Phenomenal. Tried a couple of sandwiches- the Euro, the BLT, and the Italian. All were freshly made on their in-house sourdough. Love the flavor profiles of the arugula, aioli, w/ the layers of protein & veg. Best quality sandwich in town, hands down. Took away some homemade soups and sausage for dinner, and everything was outstanding, Rich hearty soups- the split pea and also the lentil had great flavor. I grilled up some peppers and onions to go with the sweet Italian sausage, and that was really good as well. I will be getting my Thanksgiving bird from them. The owner Brian, was super friendly, knowledgeable, and even gave me some local recs. They have a good selection of cheeses and also some high quality dry goods as well. Stopped in on our way home. 2 minutes off the freeway. Wife had the burger and I had the sausage sandwich. Both were excellent Brian the owner was a gracious host. Brian has an awesome set up here. He offers excellent quality cuts of meat, bacon, and a variety of imported Italian goods. He's very knowledgeable on how to cook the items you will purchase and is heavy handed with the samples! I got a chefs special sandwich and it was loaded with mortadella. Great customer service, everyone is so eager to help & very knowledgeable about their products. The deli sandwiches are very meaty and you can taste the freshness. Beautiful meats, weather you like marbled or lean they have it all. The pepperoni is the best! We have tried all the local pepperoni around and have now switched from Stewart's to Delmonico's. They have zickles, that's pickled bread & butter zucchini. It's a must try! They have the best raw dog food around! It's a mix of meat, veggies & fruits. My puppy has the most sensitive stomach and this stuff didn't make him sick one time. And at $6/p it's very reasonably priced. Disappointed at overpriced poor quality ribeye steaks. We discovered Delmonico's shortly after moving to Olympia and had a positive experience. Then we ordered again and received the rib eye scraps paying close to $40.00/Lb for them. We will never patronize Delmonico's again. Hands down the best Italian grinder I've had in a very long time. It's a darling shop, and Jesse answered all of our questions and informed us about all of the products. We have so many treats waiting for us tomorrow, Bulgarian feta, roasted tomatoes, mergez, linguica, and goetta!! Goetta (GET-TAH) is a Cincinnati favorite. Think of it as a cross between meatloaf and breakfast sausage. I'm kicking myself for not buying some of their wild yeast bread and farm fresh eggs. I guess I'll just have to go back next week... So glad we stopped in! The meats looked amazing and we got a sample/bought some of their summer sausage--which is incredible! But the real kicker was the sandwich we ordered. The 'Rachel' was one of the best (and, yes, messiest!) sandwiches I've ever had. Truly delicious. One of the biggest advantages Delmonico's has is a knowledgeable chef on site, who cooks, smokes, and prepares a number of amazing dishes available to purchase out in front of the shop. We came down from Lakewood to experience some great food ( all meat used from the shop) and check out the shop. Impressive meals that made us want to come back! Today was my first visit here, and it definitely won't be my last. The meats and things in the case are pricey, but they BBQ things on weekends and those dishes are super affordable and good. I got the lamb street tacos and rib cap dish, and each was incredibly delicious, intense, and flavorful. My friend had the grinder and loved it. All of that food together was $25. And I picked up some pickled eggs, which are so tart and delicious. I'll definitely be back. Go on a weekend and try one of the BBQ items. read more

This butcher shop exceeds my expectations in three specific areas - 1) artisan raw dog food that my dogs didn't have to adjust to & my dogs do amazingly well on it, 2) cuts of meat for the humans are top notch 3) the most knowledgeable, passionate staff that consistently go above & beyond. Visiting this shop is a fun field trip since I live up north, but the quality is far more important than the drive. Didn't imagine that I'd ever have cause to write "perfectly wonderful butcher" but Delmonico's is. Had some 80% lean ground beef prepared from the trimmings of grass-fed cuts aged for 60 days. True, and exceptional, aged flavor. It's not for everyone; my wife who is not used to aged meat didn't care for it, but it is something that all meat eaters should experience at least once in their life. My first time going and they did not disappoint! From the minute I walked in the door everyone greeted me and treated me like family. They were sampling some type of pickled apple with smoked blue cheese and homemade crustinis. I could not resist and had to buy the set up to make more at home. They were out of there delicious brats so I ended up getting kielbasa. I'm pretty sure I won't be disappointed. On top of the A+ customer service and great food, I came home with a pound of dog food to sample, a treat for my dog and a HUGE zuchinni that was locally grown by Brian's girlfriend. Delmonico's is a real butcher shop that sells locally raised beef, chickens, lamb, and pork...and the occasional rabbit! The meat is days or weeks fresher than in any supermarket offers. The flavor is always better because of that freshness. We had a prime rib at Christmas and whole family agreed it was best beef at home ever. Rack of lamb is delicious. Pork chops tender and flavorful; not the usual grocery store rubber. Do not be afraid to ask for special cuts or trimming; these are real butchers who can provide all types of cuts.
