Nice little neighborhood park. Tends to be pretty empty most of the time, and all the other dogs/dog parents we have met were great. There are a couple of poop bag stations, but no water for the dogs, so bring your own. Also, the picket fence is cute, but has HUGE gaps. If you have a dog who is smaller and a runner, or larger and a jumper, then you don't want to go here. It's the main reason we don't often-when we have foster dogs, we just don't trust them to not take off. But when it is just our two, this is a great option for some quick off leash time. read more

I love this dog park! It's a little out of the way for me, but I don't mind making the trip on nice weekend afternoons. The dog park is just a large grassy field surrounded by a white picket fence. It's one of the few parks that is just grass without any muddy areas, cement, turf, or mulch. I usually bring a couple of tennis balls with me and play fetch until my pup is tired. There's usually a pretty big crowd here on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, and everybody is good about watching and picking up after their dogs (I actually haven't seen any mysterious poops lying around). There are lots of shady areas along the perimeter, and two sets of benches. I do wish there were a lot more benches so that everybody could sit down and socialize more. The park itself has water bowls, but there is no source of running water, so make sure to bring some for your pups. Also, I wouldn't recommend bringing small dogs or dogs who are escape artists, as it's pretty easy for the smaller dogs to slip through the space under the fence, especially if there's a squirrel taunting them from the outside! read more

As a downtown resident, this is the nicest dog park in the area. This park is friendly for dogs of all ages and sizes. There is plenty of parking and shaded areas for dog owners. It seems that the regulars are always friendly and responsible pet owners. I've come here on random days and random times, my overall experience is the same. The only downside is, there is no running water. Bring your own water. read more

Lovely dog park situated near a quiet residential neighborhood. Parking's right by the park and convenient. The grassy park is enclosed with a white picket fence, adding an element charm to the park. Trees on the side provide shade when you need a break from the sun. I brought my dog and my sister's dog, and both had a blast, running around with other dogs and occasionally running back to hang with me. This park is so nice for dog owners. I don't have a dog now but have in the past and would of lived this park for them. It's very pet friendly even for the small dogs. And it have plenty of sitting for the owners and place to play. I'm sure you will enjoy all the open space and the big Oak trees. Give it a try. read more

A standard, neighborhood dog park. The grass here is well maintained, there always seem to be a steady flow of dogs and there is a private parking lot for all the pet owners. There isn't anything particularly outstanding about this park but it is a nice little oasis for pups living downtown. The only negative to Meadows Foundation dog park is that in several areas of the park the fence doesnt meat the ground and certain sized dogs can get out easily. This is scary considering the park is located downtown and there are always cars going by. Other than that, I just wish there was a separate areas for the smaller dogs to play as this tends to be a "big dog" park. read more

We really like this dog park. It's very clean, grass is really soft, enough shade (depending on time of day) and LOTS of dogs for playtime around 5pm. We are from MN and are only in Dallas for a little bit because my boyfriend is working down here at the moment so while he's at work, the boys and I walk down there twice a day. Around 5pm there are about 25 dogs there running around playing at once so the boys get a lot of exercise. I've only seen one fight since I've been there but the guy came with 5 dogs and was clearly not able to pay attention to them all at the same time. Only negative point is there is kind of a lot of poop that people don't pick up and the grass stays pretty damp for awhile after it rains. read more

Went to this park on a Friday thinking "it's Friday, there will definitely be people there!" but there wasn't. We literally drove into the parking lot to check the scene and immediately left. It was so empty I was able to notice how patchy the grass is. The small dog side was significantly smaller than the big dog side. And I may have overlooked them but I didn't see any available water fountains. There appears to be decent available parking and many doggy bag/trash stands available but of course, it wasn't enough to make us stay. It's located in a cute little area that I'm sure would be enhanced with more of a crowd but until we're in the area again and see for ourselves, I'll have to settle my review based on my short encounter! read more

I've heard good things about this dog park so I decided to try it out. Im sure I will try it out again but there was a dog that was very annoying and doesn't know limits. The parent didn't seem to care so I decided to leave because you could easily tell my dog was annoyed and was letting the other dog know he was tired of playing with him. read more

