Came in for the first time around Noon on Sunday 7/5/26 thanks to Yelp who guided me here for coffee. L&L is located in a huge industrial complex with tons of parking (not sure how it is during weekdays though when the other businesses are open). The coffee shop is HUGE with plenty of seating and from the looks of it- lots of regulars hanging out and enjoying their sip. Walk in and fall in line to select your coffee of choice. You can scan their QR code of items - just wish prices were posted too. L&L roasts their beans and after just one sip, you can taste the difference! I had a vanilla latte while hubby had their toffee latte. As it turns out they make their own toffee syrup which is amazing!!! They also have a great selection of foods- burritos, avo toast, quiche, a variety of bagels and a nice assortment of scones, muffins and croissants. We shared a chorizo burrito filled with potato, egg, cheese, chorizo then toasted. It came with 2 different sauces - and cool and creamy cilantro and a smokey mocajete. What is not to love about this spot? Easy and free parking for as long as you need it? Sign me up! Extensive drinks menu. I love love love their matcha and actually get my at-home espresso beans here. They are perfectly roasted and the espresso comes out smooth. I also have had their avocado toast. It is so good but I never finish it haha because it is big. Totally worth to try. They have large tables which are perfect to host coworking sessions or just to come and work. I think I've only had like a small instance where the internet got a little slow but other than that this is a pleasant spot to visit. You can also rent a study/conference room from the church. I sent a message before because I needed a spot to do my final oral exam virtually. There is a small fee but unfortunately no one got back to me. There is a QR code that takes you to a site where you fill out a form to request the space. Now, these requests are handled specifically by the church not the coffee spot. Although it is in the same area. The staff is super friendly. The restrooms are always clean. Handicap friendly. Not necessarily kid friendly because a lot of people come here to study and work, and its also all concrete and hazards for the small ones, but I have seen people do like babies on strollers type of gathering. read more

It's off the beaten path and an unusual location for a coffeehouse, but once we stepped inside we understood. I should have clued in by the name of the business when searching on Yelp. This is a business or ministry that a church owns and operates and while its congregation are a big section of the patrons, it's also open to the public. Their coffee menu has nice options and they have many of the same types of baked goods that other coffee shops offer; croissants, scones, cookies, pop tarts, etc. They offer a breakfast burrito that is on the greasy side, however, the flavors in it are okay. And the ubiquitous avocado toast is also available on the menu. The staff were friendly and kind. It's an odd atmosphere if you're not expecting to walk into what feels like an after church service fellowship among the congregation. Plenty of parking. read more

Discovered this coffee shop from Yelp and so glad I did. Their Salted Toffee Iced Latte has me on a chokehold. It's so good!!! I literally schedule my Pilates or Lagree class in that area just so I can go there afterwards for a post treat. I tried their chia pudding, banana bread and their Rico veggie burrito. All were so good. Last but not least, the staff at both locations are simply the best human beings. They are always friendly and kind. I see why this place always has a line. We stopped by on a Sunday at 11 -- it was very busy, as it's also connected to a church. The line went by fairly quickly with very friendly staff. For our drinks, we got two signature drinks: *lucky matcha* and *cookie butter latte* They're both on the sweeter side but still good. They live up to the name and description. You're able to taste the marshmallow in the matcha and the biscoff and cinnamon on the latte. For food, we got *avocado toast* The bread was very fresh, thick and moist. My favorite part was the pickled onions. I'd definitely get it again. And the *breakfast burrito* is okay. Decent case of pastries. Interior and spaciousness reminds me of The Lost Bean in Orange without the 2 story. Lots of good space for studying/working - just keep in mind not all tables are near an outlet. Spinach Cheese Croissant $6: good hefty filling and full-sized, moon-shaped croissant with nice crust. is heavy though but would be something I would buy again I've also tried their seasonal winter menu for the Banana Latte and that is sweet but addictingly good. Came here for a morning meeting. Ordered a large hot chai tea latte. Perfect Chai flavoring with a hint of sweetness. Plenty of seating and tables. Relaxing atmosphere. Friendly service as well. Parking wise, there are limited spaces in front of the shop, so one would have to park in the back of the building. Additionally, the shop is a bit hidden, and I had to drive around the building twice to find the shop (on a corner, on the left side of the driveway into the parking lot). Since most reviews already covered the basics like location and parking, I will focus my review on the drinks, food, and service. I recently stopped by to grab a quick breakfast and coffee with my children who have a few food allergies but the most important one is a dairy allergy. I was hoping they could make their breakfast burrito without cheese so my kids could enjoy it but I was told by one of the employees that the burritos are pre-made offsite and can not be altered (this was also clearly noted on their menu but I had to ask since dairy allergies are somewhat common and I mistakenly assumed there could be alterations if they were stemming from a food allergy). They did offer a vegan muffin that my kids were able to eat. I also ordered the banana pudding latte which was good but not amazing. Overall, I felt like the prices for everything from a small orange juice to the drinks and food were a bit pricey and not really worth it. That being said, I will say all of the staff were nice and working diligently with a smile on their faces so that counts towards a few stars. I probably won't return if i'm ever in the area but if you don't have any food allergies and are looking for a decent coffee shop, this might be worth a try. read more

