Amazing matcha, love the parfait! I've gone multiple times and enjoyed it. The quality of the matcha is great :D My only complaint is the parfait ratio is inconsistent. I'm not sure why but my parfait always ends up looking different from my friends (I'm always missing some matcha cake or there's too much whipped cream and barely any topping ). I know not every parfait will be exactly the same, but every time I've gone the ratio and amount is completely different. Overall it was really good, but I hope next time the parfait comes out a little better! ':) read more

Can't believe i've been coming here for awhile and haven't left a review...theyre amazing! They really do have authentic strong matcha. And you can get it in their cakes, cookies, soft serve, tea, and coffee. I usually get the matcha float with strong matcha & vanilla soft serve. Then i top it off with matcha cake & waffle chips. It's the perfect balance of nutty, earthy, and sweet. The matcha cake is the perfect softness and flavor. You can't go wrong with anything here, but i'll admit i wasn't wild about their choco chip cookies. They had a heavy coconut flavor and i wasn't expecting it & didn't want it. But aside from that, yeah theyre bomb! I noticed they have partnered with flourbar bakery (i think thats the name) and WOW sign me up to try some of those treats!! read more

A great find in the Cerritos area! Got the level 1 ice blended matcha and loved the balance of sweetness and natural nutty-ness from the matcha. Definitely high quality stuff! Additionally appreciated the level of thoughtfulness they've put into their social distancing practices with a distanced register and take out procedure. The matcha strength here is no joke and is authentic Japanese quality. It has a yummy bitterness from the tea leaves but has smooth creaminess you'd expect from a solid scoop of real ice cream. No icy filler here. Level 5 was supposed to be limited edition for their anniversary but I did see it in pints on another occasion. -Menu: They have icecream, soft serve and other matcha themed desserts but I really want to try the matcha parfait! The presentation is nice too. -Price: Expect to pay $5 or more for any dessert here but quality comes at a price. This place was sooooo good! My friend recommended that I try this place out and as a matcha lover I just had to visit! I got the matcha latte (level 2) with regular 2% milk and it was so creamy and refreshing, definitely the best matcha I've tasted in a long time! We also shared the san miruku cake which was a matcha tres leches cake. The cake was moist and not that sweet, which was perfect. The matcha jelly is very muted in flavor and doesn't come through even the fat straw well. Matcha Strawberry Latte w oat milk: Tastes like real strawberry so it isn't very sweet and has a grainy texture. Pretty good but I didn't try much. The oat milk works really well w it and makes it slightly grainier so it works w the strawberry. The matcha is the strongest flavor in this. Matcha Lavender Latte: Lavender flavor is very subtle but it's good. Didn't try much of it. If you don't like strong lavender this is a good one to try because it's subtle! Coco matcha milk tea: Tastes like a split coconut and matcha latte. It's good but not my favorite because I don't really like coconut and matcha together. Matcha Cookies: Kind of tastes like it was made w coconuts. Very subtle sweet flavor. The texture is more like a crunchy cookie with some chew. I prefer softer cookies. Samples: Level 1 soft serve: so good! Not too bitter. Level 2 ice cream: good! I like this one a lot. It kind of tastes stronger than 3? But level 2 and 3 seemed pretty similar at least. Popped in yesterday on my way home. I love matcha but find that most places don't have the real deal, and their drinks are WAY too sweet. I had the level II matcha drink, which was perfect-not too sweet, you can def taste the matcha, and refreshing. Service was also great, the guy was really friendly and helpful. I ordered an iced strawberry matcha oat latte and a matcha espresso latte on my first and second visit. The iced strawberry matcha oat latte is perfectly balanced. The strawberry and matcha do not overpower each other and can easily be distinguished. The matcha is mixed well and seems to be of higher quality than some places where the only matcha flavor is bitterness. You can adjust the sweetness, but the default sweetness is probably equivalent to 50% at most boba shops. Unfortunately, the matcha espresso latte is bad in comparison to the strawberry matcha oat latte. I found the espresso way too astringent (potentially from too fine of a ground or too high temps) such that not even the condensed milk could mask the flavors. In short, I would return to Meccha Matcha for their matcha drinks but would avoid any drinks with espresso. read more

I arrived around 6pm and there were no customers. I ordered a matcha grade 2 in a cup. To my surprise, one soft serve was $7.17, not including tip. Though I understand ceremonial grade matcha can be pricey I was disappointed by the cost / serving size proportion. Love that there is a matcha place close to me. I like the level two matcha ice cream and my favorite drink is the Yuzu Matcha Latte. They put real bits of matcha into the drink. It's like having Korean yuja-cha and a matcha latte combined together. I would definitely recommend this to Yelpers out there. I've already told several friends in my neighborhood to try it. The service is also pretty good and helpful. The place is quaint, fairly small and located in a strip mall. Not hard to find but easy to miss if you're not paying attention.