Perfect. I love this place. Close to deep ellum/uptown/ and downtown it is a great location that is easily accessible in all directions. Plenty of parking!! Parking lot and easy to find street parking along the side of the park. The best part... Its clean. Literally the cleanest park in town. People seem to pick up after their dogs here more than others. Additionally, most of the time, the dogs are not aggressive here. Very friendly space. Average amount of dogs there at one time is 3 to 5 on weekdays and 10 to 15 on weekends. Great place for midsize and large dogs. Not great for small dogs. Note: bring water for your pup on hot summer days it's not always available. read more

Cute park. Nice little neighborhood. I have been three times now with my pup and have experienced only nice dogs (and their people) at this park. Few negatives: 1. The cute little white picket fence surrounding the park doesn't meet the ground. So, my escape artist got out when he was bored. 2. Bring your own water. No fountains here! 3. They water the grass Sundays and Thursdays, regardless of it needs it or not. First time we came, the ground was soooo muddy and I had just gotten my dog bathed. This dog park is a wonderful hidden secret in East Dallas. Sure, it isn't as large as White Rock, but the quality of the park definitely is higher. The grounds are well kept and the grass is an emerald green, but the best part has to be the owners that frequent this dog park. Maybe the somewhat hidden nature of the park keeps it under the radar only for the savviest dog owners to seek out; nevertheless I have never seen such a tame dog park. It was doggy utopia. Every owner shared the interest if seeing their canine friend happy, running free, and playing well with others. All breeds are welcome, but the dogs all seem to be more behaved than other parks. The only downside was the fence that borders the park. There is a big enough space between the fence and the ground for smaller cutie patooties to sneak under. As long as you keep an eye out, you should be good. Can't wait to return with my pups! read more

I used to live right down the street from this dog park. It is a really nice green space for the dogs to run around, but there are, as some other reviewers have pointed out, a relatively large proportion of big dogs here, and also unfortunately some owners who don't attend to their pups, resulting in poop that isn't picked up all over the place and some scuffles between dogs. As with all dog parks, the fenced in area is basically a giant toilet for dogs, but for some strange reason folks who frequent this park seem to think it's appropriate to just plop down and lay on the grass. Gross. I just watched a dog piss right where you're setting up a picnic. Stop! The fence doesn't extend all the way to the ground in all corners of the park, so if you have a little or squishy escape dog, be vigilant. There are at least two spots where your dog can easily squeeze out under the fence and bolt down the street. read more

If my regular dog park wasn't being renovated, I never would've ventured to this park and what a shame that would've been! It's nestled near downtown, surrounded by non-profits in cutesy old houses. I was there on a Wednesday afternoon around six and there was plenty of parking - always a plus! A lot of my dog park friends had told me the fence here was really short, but that doesn't really seem to be the problem (it's about four feet high) - in some parts of the park, as mentioned by other reviews, the fence doesn't meet the ground. I have seen a dog jump over the fence, too, to be fair - but he seemed to be a regular and that's his "thing" so okay. Just watch your dog (duh!), especially if you have a little escape artist or a kangaroo. I can't give this park five stars thought because there are a total of TWO benches. I like to walk around the perimeter of the park while my dog plays, but I would at least like the OPTION to sit down if I wanted to. That's not going to happen here. You also have to bring your own water, but they do have some nice stainless steel bowls. Neither of these things is enough to keep me from taking advantage of this little gem, but something to be aware of if you can't stand for long periods of time, and to remember to bring water for your pooch! read more

Okay, so three stars because if your dog is really under 40 lbs, or an escape artist, they will manage to crawl under certain areas of the fence. There are sections of the fenced area that have about a gap of about 4-8 inches of space. Honestly, the park is nice with lots of water bowls, and great for a true medium/large to large dog. But coming with my corgi and labrador (4 months) puppies, they both managed at different times to get loose. Needless to say, that ended their first dog park adventure, there. I would really just caution those with with small to small/medium sized dogs. But other than those concerns, I wish the fence went all the way to the ground because it really is a great space to allow them to roam, run, meet other dogs, and people. read more

