I decided to grab a late coffee and checked Yelp to pick a spot at random. I walked in and found it fairly busy, but there was still plenty of open seating. The menu is a bit on the pricey side--about $12 for a quesadilla. I ordered a hot drink but received it cold; however, the owner kindly offered me some small cream puffs, which were really good. The space itself is comfortable, with plenty of outlets available for charging laptops or phones. I ended up staying for about two hours. They're open late (until midnight), and the owner was very friendly and welcoming. Overall, I'd come back again--but probably not for the quesadilla.

So I was craving Affogato and the pictures here looked so good. The location has plenty of free parking and inside is spaced out and almost like a cafeteria. Clean, no issues. Affogato - 8/10. The espresso was strong and bitter but the ice cream was a good offset. The espresso really packed a punch and boy did I have a surge of energy afterwards. Maybe a squeeze of salted caramel sauce would have made this a 10/10. Hubbys English Toffee (modified to have regular chocolate instead of white chocolate) was a 1/10 sadly. It was very bland and he usually likes every coffee drink. I will go again to try another drink. Not sure hubby will be along for the ride though. Service was good; no issues.

    Latte?

Cafe Maji appears to be a great spot for students looking for a place to study while enjoying refreshments. The interior is very spacious, and there are plenty of tables with accessible outlets, making it convenient for working on a laptop for extended periods of time. The environment feels comfortable and well-suited for studying or casual meetings. That said, it may not be the best choice if you're specifically looking for high-quality espresso-based drinks. I stopped in hoping for a quick latte and ordered a hot cinnamon vanilla latte in the smallest size (16 oz). Unfortunately, the drink was quite weak, and I could barely taste the espresso. The foam was also thick, airy, and frothy and more characteristic of a superautomatic machine rather than the silky microfoam typically produced by a traditional steam wand and what you would expect in a latte. While the space itself is well-suited for studying, I can't personally recommend the lattes based on this experience.

Was about to have dinner at the restaurant next door when I saw this place and remembered coming across it on yelp! After dinner we stopped by and tried the iced banana latte w oat milk & hibiscus lemonade. I thought my latte was perfect, you could taste the banana. You could taste the coffee & the creaminess. The hibiscus lemonade was refreshing & kind of tasted like a pink lemonade. The service was fast. They had lovely music playing. It seems like a great place to study with all the seating they have. I will definitely be back!

I wanted to like this place but the quality of the coffee was just not there. My almond roca mocha tasted like burned coffee from a hotel plus, it was not sweet and I didn't taste or smell any almond roca flavor. The bathroom was not clean but the ambiance is great for students to study. Staff was nice and friendly .

I've had this on my list to try for a while now, and it was not exactly what I thought it would be... The place has that heavy smell of oil, which was kind of uncomfortable to sit in, although there were plenty of people there who were studying and such. The menu is funny at best and confusing at worst. A big part of me wants to really, really, with all my heart, fix it for them. We ordered a brownie Sunday, and the brownies were kind of like the store bought ones. Ice cream was good. It was pretty large, but nothing to write home about. Parking is easy, the service (older gentleman) was great. Seating is a hodgepodge of random chairs and tables. Interesting.

Artesia is one of those culinary areas that I need to spend more time in. There are a bunch of tasty treats along Artesia Blvd. Cafe Maji was a nice surprise with open space and a variety of caffeinated and non-caffeinated options. I ordered the Caramel Latte and Hibiscus (Jamaica) Organic Tea. Both were refreshing and I appreciated the latte not being too sweet. I'd definitely return for a Banana Matcha.

