    Smashed Avocado Toast
    Mona A.

Perfect little Earth Day stop after Pilates with my cousin. Service was sweet and fast. Warm counter service. Everything came out quickly. It was such a cute little coffee haven in the middle of a little corporate jungle. The avocado toast was gorgeous. One of the prettier, more unique ones I've had. A lot of dill. Super seedy, hearty, earthy bread. Their breakfast burritos are also really good but they ran out today. The ceremonial matcha creamtop was so good. First sip genuinely tasted like ice cream. The strawberry matcha was also excellent and had real chunks of strawberry at the bottom, which is always appreciated. Only thing is both my cousin and I wished the drinks were bigger. Very American of us. But true. We want more

    $14 yogurt parfait

Been coming here for years since post-Covid and the drinks here are always above average in taste and quality if it's not short of exceptional. Today I tried the yogurt parfait and though it was good the portions were atrocious. $14 for a less than half filled recycled paper Togo bowl is quite the highway robbery.

This review is strictly for their interior vibes and the SWEETENED MATCHA. The decor at this coffee shop is so cool! There are 3D glasses on display that guests can use to view the 3D artwork on the ceiling! So unique and fun to view while waiting in line to order. My go-to order is the iced Sweetened Matcha (with oatmilk)! I'm usually a coffee person, but I think this particular order has converted me into a matcha girly. I love it because it's perfectly smooth and not overly bitter. P.S. the baristas aren't too bad to look at either while you're waiting for your drink... lol

Line can get long so plan ahead. park in the garage across the street the get your parking ticket validated at the cashier. ambiance: Lots of indoor and outdoor seating

Medium Ganache Mocha Latte and Medium Dark Espresso

I went to this cute little coffee shop located on the first floor of a business building, that opens up to the outside. It is around the corner from the Marriott Newport Bay. Hubby was getting an MRI across the way and told me to get some coffee while I waited. PLUS, if you ask for parking validation you get two free hours! If not, you're paying $1.15 every 15 minutes in the parking structure. The employees were friendly. I tried their Ganache Mocha which was creamy and chocolatey. I enjoyed the true flavors without having to add any sweetener. They serve breakfast all day and have pastries and other drinks. We will have to come back and try them another time. It is a great place to enjoy the weather and do work in their patio or the garden area nearby.

Menu: Tons of choices- typical coffees, specialty drinks, sophisticated matches/coffees, food Drink adjustability: 5/5 (will customize drinks!) Seating: Lots of indoor/outdoor, no visible outlets though Crowd: Always a line :/ Parking: Parking structure, 2hr validated Features: Restrooms/water filler (inside corporate bldg) Stereoscope has quickly become one of my absolute favorite Saturday coffee locations. The bar itself is an indoor-outdoor cramped space on the side of a corporate building. Park in the garage across the street and get your ticket validated (2hr). There are tons of little nooks to sit outside (I've read many a book here) and also an indoor seating area in the corporate building lobby, with indoor plants and nice restrooms. Fantastic place to get some work done or chat with friends. I originally tried their strawberry matcha with milk per recommendation from a friend. This was good (I just asked for their "Sweetened matcha" with strawberry), but they shine in their "fancier" matcha selections. I had the Hokatsu ceremonial matcha with a bit of simple syrup and it was lovely; small and expensive, but good quality. Although the prices are steep here, I give Stereoscope 5 stars because of the abundant seating, very kind staff, and fantastic vibes.

A nice, small cafe with so many different matcha options! I got the Hokatsu Ceremonial Matcha sweetened with vanilla ($7.50; one size) and the Sweetened Matcha ($7.50; Large). You can really taste the difference between the matchas, and the Hokatsu was my favorite There was bit of a line, but it wasn't too bad. We went on a Monday during a holiday and waited around 10 minutes for our drinks after ordering. This cafe is located in a corporate building area, and there is a visitor's parking lot area. Stereoscope will validate your parking for up to 2 hours.

    Matcha Latte
    Karen L.

