This guy is definitely a hair artist. He is someone who will tell you what he thinks will look good on you. I asked him to cut off a couple of inches, but he refused because he thought I would look too much like a soccer mom lol. He pumped up the volume of the music and went straight to it. He offered snacks and beverages and really makes sure that the customer and client is comfortable. He is old-school in certain ways, but super endearing. Fast word to appointment day...I was so excited based on the initial consultation, and Natacha DID NOT DISAPPOINT. I was extremely pleased that she books appointments one person at time, so you don't feel like your waiting forever in between for others to get their hair done too. Natacha made the entire experience pleasant, talking to me about what she she was doing the entire time. Once she was done, I couldn't believe how F-ING AMAZING my hair looked! I thought it was up to me to decide whether or not I would like it? I did my research prior; I didn't show up ignorant, but I was treated like it. She then made it seem like the cost of the hair required was going to be a lot, as if that was a problem, which it wasn't. Didn't even matter since she already said she wasn't going to do it, but I was offended she thought money was an issue while knowing nothing about me. When discussing tape-ins, she said she doesn't offer maintenance on them because she can't charge what she feels she should. But she offers application of them...then what? Your client has to go elsewhere after that? Doesn't make sense. I was quite annoyed at that point and eager to leave. Because of this experience, I feared approaching other stylists for a sew in out of fear of rejection. I then saw another stylist and went with a technique I hated and wasted money on hair and services. Fed up, I contacted other stylists to do what I originally wanted. Luckily, I've found many amazing stylists who are more than willing to do my weave without hesitation or false assumptions. There is nothing wrong with my hair and no reason why I was told "no" other than Natacha's desire to think she knows more about me than I do. First let me start off with the appointment scheduling, Christelle (the hair dresser who runs this business) was not at all accommodating with scheduling the service. I wanted my hair done for my birthday and I told her this and she was not able to accommodate at all I was rudely told the dates that are already shown on her website. Then proceeded to tell me to just book online again in a very rude manner. So that's what I did and my appoint was at 6:30pm she then the morning of changes my appointment to 5pm. It was quite sooner than what I wanted but I just took the appointment anyhow since I didn't want my hair to be rushed being that she made the appointment sooner. I had a question about parking since my appointment was on Sunday, the email did not say instructions on parking for Sunday.I wanted to cancel my appointment even before I even showed up and was about ready to walk out once I got there. And when she was flat ironing my hair, she kept burning me with iron on my scalp multiple times and on my ear. Of course I jumped because the heat was very hot and I would expect that she knows what she's doing and paying attention. She would mumble a sort of apology of sorry but it's obvious that she was not Sorry because it kept happening! Finally getting to the end of my appointment as she's asking me how I want to style my hair I tell her that I want it with a part in the middle and straight down, bone straight. She keeps trying to tell me how I should be styling it with waves, and volume to it. She was giving me her unsolicited advice and telling me what would look better. What needs to be understood is me as the client I can have whatever hairstyle I want. I was not asking her for advice on what would look best to add volume to my hair, for example, I like my hair straight down with a part on the middle when I get it straightened. She kept trying to tell me that I need to get a trim on my hair, she always wants to insist on getting a trim when I have some length going on with my hair. I said no I can always do that next time, she was telling me how damaged my hair is, and when she had turned me around in the chair so that I could face the mirror, I was happy and smiling to myself that my hair was straightened, and that it would look very nice for my birthday, on the other hand she had on a stone, straight face, and Told me how damaged my hair is and how the style is not going to last long, and how I have so many dead ends on my hair and huge gaps that people will be able to notice! She totally damaged my confidence there once again, with the unsolicited advice! it was the rudest things I've ever heard a stylist say to me. I don't care what her opinions are, and what she thinks how my hair looks, there is no need to address things as such, and there is a nicer way to say things if she wants to add in her opinions. After that whole experience, I was just completely appalled with the stylist and I will never return here again! $150 for a silk press is quite outrageous, when, in all reality, it's not even a silk press, because my hair should be looking so smooth and look like glass, and I speak from experience because I've had other soak compresses done from other stylist. She's just washing my hair and blow drying it and going over it with a flat iron. That's something that I could even do at home. It's all just a huge scam and trying to add on hair trims to make more money, I'd never recommend this place to anyone! I will definitely tell all my friends and family to stay away from the stylist! She does not have good vibes, and it felt like a cloud of negative energy in that salon. When that should've been a fun experience for me getting my hair done for my birthday. But this was nothing like that. And when she said that I have the huge in my hair, she did not even care to ask or even see why that would be, because I've been experiencing health issues and with the medicines that I am on, it can cause hair loss. So that just definitely Left a bad taste in my mouth with the way that she was speaking to me acting like I have large gaps of hair missing! When I got a look in the mirror at home, and I had other people look at my hair, nobody noticed that at all, I definitely get more of a sense of not wanting the best for her client (me in particular) for some reason or another. Although I have been nothing but nice to her the whole time and do not understand why she was acting this way towards me. I don't understand how people are so happy with her attitude and her services, because I was very upset after I left! I would give negative stars if I could. Again, highly disappointed, and she should not make ASSUMPTIONS about hair loss that ONCE AGAIN WAS CAUSED FROM HEALTH CONCERNS I'VE BEEN BATTLING.