When you need to relax, turn off your brain from the non stop world. This is the go to spot. Relaxing music, relaxing environment, very kind service, and amazing food and drinks to help relax.

the worker here is so sweet and nice, he seems to be a one man show and is always quick & attentive i remember the last i came, it was really slow during summer season when not a lot of students are in there studying so we were the only customers after hours of opening.. he gave us (really good!) cream puffs for free which was so sweet. i'm so glad business is picking up again! it was pretty busy for a friday night when i went this time i got the red velvet cake and it was quite a large portion with basically 2 slices for $12 ish dollars! had to take it home but was still super good the next day :)

$9 each for 2 ice lattes. Highly expensive and did not taste good. It tastes like over processed sweetener and my coffee just did not taste fresh. The price and quality is not right. I really wanted to give this place a shot because it's been in my bookmark for a while. The space needs a deep clean. There's fold out chairs and fold out tables everywhere. Seems like a place to study? When I went in with my husband, the place was not welcoming, and had an awkward vibe. The place had no aesthetic. Just lots of tables. We got our drinks and left.

this establishment is already open and running smoothly, feel free to drop by!

Are y'all open for both indoor and outdoor seating, and is there wifi?

I went there last month and they were open for indoor dining. It's more takeout style and you can sit down indoors. I didn't see outdoor set up and yes there's wifi available.

Are the cute drinks back? Last time we went it was just regular lattes in paper cups.

    Nope. No cute drinks.

Hello, Is there outdoor or indoor dining available yet?

They do have limited outdoor. Not indoor.

For outdoor service, do they still serve it in a mug?

We serve our customer's drink in to go cups. Sorry.

They are closed New Year's Eve and New Year's Day

    Are there gluten free options?

I personally never saw gluten-free options. But I recommend asking since they have a variety of options. I just never have seen on their menu that it said gluten-free.

    Is there free WiFi?

Yes the WiFi is free! Just ask them for the password and they'll go ahead and give it to you.

    What vegan options are available?

For the a majority of the drinks, I saw options to substitute with Almond Milk or Soy milk :)

The workers are always nice and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. My absolute favorite is the Twin snow mountains. I'm obsessed with the vanilla frost -- it's like chewing ice that's perfectly flavored with vanilla. The vanilla and matcha ice cream blend together really well, and pairing that with the grass jelly and strawberries is chef's kiss. My only tiny wish is that the strawberries were cut into smaller pieces so I could get one in every bite, but honestly I'll gladly do it myself. I come here all the time just for this dessert. Parking: They're located in a high foot traffic plaza, so finding a parking spot can be difficult. Ambiance/Environment: They have a small space with a decent amount of indoor seating. The tables and seats were kept clean. There's cute decor from the ceiling as well. This is the type of spot where you'd bring your family with younger kids for something sweet, while the adults sit and talk. When we visited, my family and one other family pretty much took up all the tables lol. Service: There was only one worker behind the counter serving and making the drinks and desserts. She doesn't acknowledge anyone. It wasn't too busy, but throughput took a while since she was by herself. There's two kiosk to order from. You don't really interact with the worker until she brings out your order. Desserts & drinks: We ordered a mixture of almost everything. We noticed there were a few menu items that were out of stock. I ordered a mango pamelo sago, my sister ordered a brown sugar boba milk tea, my cousin ordered an americano, and my other cousin ordered a strawberry & cream eggette. I thought the mango pamelo sago was okay; the mango flavor was lacking except for the actual mangos. There was plenty of sago, but I thought this dessert was underwhelming. My sister thought the boba was okay bc it had an interesting texture, and the drink itself was lightly sweet than what she's used to. My cousin thought the coffee was okay. The only thing we all enjoyed was the eggette. It's a bubble waffle with ice cream and fresh fruits, which is pretty difficult to mess up. Pricing: Prices are pretty high for the portions offered. Overall, the desserts were underwhelming and some didn't meet our expectations. The eggettes are most likely the only thing we'll come back for.

The ice cream here is honestly horrible. It is aggressively, tooth-achingly sweet--to the point where it feels like you're eating straight corn syrup. If you're looking for actual flavor, look elsewhere; this stuff just tastes like "diabetes in a cup." To make matters worse, the consistency is a mess. It melts way too fast, turning into a sugary soup before you can even get through half of it. I also made the mistake of buying a tub to take home once, only to realize the expiration date was incredibly soon. For the price they charge, you'd expect high-quality ingredients and a decent shelf life, but it just feels cheap and poorly made. Save your money and your health. I won't be coming back. PS.
