I chose this salon based on the positive reviews and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The nail application was sloppy, with uneven polish and bare areas around the edges. When I politely asked the nail tech to fully cover the nail and clean up the edges, he refused. Another technician stepped in and instead of addressing the concerns, told me there was "nothing wrong," implied that because I'm new to the area I didn't know what I was talking about, and spoke to me in a dismissive and condescending manner. I was surprised and uncomfortable, as I have never been spoken to that way while receiving a service. I wasn't asking for anything excessive--just clean, fully covered nails and professional treatment. Unfortunately, the way my concerns were handled felt disrespectful and unprofessional. My usual spa was full so called Medford nails for a manicure. They got me in. I got a gel manicure .. it was $35. The manicurist took all my former gel polish off with a dremel. I don't like this as I see it taking off part of my nail as well as the polish. It was the quickest manicure I've ever had. She did not do anything with my cuticles at all even though they were in need. After a thorough inspection, I have areas on the sides of my nails that were missed and some are quite far from the cuticle. You definitely get what you pay for. I won't be back. read more

Went with my partner to get her nails removed recently and we witnessed something that should be a health code violation! As a part of removal of the nails you need to soak your nails in acetone. Which they did but here's where the worst parts comes, when she was done soaking her nails and it was time to file the rest off the gentleman took the same bottle of acetone he used to fill the glass bowl with originally and soaked up the used acetone back into the bottle!!!!! My partner said her acrylic was floating in the acetone when he soaked it up into the bottle!!! That is ABSOLUTELY VILE AND DISGUSTING and this place should he shut down immediately or at least inspected!!! read more

Gross place! Went for a pedicure; ended up with something more like foot surgery. My man's technique was wacky. Without warning -- or permission from me -- he made 2 deep clips of the nail of my big toe - near the skin -- in a wide V, cutting towards by body. My toe was immediately painful. It has been many weeks and my big toe is still problematic, the pain wakes me from sleeping. The nail on this side of my big toe will not grow now. Went to a foot doctor, have taken courses of antibiotics, next plan is anti fungal medicine, if that doesn't work it will require toe surgery. I am mad at myself for not walking out as soon as I was told to soak my feet in a tub without a plastic liner -- a clean liner that I watched being installed -- or walking out when I saw his pile of tools soaking -- into which he added tools used on me into, and indiscriminately withdrew tools from to use on me immediately after. The man is not qualified. His wife is a bully. Beware !!! Be willing to bolt for the door mid procedure (it may save your life!). read more

Today my partner went into Medford Nails and had acrylic nails applied and then painted, the husband started her out by applying the acrylic nails and he did a great job, then here comes the issue, then his wife took over and painted them, she didn't handle the nails good at all, didn't apply cuticle oil so the skin around the nails look terrible, and the gel topcoat she applied begins to yellow as it dried which is a clear sign that they are using a cheap gel product. (See White & blue snow flake picture) She ended up paying $70 to Medford Nails which included a tip (she said it was for the husbands great work on applying and shaping the acrylic nails, not for wife's terrible service) my partner does not like conflict so she paid and left. And she drove to Ashland Nail & Spa and had her nails repainted and you can see the difference because they added nail oil (see 2nd pic of see thru nail paint job, stark difference in quality). She headed home and told me her story, I was upset and called Medford Nails and asked to speak to the owner and the lady that answered was the wife who did my partners nails and I asked what their process was for customers who where unsatisfied. She told me she wouldn't talk to me about it she would only talk to my partner. Convenient. So here's our response to that among other steps. If you only read one review, read this one MEDFORD NAILS GAVE ME AN INGROWN TOENAIL. I normally don't review places, good or bad. Even if I have a terrible experience, I don't believe in bashing a business because maybe they were just having a bad day, and this is their livelihood. I have never had an ingrown toenail before, but while I was getting a pedicure the guy was hurting me so badly I said stop multiple times in escalating volume until I was shouting. My toe was bleeding. But that's happened before. A week later and my toenail hurts so bad that lying in bed with a sheet touching my toe is enough to induce throbbing pain. Apart from that, the polish job was terrible (he painted over my cuticles and even my skin), I waited with my toes in the water for over half an hour WITH an appointment, and the price was significantly more than what I paid for a pedicure in San Francisco. My wife is a travel nurse so we are always looking for a new nail salon when we move! It's very hard to get a reservation in this area but they were able to accommodate us so quickly. The owners are such hard workers and are so kind, they have many regulars that have come in while we are there and are so attentive and ask how their job is going, kids etc and that is just a small glimpse into who these owners are. I have absolutely loved the nails we have gotten every time we have gone and they are also very covid safe which makes me feel so good about going here. I know that there are some negative reviews but if you're going to listen to anyone of them listen to this one. I have to start by saying the people working here are very sweet and friendly. They were able to get us in on a Saturday the same day we called, which was great. I took my mom and dad who were visiting me along and we were able to convince my dad to come by telling him he'd get a great foot/ calf massage. They didn't end up massaging him very much at all and the pedicures were kind of pricey for being what they were. Well when I walked into this business they call it Medford nails my goodness the first thing was the smell overwhelming I can't explain what it smells like it's just a very strong and potent odor very unpleasant it actually made me nauseated to the point where I have to walk out and take my nausea medication. They have no public restroom the owner came out chewy there was food all over his face and falling out of his mouth while he's speaking to me trying to speak to me and I asked him how much it was to get a fill on my toenails and he told me I need a pedicure before he would fill my nails that was 65 just for the pedicure plus the fill. I had an appointment for 11 am on 7/12/21. When I went in I told Tony, the owner that the 3 solar nails he filled for me where coming off, (When he assured me that they will last between 4-6 weeks). He had only done my nails 2 1/2 weeks prior. He said to me, "don't complain I fix them". When I sat down he asked me where my files were, I told him in my car. He told me to go get them. He then filed my nails, roughly grabbing each finger to file individually. I could tell he was upset with me. When completed with the fill, which was supposed to cost $22 he charged me $32. Ripped me off! I assumed when he said he would (fix) them, that he would repair them for free. Just before I left he said to me,If you're not happy with us, find someone else! I have been getting my my nails done for over 30 years. I have never been treated so rude in my life. There are many other places to get your nails done in southern Oregon. Don't go there! Called here after another salon had no time to do our nails, the nice lady who answered the phone said she could do our nails at 6:30. After I got off the phone I realized they close at 6:30. We got there and there were other people there and we waited about an hour after we got there...which wasn't a big deal because they were accomodating us by seeing us on short notice. So I walked out with them still yelling after me. I'm a nice and calm person, a nanny for over a decade and in nursing school.. and I was still calm through this whole thing, she was a bit crazy.
