Great food, very popular place, prices reasonable, staff friendly ...maybe the only restaurant open in February?

Came here due to the good Yelp reviews and wow - even better than our highest expectations. Cheese curds, pretzel, Caesar salad and two pizzas - all of it five stars. And they'd get five stars even if in Los Angeles, terrific meal. Only issue (if you can call it that) is that the place can get jammed up when multiple cruise ships are in town, so make sure you allow for enough time. What a great surprise, no idea if / when I'll get back to Sitka, but this spot gives us a great reason to return! read more

Well.... We were hyping Mean Queen to friends because they started to serve breakfast - yay! We had eaten there once before and it was great so yes, let's go today... well, NO bueno. I ordered runny pouched eggs - my 2 friends got their breakfast and they were halfway through theirs and I still hadn't gotten mine. I went up and asked as it was coming out. But! Eggs were hard! Absolutely no runny yolk. I took them to the man in charge behind the bar and asked to exchange them for scrambled or anything else - he was very dismissive and rude and said breakfast was over and they couldn't do any more eggs. It was 11:04; IF I had gotten bfast with my mates, it would have been before 11... sheesh. (He did offer to take eggs off my bill). Good hash browns - but toast was dry, not even buttered and no butter on the table (and I had to ask for jam). Fortunately, our server Jessica was understanding and apologetic. Pizza was great, however the pizza took well over an hour and the waiter didn't communicate this to us. If you only have a few hours in Stika, I don't recommend dining here. Great view by the windows, but hunger pains obscured this delight. read more

Service was so slow. We waited 1 1/2 hrs for the smallest deep dish pizza i have ever seen. We ordered a hawaiian pizza and the waitress came by 20mins later to say that they don't have pineapple so she asked for a replacement and we asked her how long it'll take and she said abt 20-25mins. And so we waited again for another half an hour and still our food didn't came out. The other tables who came after us were all getting their food but ours wasn't coming out. Great sports bar! We were here on a Sunday and there weren't many options. We popped in for lunch and loved their pizza!! We got 1/2 classic Queen and 1/2 princess something! It was so good, nice thin crust and everything was balanced. Good drinks too and we loved our bartender, Rian! Thank you! read more

It is one of the only places that opens late in town. I got in at 10:30pm flight and went straight here. It was busy, we ordered the food maybe less than 30 minutes we received our order. Even though it was busy, the food came out quick. The Fortress of Pigs pizza was my favorite. The crunch of the bacon was delicious. read more

This boarder line 3-4 stars. All pizzas are then crust. It's not the best pizza I ever had but after a long day of fishing it was good. I ordered also the spinach half salad. They are big enough for two people. We also ordered 2 other large pizzas. Everyone thought they were good Well. As a appetizer we started off with hot wings. Incredible view with good food and good service. Mostly pizzas. We had the Princess pizza which had checked, artichoke, pesto, and feta. We split a side wedge salad. It was okay. Pizza was good. Plus they had a Midnight Sun Girl's Club beer which was outstanding. read more

I came in at 630 pm before dinner rush. 10 mins before I saw table service. The server brought water and a menu. I ordered the Caesar salad, pickle fries and the Queen Bee pizza. The salad dressing was nice but it totally drowned the plate. Chef here has to learn more is not always better. The pickle fries were pretty good, and the dipping sauce was excellent with lots of dill flavor. That was the highlight of the meal. The pizza was average, with the main detraction being the pizza dough. It was rather tasteless. The service was also below average and I was never offered anything but water to drink. I would imagine there are better places in Sitka to spend a few bucks on dinner. read more

Sitka shuts down at 5 when the tourists leave and they roll up the sidewalks. This is where you want to go! Had a nice margarita pizza and a greek salad. The salad was appreciated as Alaska needs more vegetables. Had the 'shrub', which is a digestive drink with vinegar and fruit juice. Also, beers on tap. You won't be able to get in when the town is flooded with cruise people. read more

Had a wonderful breakfast while visiting Sitka. I have a special affinity for Queens, especially mean ones!

We had the breakfast tacos and breakfast sandwich which were good, but I came here to recommend the Alaskan fry bread with their homemade multi berry jam. That was phenomenal! read more

The dock shuttle bus driver recommended this place for lunch and we are so glad we tried it! The pizza was fantastic! They have a very wide selection and everything was very tasty. There aren't a ton of options that are easy to get to during a cruise stop in Sitka but we really loved this place and it wasn't too expensive. service was great too. Friendly staff but the pizza crust was so burnt, which was a real bummer. I'd give them another try maybe if I lived in Sitka but considering it was kind of expensive and the food was so so and I was just visiting over night I'm not sure I'd go back. read more

I've heard so much about this place and it was finally time to try it out. I'm a huge wings fan but I'm also pretty particular about my wings so it's always a risk ordering them at a new place. I ordered the spicy Korean wings and they were OK. I didn't love the texture but the flavor was pretty good. I had the wedge salad and it was excellent, lots of bacon and good flavor. I ordered the princess Stromboli to go and ate it the next night with my husband. It was pretty good but not mind blowing. I'm not a huge Stromboli lover but I definitely wanted to try it. I think next time I would probably just have a regular pizza and definitely the salad again. Our server was wonderful, kind and attentive. It wasn't a five-star experience but it was pretty good overall read more

Fantastic pizza, salads and appetizers. Extensive beer selections, great atmosphere and excellent service

We loved the pizza and the staff. The view was also awesome. After eating we tried to get a taxi to the Raptor Center but no one ever showed up so the owner drove us over there! Excellent service, busy, friendly patrons and great pizza! Cool view of the harbor. A must when visiting Sitka

Bartender was incredibly friendly. Fried ravioli was a solid dish, as was the Stromboli. Drinks were well made...only real issue I had was that they were out of like...60% of what was listed on the menu. I haven't had the pizza there so I can't comment on that at this point, I hope to try it before my trip is over. I've heard several people say different things about the pizza, one said they don't like it because it is thin crust...well I love thin crust!! So don't rely on hearsay. I'm giving it a 3 star right now, but a good pizza there, and maybe a second bartender (not because the first was bad, just a big area for one bartender at a place that serves food) could shoot that score up quickly. Do not come here if you are on a cruise. Our order took over 1.5 hours and they "forgot" to make my pizza. When I finally asked about it, he then told me the kitchen had missed it. There were no apologies and no action to show any regret on their part. It was almost as if he was annoyed I asked where my meal was an hour and a half after I ordered it. I don't know if it was an off night because of the cruise ships that day, or if this is how it always is. Ordered a pizza and salad for pickup. They quoted me 20 minutes, I got there 30 minutes later and it still wasn't ready. They said "we are putting it together right now." Now, I have eaten at some places where the food is definitely worth the wait. This was not that place. I grabbed my food, drove 2 minutes back to my hotel room and the pizza was cold. As I got out of the car to pick up our to-do order, my daughter said, "don't order a drink while you wait for our food mom!" Once I climbed the stairs and saw the place, I understood, it's just so tempting lol! We got the queen's crown, fried ravioli and a spinach salad. We stopped in for a late lunch. We decided to order the deep dish pizza. It was a 45 minute wait on the deep dish but it was worth it. The waitress informed us prior to placing the order that it would take a little longer. It was fine with us because we had a few beers sitting next to the window looking out at the water.
