Where else would you go for dinner and a show? Medieval Times has been a family favourite for a really long time - the last time I remember going was when I was a kid! You must make a reservation (online or by phone). It's about $82 per adult at the time of posting. Green P parking is available behind the restaurant, but it's paid (I went on a Sunday and it was $15 flat rate). It's a short walk to the front entrance (about 3 min). I strongly recommend you come early, because it's first come first served. The earlier you arrive, the closer to the stage your seat is. Once you're inside, you have to check in with the hosts and pick up your team crowns. You can also browse and shop aound for medieval props and accessories, though it is also available post-dinner. You can also go to one of the desks and request additional add ons, like a birthday scroll and announcement ($18+tax) or a knighting ceremony ($22+tax?). There are no utensils for dinner. Only wet wipes and napkins. Strongly recommend bringing your own utensils if you require them, or disposable gloves like we did. You can find their menu online, but you get tomato basil soup, garlic bread, a drink (Pepsi or water), baked potato, chicken leg, corn cob, and a dessert (eclair). The soup was good, baked potato was dry, chicken leg was dry and huge, and corn cob was sad (mushy). Eclair was also not good (couldn't even finish it). We did have lots of leftovers to take home (mostly chicken legs). The service was top notch and the show was very good. As an adult, you can tell it's very much rehearsed and choreographed, but it's fun cheering for your team and getting immersed. We had some first-timers in our group (grandma included) and they enjoyed it very much. TLDR I wouldn't come here often, nor only for food, but it's a nice celebration once in a while! read more

I have come to Medieval Times since childhood. They always put on a good show but this will have to be the last time I go. The reasons are: *the food is always the same. And the only thing I've ever liked is the dragons blood aka tomato soup. Chicken is dry and corn on the cob is mushy, etc. There is nothing for me to look forward to; I know exactly what they're serving and the only dish I really like is the soup * the show doesn't change. It's a great show but the same thing over and over. There's no excitement left to be had. Nothing new to discover. I think it's awesome if it's your first time going but when there nothing new happening and the food isn't blowing you away, there's just not much reason to go back. But if you've never been I highly recommend you go at least once to enjoy the unique experience. Parking is confusing; there's only one way in and one way out and they're not near each other. A bunch of people had to turn around, including us. You do have to pay for parking too, but you can park there for a long long time, so me and my friend went on a nice long walk afterwards as it was a beautiful day. Parking was $15. read more

First time coming here. Show was about 2 hours total. First hour or so was a bit boring and the second half was more entertaining with the knights fighting each other. It was all staged but still felt fun and good to do once. The food is included in the show and you shouldn't expect much. You get tomato soup, garlic bread, half chicken, potato, corn, dessert, and a drink. The chicken itself was pretty under-seasoned and very dry. The soup and bread were decent. We had the most energetic and amusing night at Medieval Times!! I've been a few times and this was probably my best experience. The show is really riveting and even better when your knight wins ;) The crowd was so hyped and I almost lost my voice from cheering. We had dinner here tonight with another friend and their kids. Our server tonight was Marie or Mariosa or something for the blue group. Service was below average tonight. We saw our friend offered extra napkins and bread for their kids without them asking, but she passed our kids and only offered one napkin for me and one for my husband to share with them and no extra bread for them either. We asked for more napkins, and it never came. Even our friends were shocked in the differential treatment, even though we were part of the same group. At the end, she asked our friends if they had a good time, but didn't even acknowledge us or ask us. Then when it came time to tip, she hovered over us to ask us to tip. The show itself was good. The knights and horses kept our kids entertained the whole time. The food was mediocre, but we didn't come for the food. The service truly brought our experience down a lot tonight though. My family felt super upset that we got treated this way. It was our last night in Toronto, and we thought we were bringing our family to something fun, but Marie/Mariosa for the blue group truly made us feel pretty awful tonight. It's always such a blast every time I go to Medieval Times -- they never, ever disappoint! I hadn't been to this location in years, so getting a whole new storyline made it even better. This time was extra special because my sister and her son are visiting Canada for the first time, so of course I had to take them -- and they had an absolute blast! I also love how caring and gentle they are with the horses. You can tell there's a real bond and connection between the performers and their horses, and it just makes the whole show even more magical. The food? Still the same -- tomato soup with garlic bread and half a chicken -- and I'm so glad they never changed it because it's that delicious. I took my family to the Medieval Times Dinner theatre. We had a good time. The place is huge. The place opens up 75 minutes before your dinner/show, but going early is not advised unless you want to look at all the toys and items for sale. You are assigned a colour and table number and