Stereoscope is a cute small cafe located in a commercial business area near corporate offices. They have some seating outside but the building next to the coffee shop has a few places to sit. Parking is limited but they do have a parking structure across the street which you can get 2hrs validated. I have been to their Buena Park location but never ventured to the Newport one. They had so many different choices for matcha which I would like to try in the future. I got the sweetened matcha latte. I don't know if it was an off day but it was definitely more sweet than I remembered.

    Arya R.

I'm gonna review this spot again and stay strong in my 2 star review. My matcha latte as you can see (left) is a gorgeous green but my friend's matcha (right) looks strange. She got the strawberry matcha but the color looked really off. After trying it, the drink tasted like sugar and strawberries. It's sad to say because my matcha latte was delicious and I'd give it a 4/5 but my friend's drink was 1/5; the inconsistency is just wild. They said the strawberry matcha only has 20 of matcha and the regular latte has 60, which I think is strange. If they have less matcha in a drink it should be clearly advertised IMO...

12/22/2025 MISO PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE Loved this! This was not like the usual pumpkin spice lattes sold at every coffee shop. The spices were not overwhelming, but had the rich flavors of fall in each sip. The miso had that undertone that brings an extra umami flavor without it being too prominent in flavor. The miso complemented the spices of fall. Enjoyed it! This was a seasonal flavor and I believe it may not be available by the time I post this review. CAPPUCCINO A bit of smoky flavor from the espresso. The coffee was from Peru with fruity notes of raspberry, white peach, and citrus honey. I wasn't a huge fan of their espresso pick, which tasted a bit sour. But they've done a good job at bringing an overall good mouthfeel with their milk foam. However, I would not order this again. GENMAICHA Got it hot and to go. Drank it while driving. Very deliciously nutty flavor of the toasted rice. You can taste the smooth matcha flavor coming through. It was surprisingly good and very soothing as you drink! Recommend! FINANCIER All financiers were moist and soft on the inside, yet dense on the outside. It had a lightly pleasant chew to it too. All three of them were sold in wrapped paper, which was a nice touch. Chocolate - Good deep chocolate flavor with fudgy filling on top. Delicious with coffee! Matcha - This one was good too! A very good slightly grassy and floral matcha flavor. Coffee - The barista recommended this one! It did taste like coffee with coffee grinds on top as decoration. You can taste the brown butter flavor as you eat the financier. It was a pleasant taste and mouthfeel! This one was good too! Recommend all three! AMBIANCE / SEATS It felt like a local café, yet had that minimalistic vibe that was inviting. Indoor and outdoor seats available. Indoor seats were minimal. Outdoor seats with chairs and cushioned seats. LOCATION Stereoscope was located at a commercial office buildings and business center. Please park in the parking structure and you will get 2 hr. validation when you bring your ticket to the cafe register. Parking structure is right across from Stereoscope. I enjoyed the space and it was cozy and parking was easy too. Would definitely return when in the area!

I visited the Long Beach location and wanted to try this OC location. It's in an office complex area. The menu is similar to Long Beach and they have a small food menus. Limited indoor and outdoor seating available. Parking is via a structure. Please come and create your own adventure.

    Solid matcha and lattes
    Sanela S.

Great coffee, friendly staff and cute outdoor seating - it's a yes for me. The parking isn't great if you're looking for a quick pit stop, but there's a lot and some time-limited curb parking if you're not in a hurry. The matcha and lattes are solid. The shop is small and very limited to no seating inside but there is plenty of chairs and tables outside to enjoy the beautiful southern California weather! It's part of a commercial building so there is some indoor seating in the building itself and clean bathrooms to use if needed.

    Jamie F.

This place is located near a few corporate offices. However, validated parking is offered, just need to let the staff know when you place your order. There are plenty of spaces outside and inside to sit, however, the wooden seats directly inside the shop are a little sticky. The vanilla latte and matcha lattes are one of my favorites to order. The coffee is smooth and the vanilla syrup provides a rich vanilla taste to it. I recommend starting out with the hokatsu series matcha as it's not grassy and well balanced.