I got the snickerdoodle from their winter menu, I thought it was a little sweet for my liking but it was still good with the foam. Lion & Lamb Coffee Roasters in Costa Mesa just set the bar for avocado toast. This was hands down the best avocado toast I've ever had. The avocado mash was fresh, creamy, and packed with flavor! not bland, not watery, and clearly made with care. The sourdough toast was perfectly done: toasted enough to give a satisfying crunch, but not too hard, and it held up beautifully without getting mushy from the avocado. That balance is hard to get right, and they absolutely nailed it. The red pepper flakes were a great touch too, adding just the right amount of heat without overpowering anything. I stopped in post-gym, and it honestly couldn't have been a better choice nutritionally which is a plus! healthy fats from the avocado, protein from the egg, and quality carbs from the sourdough. It was filling, energizing, and felt clean without being heavy. I also ordered a hot matcha (large) with vanilla, and it was excellent! smooth, comforting, and not overly sweet. You can tell the same attention to detail goes into their drinks as their food. Beyond the food and drinks, Lion & Lamb is an ideal WFH spot. Plenty of outlets, lots of space to spread out, free Wi-Fi, and enough foot traffic to keep the energy up without it being loud or crowded. It feels like one of those places where enough people know about it, but not too many people know about it which to me is the perfect balance. Parking was easy too, which is a huge plus. Even without all of that, the avocado toast alone is worth coming back for. I'll absolutely be a regular here. read more

Needed a pick me up and found this gem! It's pretty hidden so used my Navi for guidance as it's not exactly in a place easy to spot. Walking in is much bigger than I had expected and very welcoming! There was a decent line but it goes pretty quick. They have all the typical cafe selections. My daughter got the in house pop tart and said it was the best she ever had. I tried the vanilla latte which was just how I expected it to taste. The girl at the register was very pleasant and kind. It's a great place to meet up with friends at a table and just hang for a bit over a drink. If I find myself close by again I will definitely stop by and try other things. Been wanting to check this place out for years now and was finally in the area to go. It it tucked in a more secluded area of Costa Mesa though. Parking was great and so spacious inside. Good for studying and catching up with a friend. I ordered a large cookie butter latte and it was so delicious, loved the chunks of cookie butter and drink itself was very smooth. I really enjoyed my experience at this place! I got their strawberry matcha which came with strawberry cold foam on top. The only thing I'd do differently next time I'm here is to not make any ice adjustments. I requested light ice but fill it to the top, and they do so by adding more milk. The matcha flavor did not feel as strong, so I will make sure to stick to their standard drink ratio. The service was phenomenal as all the employees seemed very nice. Matchurro was amazing; I really liked the combo of matcha and cinnamon sugar that made it taste like both breakfast and dessert haha. This coffee shop is located at a church but has its own entrance; all are welcome and judging from the crowd, "all" know about this place. It is insanely popular even though it is hidden down a side street. I arrived late morning on a weekday to find a line of 7 people waiting to order and two rooms crammed full of people - at least 40 - chatting over coffees or laptopping. The woman taking orders was very personable and effervescent. I ordered from their special seasonal menu; a "Just Peachy". The description: an iced latte with housemade peach syrup, brown sugar & cinnamon, with a peach cold foam. Looking at their pastry case I chose an almond croissant, which my order-taker claimed was her favorite. Five minutes later my order was ready. I had scouted out a single seat at a communal table while I waited and the others at the table were too busy with their laptops to even notice me as I sat down. The iced latte was both wonderful and disappointing. The cold brew was excellent, bold yet smooth. The cinnamon and brown sugar flavors didn't overpower the coffee which made it a delightful drink. But the peach flavor was nearly non-existent. I could slightly taste it in the foam but not at all in the drink itself. The almond croissant was fresh and pretty darn good. As this place is located near Mitsuwa in Costa Mesa, where I sometimes visit, I may stop in again in the future and get something more traditonal. read more

