I wish I could leave 0 stars. I am very disappointed with my cake. I ordered a pj mask cake for my son's 4th birthday, we were provided with a sketch of how it would look and when my husband arrived home with the cake I was very upset and mad. Not what we paid for. This place is very expensive, look at just how the buildings look. Not what was presented to us. They charged $185 for this cake!!!!!!!!!! So so so so disappointed. Will never go back. Heb cakes are better.

What an amazing experience. M.E.B. Cakes catered to all my needs and relieved one of the bigger concerns I had while starting the wedding planning process. We had a couple of meetings to discuss design and they brought our vision to life. First meeting was for brainstorming and the second was to look at some sketches. We decided on some flavors and then didn't worry about it again. Day of the wedding was worry free. They delivered the cakes and set them up and we were oh so happy with the presentation. Only thing left to do was to eat it and we got so many compliments on the flavors. Overall a wonderful experience. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Thank you M.E.B. Cakes.

Placed an order for a number cake and for a retirement. The initial customer service was 5 star. I went to pick up my order during the posted hours of operation and the establishment was closed and no note on the door. I called the number posted on the door and the owner stated they were about 2 minutes away. I do understand things happen beyond our control. They arrive, I go in and was told the cake was not ready (order was placed 6 days prior) and pickup date was stated). The wait for arrival to waiting on my order was approximately 35 minutes. I was very pleased with the cookies, but the cake was a total disappointment. The cake lacked moistness and the decorating on the sides lacked professional quality. I wasn't offered a discount for my inconvenience and when I inquired about a discount, I was disregarded. The order was over $200.00. Taking my bakery business elsewhere.

Where should I start first...MEB Cakes is a privately owned business that has been around for 11 years...6 years at this current location...I was on the hunt of finding a birthday cake for my wife...and the place I liked was closed...due to Covid 19...and the other surrounding places near my home were price gouging (just my opinion)...so I turned to Yelp...great idea right...I started looking for bakeries outside of my area...and low and behold...I came across MEB Cakes...I called the guy and ask if he had birthday cakes and he said sure...but they close at 4pm...I made it there a little after 3pm...and noticed all the beautiful cakes they had on display...the gentleman described each cake to me...and I choose a beauty...he was able to put happy birthday and my wife's name on a banner...and it looked amazing...when we got home and cut it...the flavors were perfect...the cake was moist...and the icing was smooth and lite...all for $25.00...man you can't beat that at all...MEB Cakes has a new permanent customer...and you should be one too

I absolutely love the cake they made for me for my friend birthday it was so beautiful and taste amazing most definitely will be coming back for another!!!

Simply put....wow! Miguel and the team at MEB cakes did an extraordinary job! My daughter loves the movie "Trolls" and so we themed her birthday party after the famous pink haired character, Poppy. Not only did it look great, but it tasted great too. Highly recommend Miguel and his team over at MEB cakes.

Love this place and their work. Great customer service, very professional. I always order my cakes last minute (the day before lol) and they always come through for me. Highly recommend.

I needed a cake last minute for my wife's birthday, so I jumped on the yelp search and found this bakery. I called them upon business opening hours and spoke to a friendly guy named Miguel. I requested for a cake I can possibly pick up within an hour of placing my order. I asked if he could fix me up a cake which can serve at least 5 people, has vanilla and chocolate marbling, whipped cream frosting, some strawberry cream in the center, and pink flower designs. Miguel had an ideal right off the bat. I went to the bakery an hour after placing the order and was greeted by Miguel in person. This man understands that in order to proliferate a business, one must have good customer service. He emphasized that you may have the best baked things in your shop, but if not sold with the best attitude they will never leave the shelf. Miguel shared his experience of baking since he was a child and he seemed like a genuine stand up guy. Ultimately, my wife loved the cake. We finished our last piece of it three days later and it was still good. The breading was soft and fresh while the cream wasn't too sweet.