I've just started coming here with my boy and I greatly appreciate the environment. All owners are friendly, and it is a mixture of all sizes of dogs! It's a large space, but fenced in so no worries. Random bowls and gallons of water lay around for the dogs to take care of business themselves and a gift for the forgetful owner. I especially love this park because unlike most other parks, owners STAY after 7pm, so for the late parent it's favorable. read more

The fence around the park is a picket fence attached to rails. This makes it pretty easy for a curious small dog to scoot under the fence in certain areas. We loved this place! Great open, kept-up space for my 3 pooches to run! They all had a good time! We went at 9am and we were the only ones, but in no time other dogs started showing up. No running water, so bring water for your dog. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is the fence. The other reviews are true about the fence not going all the way to the ground. If you have a small dog then it might get out. We witness d a squirrel running in the dog area and a dog started chasing it. The squirrel went under the fence and so did the dog. The owner had to rush to the other side of the park to make sure her dog didn't get into the street. Luckily, the squirrel ran up a tree right by the fence and the dog stayed close by those trees. read more

Be WARNED. This park does not require dogs to be neutered OR vaccinated. There are many animals in heat that are there frequently. This causes an overload to some neutered dogs and results in horrible fights. My dog was attacked by an 120 lb German Shepherd that was not fixed. Because of it, My dog and the German Shepherd were quarantined for 10 days because a woman who never should have interfered stuck her hand in the German Shepherds mouth to be "helpful". My dog was holding down the German Shepherd by his ear. She wasn't even the owner. 8 police cars, 16 officers, animal control, and my VACCINATED, NEUTERED dog was kept locked in a cage for 10 days with no walks and had to pee and poop in his cage. This dog park is great. So much room for dogs of all sizes to run and the park is in an "L" shape. Its in a great neighborhood with bordering Victorian houses and is outlined in a white picket fence that actually looks like it rises about 6" from the ground in most places, hence the 4 star review. I've been taking my pup here for over a year now. There are more pros than cons at this dog park. I'm not sure if it's the city that maintains the upkeep at the dog park, but they do a great job. They even allow moments to close the park and let the grass come back and grow. If the fence is broken, they usually fix it right away. There is another park adjacent to it, and I've been able to take my dog there to catch the Frisbee and it gives him a lot of room to run. Now if certain owners would be great about picking up after their dogs, the place would be perfect. It seems there are still a lot of owners in Dallas who thing dog poo magically disappears. It's a great park tucked away in the midst of the city, with awesome shade in the summer and great place to meet and socialize with other dogs and their owners. read more

Great neighbourhood bark park. One play area for all sizes. No pool (thankfully) and the grass is in good shape. Owners are responsible and clean up after their dogs. Loses a star because you need to bring your own water and bowl if you don't want to use the shared metal bowl. This dog park is super nice - well maintained, quiet, and pretty. I just don't understand why they would build a fence for a dog park with a big space between the ground and the bottom of the fence. My dog is by no means a "toy" variety, and she can easily slip under the fence in places and run into the street, which kind of negates the whole point of taking her somewhere she can go off-leash. It is really a bummer, because it is such a nice place otherwise - easily 5 stars if not for the fence. Big dogs shouldn't have a problem. read more

This is a great dog park - lots of green grass! A lot of dog parks I have experienced in the area have a lot of dirt mud and wood chips. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because there are several places along the fence where smaller dogs can get out & it's low enough larger dogs could jump over. I have a large dog & never had any problems , but today when I took my other, a puppy( about 6 months 45lb) he escaped under the fence into the parking lot! I would recommend checking it out though! Great little neighborhood dog park. The grass is well kept. I'd give it 5-Stars if whoever maintains it would spray for pests and wasps.

The fence doesn't go all the way down to the ground so be careful make sure your dog cannot get underneath the fence my yellow lab is 55 pounds and she went right underneath the fence and was in the street before I knew it. Other than that it's a great park. read more

meadows has become our fav dog park. the grass is lush so it's nice for the dogs. plenty of parking and easy to find. seems to have more dogs that are 40 lbs + so it's perfect for our dog since she likes playing with the big dogs. we remember to bring water for the dogs since there isnt' a water hole for them but no complaints. ps the gap in the gate is a problem since our dog was chasing one and it ran away under the gate and went ourside the park. read more