when you go in they will had you your ticket and your crown aligned with your colour. We paid for VIP which entitled us to go in before others (without VIP) so you can choose your seats at your table. The show begins as they're begging to serve food. There's a King and Queen and there are 8 knights that are vying to win. The show is ok but it's hard to understand everything they're saying and to follow the story. The dinner begins with a tomato soup, followed by garlic bread. The soup was good. The garlic bread was not very garlicky. You're entitled to 2 soft drinks (Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, or 7UP), water, or can select from their bar menu. Then, they serve a half chicken rotisserie style (good size), half potato with spices and half a corn on the cob. All was tasty! For dessert, they give a little eclair with coffee and tea. The coffee was cold and terrible. As an aside, If going, plug Green P parking 856 as your destination in your GPS as it's the closest parking lot ($15). read more

Fun family splurge, if a bit hokey. :) - Parking was confusing - Bummed that the exterior wasn't shaped like a castle, like other locations (not a big deal, but you should know) - The two entrance lines should be clearly marked before the doors open for VIP/non-VIP. The red mat on the floor isn't obvious. - Frozen drinks at the lobby bar are surprisingly good/well-spiked (you can also get them alcohol-free for the kids) - Souvenir clothing items are decently priced - Be sure to see the horses when you first walk in. They're taken out of their stalls pretty quickly after you're inside. - Museum of torture got to be too much for me about 2/3 of the way through (I can be sensitive to graphic stuff, and made the mistake of reading all the placards). Had to abandon. - Condition of the restrooms (specifically the floors) was unforgivable. This was true of all restrooms, multiple times through the evening. - Couldn't follow the story line during the performance, but it didn't really matter. :) - Performers were excellent and COMMITTED, and our server (Kat) was wonderful. - Food was way better than expected! - Combat impressed even my 12 & 13 year olds. Sparks! Splinters! Awesome. - If you can't be silly, don't come. Let loose. Cheer! Boo! - I find dressage (making horses dance and bow) really unnatural and a bit upsetting. It feels forced and looks uncomfortable to me, so I never like those parts - and there are a lot. Just be aware. SO FUN! came for our staff holiday party. It was PACKED wow. The smell kinda hits ya but you get used to it. And it's worth the epic performance. The horses are amazingly well trained. Stepped back in time to the land of Lords and Ladies, with kings and Queens, Knights and Knaves. The atmosphere makes it easy to get into character as we cheered our knight to victory, however, our knight didn't win..... There is a decent variety of beverages, with never ending soft drinks with the meal or alcohol if you choose to purchase. The meal is a half chicken dinner with soup and toast to start and accompanied by a half cob of corn and a roast potato, it's a lot of food followed by a small desert eclair. The arena is busy with knightly action from start to finish. Being about a two hours long it's a great show with characters that really keep the feel going. Loved the whole show. Different country, same tourist trap. I would recommend purchasing your tickets online. Hopefully, you can find a discount such as a Groupon or something. This place is kind of pricey. I liked the Orlando one better. It seemed more interative. They do not have their own private parking lot. I ended paying $15 to park in a commercial lot behind the arena. I should have probably checked one of those parking apps before I came, to see if I could save a few bucks. They suggest that you arrive there an hour before the event to participate in the pre-game festivities. I found the festivities lacking, boring and pretty uneventful. You can basically buy souvenirs, flags and blinky stuff, purchase drinks, see one of the falcons from the show, and see some of the horses in a stable. For an extra fee, you can have your kids be part of a royal ceremony. They only have their drink menu digital that you have to pull up using a QR code. However, I did not have cellular service and they did not have wifi, so I was not able to see a menu. I think they should have a few paper copies for those that are unable to pull up the the digital one for whatever reason. The bartender was able to give me a description of some things thatI may like and I chose from there. Most of the people purchased the VIP upgrade, which I am glad that I didn't because I still had great seats. There are really no bad seats in the arena. VIP just gets you in the front 2 rows. I ended up in the 3rd row, in the center of the arena. We were the black and yellow night and we cheered as hard as we could. However, the Green knight was victorious on that evening. The staff was awesome. Very friendly and energetic. They stay in character the entire show. Our server Bessie was the best. The show is decent, my kids were very entertained. It is not a big deal, but it seams that the "winner" of the tournament is predetermined. I think that the winner should be decided by audience participation though. that would be really cool. The show lasted about an hour and a half. My favorite part was the intro and the tournament part. My kids loved the sparks flying from the clashing swords. My daughter liked the knights throwing flowers into the audience, after they won certain tasks, mainly because she got one. The food was ok. It was decent for max produced/buffet food. You get a ton of it. There is baked chicken, baked potatoes, and soup. There is a limited selection of drinks that are included. Or you can purchase from the full bar