Spectacular cake! I cannot say enough how great service the cakes are in Both taste and presentation. The people go above and beyond to make sure customers are happy. The cakes are simply spectacular. If you're looking to wow your guest, I highly recommend you try this place for your next cake. Another bonus budget friendly, not too costly

Love this place! I was looking for a birthday cake for my little ones first birthday, and of course like any mom with a budget, I looked at multiple places, looked for quality, looks and price. They were very professional and worked with my budget, told me about payment plans, gave me a lot of different options, and even drew it out for me, so I had a visual idea. I didn't go with the payment plan , I paid it at once , I had a budget. They also gave me a little sample of the buttercream. And the individual that helped me was very understanding and patient. We had so many people from her birthday party asking where I got the cake, that it tasted really good....basically I would highly recommend this place, I already have. And I will definitely be ordering with them again. They won me over as a customer, great customer service an

My friend & I decided to check out this bakery because it was nearby. We were immediately greeted & asked if we had ever been here. The person who helped us was very informative & explained the different cake flavors, we finally decided on a vanilla de leche & a slice of chocolate flan cake. They gave us a complementary extra chocolate flan cake slice since it was our first time. Great customer service. Vanilla de leche the cake was moist & sweet but not overly sweet like other cakes. It was well balanced & delicious. Can't wait to try all the other flavors next time! Chocolate flan cake was a combination of sliced flan on top of chocolate cake, was extremely moist & delicious as well.

Best cake ever this is a family owned business and the customer service is amazing and very clean. My cake is always fresh and ready on time.

French style baguettes are perfect. The only problem is the pastries suffer from humidity of Houston and if not eaten fresh they can get soggy and lose their texture. I am referring to the mille fuille. The chocolate cake was really good and held up for a few days. I bought 4 baguettes, 4 mille fuille, 4 chocolate cakes and 2 boxes of mixed macaroons for $100. So not cheap but the flavor and presentation was nice. It's a must try in Houston. They do not suffer from a lack of business. So lines can be long. They are efficient however!! Bon appetit

What's nudged this place up to 5 stars for me is they have really improved their coffee game, specifically their quality of cappuccino's. Previously it seemed more of latte, but now to me its a legit Capp. Their choice of pastries hasn't changed, which gives you a good assortment of choices and they have added an additional barista or server which also is a nice touch for service. The only niggling items, parking can be tough, so you'll have to either walk a block or be quick to find a place close by. Regardless, definitely give this place a go to come for a pastry and coffee.

Inside you will also find French pastries, coffees and teas, gelato, milkshakes, sandwiches and macaroons. I felt the most interesting items were the French pastries as they are cute and tasty as well. Also, they plate the pastries nicely when you dine in as an added bonus. I tried the Chocolate Royale and the Ruby. Chocolate Royale - a petit chocolate mouse slice with flat chocolate panels along the sides. It is delicate and tasty. If you're a chocolate lover, this is definitely up your alley. Ruby - visually this looks like a strawberry Hershey kiss, with red powder on the exterior and a top piece of foil to resemble foil on the wrapper of a hershey kiss. Inside, it's filled with a strawberry cream and has a chocolate base. I just wish there was more chocolate in this one. They have plenty of seating inside as well as along the sidewalk. Inside you have the more fancy tables, whereas outside, they're more weather resistant and not as upscale in appearance. The soft drinks to drink along with your sweets are in a cold case along the hotel side of the space and you just take them to the register as you order. One of the most surprising things when you come here are the relatively affordable prices as you might expect them to be more for being a coffee shop attached to a 5-star hotel with a helipad.

I also heard great things about the mango mochi so we couldn't leave without those. Thankfully they still had some in stock. I heard they sell out quickly especially on weekends. Those also lived up to its hype. SO YUMMY! Tastes so fresh including the mangoes. My kiddo who LOVES mango anything loved them so much! My husband also got 2 savory pastries (I forgot what they were called and I forgot to take a picture) and those were yummy too. Perfectly flakey crust just like the egg tarts. We wanted to get sesame balls but they were sold out. Customer service was great. The guy that took our order was very nice. It was pretty busy but he moved through the line quickly. There's some seating inside if you want to eat there. Prices are very reasonable at $2 each for the mochi and egg tarts. The savory pastries were $3. It's located in a shared lot/area. Parking can be tight and limited on a busy weekend day but they have parking right out front for the Eck bakery customers. Also note that if you pay with card it's a 2.5% charge so cash is better if you have it. We didn't but we know now for future. We had a great experience here and will definitely be back. Next time we'll come earlier and get a bigger order and try their other offerings.

The $8 price point is a little hard to swallow, but worth trying at least once! Milk bread is soft and the brisket goes really great with sriracha. The hoisin was a tad too salty for me; I think it would work best if it had, in theme, the aromatics from actual pho, otherwise it's too heavy.
