If you want to know what it's like to walk up to heaven, go to Meany's. We spotted this place on the way into the village and knew it would be a must stop. After almost eating my entire breakfast, we walked our happy selves over for some dessert because that's what you do on vacation. The choices are: powdered sugar, cinnamon and sugar, Bavarian cream, chocolate delight, glazed goodie, apple pie, peanut butter cup, chocolate coconut and strawberry cheesecake; as if any could be bad! We went with the chocolate delight because what's better than donuts, hot chocolate fudge and rainbow sprinkles? I'll wait. To.die for. So good in fact that we stopped in our tracks in the middle of the parking lot to eat them. Six, hot, deep fried, chocolate pieces of heaven. There is no reason to go anywhere else in Florida for donuts or coffee. Chelsea and Kelly were awesome and so helpful in my decision making process. Love Mr. Little Donut Fryer Contraption On The Counter making up fresh batches. Score! But now I'll digress with all the five-star hoopla and cut to my critique of where they fail. As a peanut butter/chocolate freak, I was left wanting for their version which tasted just like a thick glob of peanut butter with a wimpy hint of chocolate. After one bite, I felt like a dog, air licking the sky trying to clean off my tongue. You expect to have a chocolate/peanut butter flavor collision which just doesn't happen. There is no smooth or familiar candy-experience; the "Reese's thing" you think you will taste, doesn't happen--and it's a major letdown. Why not just crumble up the real thing and sprinkle that liberally instead? That would be hard to mess up. The Boston Cream ones were beyond boring, with what I can only call tasteless chocolate and "custard" from a can. It was pretty bad. My four kids who have sugar addictions didn't even care to finish the 3 varieties we had. Overall, it's a great little concept in a sweet spot and I think it could really fly. However, they need to use better quality ingredients so they actually taste better than they look. read more

We were looking for donuts that did not start with the word dunkin in front of them, and boy are we glad we did. Freshly made right in front of you, these hit all the right touch points, god they're delish. They have a limited selection, but the selections are classic. The powdered sugar donuts tasted like a fresh funnel cake from the fair and the glazed just melt in your mouth. Walked by this place and didn't think much of it, but knew we were missing something when there was a long line past 9pm for donuts...they did not disappoint!! Donuts are mini and come in 6's. We got the chocolate coconut and cinnamon sugar. Delicious! Each one is made to order and comes piping hot. Perfect stop while you're waiting for the trolley. Eat them while they're fresh! Wow! My boyfriend and I stopped at this cute ice cream and donut stand while visiting Siesta Key. What a fun concept! I think this a quick and easy place to grab a sweet treat in Siesta Key. Krispie Kreme should lend their "Hot Donuts NOW" sign to this place, because these mini baby bite-sized donuts are hot, fresh, and made to order for you with a fun machine which looks like a tiny donut factory working before your very eyes. I got 6 of the basic powdered sugar donuts for something like $2.50, but if you need a royal sugar rush, feel free to up the ante with some chocolate and peanut butter. They remind me of little bite-sized funnel cakes. Best part: no county fairs or freaky carnies to deal with. read more

Wholly turd these donuts are amazing! I had the cinnamon sugar and bavarian cream donuts. They are only a few bucks and the service was friendly. You cam definitely get a sugar overload cuz these little donuts are crack. I highly recommend if your visiting siesta key. read more

I don't think it's possible to hate mini-donuts. Though it's probably not healthy to eat them everyday, you should go here at least once! The donuts are fresh and always warm. It doesn't get much better than that. They also sell iced coffee all day which is great since most breakfast places in the village close early. read more

Simple but good. They use the same donut maker you have seen at many festivals, but they have a few ways to fix them up to make them even better. You can watch your donuts float their way down to you and pick the style you like. We stuck with the basics, 1 bag of powdered sugar and 1 of cinnamon and sugar. Hard to mess up a donut, they were good that night and the next morning. Staff was very friendly. They also have soft serve ice cream which is a must too. We like them enough to make a point and get more the next day. Wish they were open a little later, make for a good sweet treat after dinner. read more

Mini Doughnuts!!!! We stopped by this place while vacationing in Siesta Key and saw a bunch of people lined up outside this tiny little place. Needless to say, the first dozen bag didn't make it around the corner. The funny thing is the guy at the shop told me I made it farther than most before returning for a second bag. I ordered the Bavaria Cream with 6 mini donuts. I am not a dessert person, and never order sweets. I inhaled them in about 3 minutes! They were warm, melted in my mouth, yet had a crispy exterior. My friend said it was a must stop and she was right! We ate mini donuts every morning while on vacation. Super addicting! The chocolate ones were a favorite but we generally stuck to the cinnamon and sugar. We also did a hand spun chocolate shake at night which was wonderful.
