on, always cooked perfectly. The decor is 50's diner chic, very comfortable and inviting. Always a happy song playing to hum along to. Staff is friendly and efficient. Definitely worth a visit

Now they are staying open to serve dinner until 9! So excited as so many great places like this no longer exist! Stopped in for dinner tonight. The joint was jumping which we were happy to see. Specials looked great! We had had a long day at the lake so we're glad to just have someone else cook for us. My daughter had spaghetti from the kids menu. I had The Marilyn Monroe Sandwich which was a delicious hearty chicken parm sandwich with fries and coleslaw. I loved that the chicken was thin and crispy and the marinara didn't drown the sandwich! Enjoyed an extra side of marinara to dip the sandwich in as needed. The fries were crisp and hot. And as usual the wait staff was super friendly and attentive. Loving this place more each time we go!

My kids and I went to check out the Wallington Diner for lunch on a hot Friday afternoon. I've been wanting to check out this place since they opened. I knew they had a fun 50's theme inside and they didn't disappoint. The bright colors, old timey bar with barstools, the jukebox, the cool mural on the back wall, and the signs make it so much fun to eat inside and just check everything out. My kids ordered off the kid menu (obviously). My daughter got the mozzarella sticks and my son ordered the hotdog and fries. I ordered the Vermont Omelette made with egg whites and with a side of tater tots and wheat toast. Our food came out pretty quickly and we all dug right in. My daughter enjoyed her mozzarella sticks a lot. My son was unfortunately not a fan of the hotdog but ate all the fries. I didn't really think the hotdog was that appealing either so I don't blame him. I did enjoy my meal though. The Vermont omelette had apples, sausage, and cheddar cheese in it and it was a pretty delicious meal. The omelette was pretty big and I couldn't finish the whole thing. The tater tots were good and my kids so kindly took some from me so I didn't eat them all. Our waitress was very friendly. At the end of our meal she brought our check and my daughter reminded me that the kids meals come with a jello or chocolate pudding. I waved down our waitress to ask for a jello for my daughter - they only had raspberry flavor but she liked it. I paid up front and when we were leaving my kids were handed a lollipop each and they were so very happy about that. Overall I had a good meal at the Wallington Diner. I would definitely like to return to try other options.

For the hungry one I do recommend the meat lover breakfast. Super good

For the hungry man I do recommend the waffles, and the meat lovers plate. The service was fenomenal and great place to listen oldies from 1950-1960's.

The menu requires some knowledge of Polish food with some offerings being familiar while others may require some exploration. We were two couples dining on a weekday evening. Two people had plum stuffed pork which was very good, one had the pork loin and broccoli which was also good. I had the schnitzel which was not to be confused with German or Austrian schnitzel. It was two small loaves of a mix of beef and pork which resembled more of a meatloaf. It was a bit bland but satisfactory. It came with mashed potatoes. Several sides of Polish sauerkraut, beet salad, and what appeared to be a fermented carrot salad were included. We shared an appetizer platter of pirogies, kielbasa, and something I couldn't identify, but it was all very tasty. This is not BYOB because they have a full bar. The ambiance has a Bavarian flavor and is squeaky clean and neat. The food is hearty and flavorful im what I would describe as peasant style. The service is excellent as they seem to want you to have a good experience. Reservations are required on weekends.

It was my time to expose my friend group to Polish cuisine, and boy is this the place to do it! We were immediately greeted by the authentic decor, furniture, and outdoor space of a Highlander restaurant in Poland. The furniture is hand carved and there are outfits and decorations straight from the motherland. You feel like you are in your grandmother's home- and in a good way! There is something to look at and admire around every corner. Our waitress was so welcoming and patient while we decided on a variety of orders. She greeted us with a warm smile, gave us plenty of time to select from the menu, and provided top-notch recommendations. The food - don't get me started. This is as good, if not better, than what I eat in Poland. We tried soups (the żurek- sour, but not overwhelming, well presented in a bread bowl, and with delicious boiled egg- and the red barszcz- a tangy beet soup), a "sampler platter" with gołąbki (mini stuffed cabbage with tomato sauce for pouring to your liking), and grilled kielbasa. We also opted for the rye bread, lard, and half sour pickles. Sounds odd, but don't knock it till you try it! It's not what you expect, very rich and filling. For my entrée, I had a thinly sliced breaded pork cutlet with mashed potatoes on the side and "mizeria" (Polish side salad with cucumbers, dill, and sour cream). It was so fresh and light. I loved it because it reminded me of summers with my grandma. The drinks were colorful, well presented, and strong! Definitely worth their $12+ price. Overall, this spot is a hit. There is plenty of parking on the street or across the street at the library. Everything from the service, ambiance, presentation, to the freshness and taste of the food was top-notch. This is the spot to visit if you want real Polish food. We will be coming back!

Unfortunately, this experience didn't fully reflect the quality I've come to expect. A few of our dishes really missed the mark. The lobster mac & cheese special was especially disappointing, I couldn't find a single chunk of lobster. It was made with cheddar cheese and even had tomato in it, which made the overall combination taste off and fairly bland. We actually took the gnocchi home so I could take a closer look, and there truly was no visible lobster, if anything, it may have been just a crumble that you couldn't even appreciate, which defeats the purpose of a lobster mac & cheese. The steak sandwich ordered medium came out overcooked and with a lot of fat making it hard to enjoy removing fat as you eat it and the Cuban sandwich was quite dry. On a positive note, my quinoa chicken bowl was good, and my boyfriend breakfast sandwich as always was great. Our waiter was super nice, and the ambience is always comfortable and inviting. I'm sharing this feedback with the intention of helping, as this has always been a go-to spot for me, and I look forward to continuing to have the great experiences I know you're capable of delivering. One more thing, please bring back the original kale salad. Your new menu lists a new version that changes the whole thing. Including a picture of the original to refresh your memory from 2 years ago. Thank you!
