I got a half BLT and the portions were great for what I got. The bacon tasted nice and the bread was also surprisingly good.

Half a sandwich (so big!)- turkey, salami, pastrami with all of the fixings!

I got a half a sandwich, create your own with turkey, pastrami, salami, and all of the toppings. The half was huge and only $7.50. What an amazing deal! The bread was fresh and so soft. The meat was delicious and of high quality. I added a few mustard packets to the sandwich as it was a bit bland, but after adding it, the sandwich was delicious and added some zing and acidity to it. The service was quick and the restaurant was clean. I will definitely be back when I am in the area again!

UGH. This is the sandwich of my childhood. It's been so long since I've been to my hometown of Oly, but having had to run an errand around the area, I decided to revisit a spot I grew up eating while in town. And I can not believe how freaking good it is even still after all these years. Meconi's Italian Subs is mostly located around the Olympia area. The closest location to Seattle is in Tacoma, which operates more as a bar, but you can still get their Italian sandwiches there. However, this Lacey location is the one I used to eat at, so has a special place in my heart. There's a lot to choose from, like cold deli meats or hot sandwiches, salads, sides, etc. They make and hand form their own meatballs here, so the meatball sub is my absolute favorite here. And I don't even like meatball subs! Can you believe that? But the beefy meatballs, smothered in mozzarella and marinara will have you salivating just opening up the tin foil it's carefully placed in. Just writing this makes me wish I had a Meconi's meatball sub right now! The regular size is large enough, but if you get a large size, you will have two subs, hence, another meal! You'll want to get a large anyway because the subs here are that good. For sides they have pasta salad, potato chips, etc., and there's plenty of room to dine in. My only complaint about Meconi's is that there is not one near the Seattle area at all. But perhaps that's what's special about it and why it means so much to me. It's an Oly thing!

Solid subs that are better priced than Subway and Jimmy John's. Great quality and friendly staff.

LOVE everything about Meconi's. I don't get here nearly as often as I would like to because I live so far away. The Service , food , price are all excellent. The phone orders are always right and ready when we get there . We've tried everything on the menu and no complaints at all. In fact it's hard to choose because it's all so good. My go to is Turkey, but the hot subs and the tuna are outstanding as well. I don't say this about many places , but I'm pretty sure I could eat this every day for weeks and never get tired of it . Keep up the great work !!!

Their pesto is amazing, and their chicken parmesan is very flavorful and not overcooked. The fettuccine alfredo is amazing as well. The last time I went I got just the northern Chicken Parmesan and loved it. It comes with spaghetti so it's a more complete meal. The place is always busy and so it can be loud. They service is usually good, doing the best they can. Desert I've tried their tiramisu (loved it!) and got spumoni last time from a local creamery. The only downside is parking can be a nightmare. They don't have many spaces so you might have to walk a bit to get there, but it is well worth it.

Right away there was confusion at check-in--they called for a party of 9 with no name, and the host was rude when we responded using the first name instead of the last. After being seated, it took about 10 minutes just to get drinks, and then another 30 minutes before our server took our food order. During that time, we weren't asked about appetizers or offered any drink refills. About an hour later, the server came back and told us the kitchen was backed up and they were "just now making our food," which honestly felt like our order may have been forgotten. At that point, all of our drinks were empty and I had to ask for refills. While we were still waiting, another server came to the table asking how one of our steaks was cooked, which added to the confusion. Our food finally arrived after about an hour and a half. Unfortunately, the issues didn't stop there: My spaghetti and meatballs was incorrect, but I kept it since I didn't want to wait again with a toddler. My sister's husband's meal was never even put in--the server admitted this. My sister's fish and chips came out cold. No one checked back to see how the food was. Drinks were left empty again with no refills offered. We were never asked about dessert. Plates were never cleared, even after I stacked empties at the end of the table to help. Every time we needed something, we had to flag someone down. To make matters worse, the checks came out incorrect with items swapped between them. I've worked as a server/bartender for four years, and my niece is also a server, so we completely understand how busy and stressful things can get. But this experience missed the mark on multiple levels. Even when things go wrong, basic service--like keeping drinks filled and checking on guests--should still be happening. This was easily the worst restaurant experience I've had. It was especially disappointing because we're an easy group and typically tip very well. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

Had been looking forward to trying this restaurant as it seems to get decent reviews…read more Pickup order on a weekday, later PM. Terrible parking - had to circle a couple times for street parking. Place had maybe 8 total people so not busy. Went up to Server/Cashier near front to let her know I was there for pickup and was immediately told "The servers like it when you stand by the table" in a mildly pretentious tone. No "Hi" or "How can I help you?" This is downtown Olympia so typical establishment behavior. Not surprised. Place was clean and very nicely decorated.Took about 5 minutes to get my pizza which was surprisingly quick. The Pizza I generally like my pizzas crisp and this was not even close. Very soggy, and not much flavor (Pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, olives). This was thin crust so that potentially had something to do with taste and texture. I would compare this Pizza to what you get at MOD. It's not too bad, but not too good. Average at best and I expected a lot better. Cost was about normal (14" pizza and bread appetizer for $50 plus tax). Marinara sauce for bread was delicious. All in all, it wasn't a terrible experience. It's by no means gourmet or fancy pizza. Perhaps the rest of their menu is better. Server needs to chill out and brush up on her customer service skills. 3 stars at best.