or get a slushie (at a fee). We could not finish our food and had to get a to-go box. Don't get me wrong this is fun, but it does not compare to the other Medieval Times that I went to. There was no meet and greets, It is also very pricey for what you get. You should go in with a budget, becuase you can easily lose track of what you are spending with all the add-ons, trinkets and drinks available. Parking was also included at the other ones. Medieval times is a great dining experience for all ages. The service was a little slow but not too bad. The food was good. First, we had dragons blood (tomato soup) which was a little cold but it tasted nice. Next we had garlic bread it was nicely toasted and had just the right amount of seasoning. For dessert they served a chocolate éclair sort of thing filled with cream. It was good but a bit too sweet. The tournament was definitely set up but it was very interesting to watch. Overall medieval times is a great show with good food. -MS From my perspective, this is great family fun that you have to do once if your kids are still young. My husband and I finally made our way to Toronto to enjoy the Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament! We are from Buffalo, NY and this was our first trip to Toronto. We definitely did not take into account the amount of traffic there was going to be. We attended the 4:30 PM show on Sunday, August 31, 2025. I had read many reviews advising that we should arrive early to really get the full experience. Unfortunately, that did not happen for us. Our Uber took us a few blocks over from where we needed to be and with traffic it was a race for time! Thankfully we made it at 4:37 and the show had not yet started, and we made it to our seats! I opted to get the VIP seats, it didn't feel like we really got anything extra other than good spots to view the show. Our server was very friendly and the bartender that was going around taking orders had a great sense of humor. The show itself was awesome! It was so much fun cheering on our knight! The show did have some cool twists in it too which made the crowd go wild. The food was pretty good too. The "dragon blood" soup was very flavorful, and the portion of chicken was huge and delicious!! The sides of corn and potato were lackluster, but the chicken made up for that. This is the 5th castle we've been to, but first one out of the United States. Yes, we will not be traveling to this castle ever again. While the show and performers were great, the service was not. I needed to take a small child to the bathroom during the show and they took my wine glass while I was gone. It still had wine in it!!! They literally took away alcohol I paid good money for. Then, I asked for coffee (which is included in the price of the ticket) and never got it. Amanda the server just brought us the tray to put her tip in. Side note: it took us. 90 minutes by car to get there. We were in a hotel 9.8 miles away. Almost missed the beginning of the show. Come one, come all to the Medieval Times. Rather than sports as we know it today, why not turn back the clock to the Middle Ages by heading to a sporting event fit for a king! This was our family's first show experience. Upon settling into the seating area belonging to our knight, intros were made by Queen Maria Isabella and the tournament host. Queue the Game of Thrones music... What followed was an exciting lineup of knights, horses, falconry and intense jousting. This all culminated in the knights' semi-dramatic hand-to-hand combat action with sparks flying from clashing swords, all to win the Queen's favour. A fun event for the whole family, with cheering kids and adults alike engaged in the tournament action. Lit sword, wand and axe toys were popular with the kids too, and reasonably priced I might add. Did I mention that the show also provided food for the experience? Roasted chicken, sweet buttered corn, herb-basted potato and tomato bisque; all ate with our hands like medieval times! The sweet corn was a highlight, though the half chicken was unevenly cooked but was helped down by drowning some ale. The (s)eating area was clean and refreshing with no horse scent. Even the story, armour, fight scenes and music were recently refreshed. While I ain't a European history buff, there's also some education within these castle walls. The six coloured knights are in fact based on real Spanish kingdoms from the Middle Ages. Hence their horses were of the sturdy Spanish Andalusian breed. Our section crowd was particularly jovial as our valiant knight earned the kingdom's chivalry title on this night. read more

You get out of it what you put into it. Let's get the negatives out of the way: 1) expensive as hell 2) food = meh The dark meat chicken is tasty, and hard to mess up. White meat is dry, the potato is like cardboard, the eclair is shipped from Guam frozen probably. The soda is flat and watered down. And for what I paid I could probably get a stem cell milkshake. But whatever. The performers are amazing not just actors, but athletes, gymnasts, equestrians, damn this is a tough gig. And they do it so damn well. Throwing spears, jousting, and 1-on-1 with a variety of weapons that throw fucking *sparks*. You are not going to get that shit at your local production of My Fair Lady. You get assigned a knight to root for, and you better. The more you yell and cheer, the more fun you have. I mean it, if you act bored and think you're too good for it, you'll feel like you wasted your kids' inheritance. But if you can muster some enthusiasm, I mean like yell so loud the actors look at you like you're on crack, then you'll get your money's worth. See, it's a drama, and *you are part of it*. If you believe this, then it's worth every penny. I yelled so loud my voice is destroyed for a couple days. Each year, my department at work