However, the staff member who approached us was unnecessarily rude and seemed upset that we were there, even though the setup made it seem open to the public. Clear signage or locked access would prevent this kind of confusion. A more polite approach would have also made a big difference. The staff member was lacking courtesy about it. This feels like an issue with unclear setup and communication, not customers.

When I visited, there was a decent line, and the café was quite busy. There isn't dedicated parking, so you'll likely need to find street parking in the surrounding neighborhood and walk over. There is plenty of outdoor seating available, along with a smaller indoor seating area. I ordered the Guava Range from the seasonal menu, which is described as a guava matcha latte topped with mascarpone cream, guava purée, and ceremonial-grade matcha. I was especially excited to try it because guava matcha isn't something you come across often. Unfortunately, my drink didn't quite match the description. If there was guava purée included, I couldn't see or taste it. The only guava element I noticed was a light dusting on top of the cream. The mascarpone cream also overpowered the matcha, making it difficult to taste. Overall, the drink came across more like very lightly flavored milk than a guava matcha latte. For a drink that cost around $9-10, I was hoping for more balance and a stronger presence of the advertised flavors. That said, they're still a relatively new business, and growing pains are understandable. I didn't have time to stay and try any food, but everything coming out of the kitchen smelled great. Since it was busy, I also don't feel I can fairly comment on the service based on this visit alone. I'd be willing to come back and give them another try in the future, as I can see the potential and hope some of the smaller details get refined over time.

No outdoor seating but a few tables and comfy chairs inside to accommodate. I believe I also saw a few shelves full of board games. The gentleman welcomed me as soon as I walked in which I absolutely love. After a quick glance at the menu, I decided on the iced coconut macadamia latte. It was so delicious. I also noticed a fire place and a Television outside. Aside from their great coffee and Tea menu, they offer daily pastries, refreshments, small bites and coffee bean bags to go. I had the Horchata Latté with oat milk (available hot or cold). It was really good. It is made with 2 shots of their signature espresso with a house-made horchata syrup or base, steamed or iced milk, and a dusting of cinnamon. You could taste the quality of the coffee. It was really good. The coffee was a little strong. The service was great and prices are average. I really enjoyed hanging out in their shop with friends. They have several locations. They only had 3 available, and 2 were ones I could find pretty much anywhere else (Earl Grey and...English Breakfast, I think?). I asked for any unique ones and they had a lavender one, which I ended up trying. It was okay, nothing special. Very floral. I also asked for recommendations for beans that are not too acidic and had the Darkside suggested because it's their darkest roast. I'm excited to grind it up and try it!

A proper latte should be built with espresso first, followed by well-textured milk at the correct temperature, integrated through a controlled pour. What I received instead tasted like espresso and milk were haphazardly combined, with no structure or technique behind it. The milk itself was improperly steamed--off-temperature and leaving a sour, flat, unpleasant finish. Even after a remake, the result was just as disappointing--tepid, flavorless, and simply wrong. No body, no balance, no indication that standard preparation methods were followed. This points to a broader issue. It's not the first time I've seen staff being trained on the job and inconsistent drinks being served as-is. At this price point, that's not acceptable. Customers come here expecting a dependable experience--whether it's early morning or late afternoon--and that consistency is part of what keeps people coming back. Right now, that trust is eroding. More attention to staff training, quality control, and basic execution is needed.

It's right next to colorful barrel fountains, and on a sunny day it honestly felt like the perfect coffee outing. The line was pretty long and you are standing in direct sun, so just keep that in mind, but the service was quick and efficient once you order. Inside, it's small but really charming, with Sunny Angels hidden around and a very open, friendly vibe. My sister (who is basically a professional coffee drinker at this point ) got the matcha and said it was her favorite, which says a lot. I got the iced Spanish latte with oat milk, and it was SO good. Spanish lattes are my go-to, and this one had the perfect hint of cinnamon without being overly sweet. Even as the ice melted, it still tasted great, which is rare. The Torrance location was just as good! Parking was easier, the space is bigger, and the service was still super friendly and fast. My husband got the cold brew "Nook way" and finished it in like 10 minutes. He said it tasted like Golden Grahams cereal. Highly recommend both locations and especially the Spanish latte. The parking however, was VERY filled during this time. The line was huge for a 11:00am on a Friday morning. We were bummed that the QR code was not working on the very cute wooden signage outside the coffee shop while we were in line, which was a bummer. The Honey Oat Latte with oat milk was delicious. I am notorious for chugging my iced coffee but this was absolutely delicious. A sweet, subtle honey sweetness taste and the creamy oat milk was divine. My manager's Spanish Latte was so much better & I will be getting that next time! We bought our other coworker the Strawberry Matcha, which we did not try & we were worried after the fact because it did not look like it had strawberries in it, but she confirmed it was very tasty and tasted the strawberry! The outside seating areas in this outdoor area was very cute. Lots of fun art, the directory was creative, the CD tunnel was the coolest part!