Fun industrial environment with plenty of seating - lots of folks studying or catching up with friends. I had a banana foster latte and it was tasty with just a really subtle banana flavor. It has that buttery, toffee flavor with just the right amount of salt to keep it from being overly sweet. A team member mentioned to me that the syrup is made in house. Definitely one of the more unique lattes I've had in OC and an easy favorite. The shop itself is really modern and welcoming, with a relaxed vibe and friendly staff. Score! A coffee shop located just around the corner from Burn Boot Camp, a gym that I'm currently a member of. I was here twice during my trip to California, and both visits were after my workouts at Burn. During my second visit, I learned that they are part of Watermark OC Church, hence the name Lion & Lamb. This is a little hole in the wall place in some office space complex in Costa Mesa surrounded by other businesses and is right next to the airport. Isn't it nice to have a cup of coffee after a church service? On both visits, I ordered their iced salted toffee latte, which is off of their summer menu. My first visit, I got this drink in a small cup, but I ended up enjoying the drink that I ordered this again in a large cup on my second visit. And let me tell you about the pancake scone I had on my second visit. OMG! This was REALLY GOOD! Unfortunately for me, I didn't get a picture of it because it was that good. So if you're looking for a light snack or breakfast item, I highly recommend the pancake scone. My dad also tagged along and got himself a rocky road latte, plus a bacon and cheddar biscuit. They have lots and lots and lots of seating in separate rooms, which is convenient because it can get incredibly busy at times. I saw a few people here with their laptops on them, so this looks like a great place to study or get some work done. If I lived in California, I would absolutely be back here every day after getting my workout in at Burn around the corner! That's how much I really enjoyed this place! read more

Okay so this is my favorite study cafe in oc. The drinks and pastries are amazing, they have wifi, bathrooms, and a pretty large study area connected to the cafe and the church next door. They also have a few outlets around. So for studying, it's amazing! As for the food... Cookie butter latte: I usually stick with a sugar free vanilla latte anywhere I go but I had to try one of their signature drinks and this was an excellent pick. The latte isn't too sweet and the cookie butter pairs beautifully with the espresso. You can taste both the coffee and cookie butter evenly. Only complaint is that there's a lot of ice so my drink was watered down near the end. 8/10 Salted toffee latte: this one is another signature drink but it unfortunately was disappointing. I will preface this by saying that I love sweet coffee and I thought my latte was too bitter. I had to add an extra pump of toffee syrup but you could barely taste the flavor. It wasn't balanced like the cookie butter latte. 2/10 Morning bun: I tried their morning bun with cinnamon and orange zest and this was so tasty! The portion size is massive and the bun was so flaky and buttery with the right amount of citrus flavor. It was too good. 10/10 read more

Lots of room and tables inside, but it's quite packed on the weekends! They serve food like breakfast burritos, pastries, avocado toast, and tasty fun coffee flavors. They have the everyday coffee drinks like latte, coffee, americano etc, but I really love their seasonal menu items like the white chocolate and raspberry latte, salted housemade toffee latte, and housemade orange and vanilla latte with oak milk called the Orange Dreamsicle. It was my first time visiting today and I absolutely loved this cafe. I ordered the breakfast burrito, which was super delicious, packed with egg, bacon, and hash browns, plus a really tasty salsa on the side. I also tried their matcha. Just a heads-up: it isn't sweetened, so you'll need to add syrup if you prefer it that way. The matcha itself had a rich umami flavor, and I think it would've been even better for me with a sweetener. The prices were very affordable and reasonable, though I do wish the menu layout listed the prices more clearly. Service was excellent, everyone was so kind, friendly, and helpful. The ambiance is really nice and spacious; there's so much seating, making it a great place to study, get work done, or meet with a big group.