holds a summer event for all of us to unwind, hang out, and bond. We had a choice between visiting a brewery or going to Medieval Times. The latter won. Although I had voted for the former, it is insane that I have never been to Medieval Times in my life. I was happy to check it out. I drove down and found parking next to the venue for a flat rate of $13. You are free to park there till 6 pm. As I casually walked over to the main entrance, I found my manager on his motorcycle. We chatted for a bit, as he was searching for free parking. He eventually did. It's a perk for driving a smaller vehicle. While I was stopped to talk to him, I didn't realize that my intern was half a block behind me. She told me later that she thought that I was either lost or helping the strange man with directions. When I broke the news that the strange man (accurate description) was our manager, she laughed hard. Naturally, half our team was late. As a group, you need to be there by 10 am for the 11 am show. Thank goodness for the hour cushion. Anyway, once we sorted out how one of us got lost, one was stuck in traffic, and one was taking the GO train from Mississauga, we found one another and walked in. It was a bit confusing having individual tickets and understanding the instructions to go into one line. We needed a colour assigned to us, so we could cheer on the coloured knight. We went into the lineup without this assignment and without any staff member checking our tickets out, so we had to go back and get that corrected. Swimming upstream when you have kids going in the opposite direction isn't fun. Additionally, the flow to get your paper crowns wasn't the best. Anyway, we eventually got our paper crowns and knight colours (we were red and black), and walked into what looked like a massive gift shop. I swear that every item had a price attached to it and was for sale. I saw a full-length metal knight armour piece that was going for $5,500. I can't see myself owning it. It was quite the cash grab. You can get everything from pointy princess hats to glow-in-the-dark swords. My team also got our photo taken with a lord. I felt like I was in elementary school. I was told to move to the back. I am one of the taller folks on my team. We caved and paid $28 with tax for this commemorative photo. The washrooms were clean, but the lines were long. I used it before and after the show, as the show runs for two hours. We were led into the arena by knight colour. When red and black were called, we proudly walked over to our seats and sat down. Our show started at 11 am. They did tricks with and on their horses, participated in jousts, and role-played sword-fighting and killing one other. It was like watching WWE (wresting) matches, but during the medieval period. It was fun and entertaining. We got a crash course in cheering our knight, and booing all other knights. We have adapted booing and cheering in our team meetings ever since this event. We cheer great decisions and boo horrible ones now. I was impressed by how everyone stayed in character, with British accents, for the entire two hours. Mind you, the actors do these shows so often that I'm sure that they can recite their lines in their sleep with the accent. We got fed. I didn't think that I could eat half a roasted chicken before noon. It was okay. You aren't provided cutlery, but you can get through it with your hands. There wasn't any sauce, as it was dry. I ended up dunking my chunks of meat in the tomato soup that came first. I loved the soup. The consistency and flavour were yummy. I also liked the slice of garlic bread that came with it. We also got half a baked potato and corn on the cob as sides. I loved the seasoning on the baked potato. I absolutely love corn and ate it all. I got to drink Diet Pepsi throughout our meal. Our server was wonderful and refilled my cup later on in the show. For dessert, we got a scoop of vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce drizzled on top. I ate it all. I'm not big on caramel sauce in general. I wish that we got more. It was good. My colleague and friend wondered why our company wasn't mentioned over the speaker. The Aurora kids camp was acknowledged. A mental community was also mentioned. I told her that I cheered for the mental community, as I felt that it was the closest fit. She howled. After the show, you can meet all the knights and cast members. If you want to, you can take photos with them and get their autographs. Naturally, you had gift items in your face. I resisted and moved on. I got to visit the horses. They were recovering from a day in the office and looked peaceful eating. I'm glad that I got to experience Medieval Times at long last. 5 stars for the show, but 0 stars for the food as several of us got food poisoning and the food wasn't great to begin with. The show, decor, and actors were all great. You are seated in a color coded section and have a little flag to wave for your knight so cheer well for them to help the theme. There was jousting, horses dancing, sword fights with sparks flying, falconry, and other impressive displays. The knights will also throw a few carnations into the crowd as well. You can buy merch in the main entrance hall and get pictures taken with the knights. The standard meal is a roast chicken while the vegetarian/vegan option is a bean and tomato soup. Come one, come all, to the greatest feast of all! I always have a good time at Medieval Times and I've been going every few years for the last 10 years (oh wait, I went when I was in grade school too, that was decades ago!) This time was different as I had my little ones in tow. I took my family for the dinner and show in a Saturday, right before additional Covid restrictions lifted. They checked out vaccination passport outside which helped with the flow of patrons into the castle. We arrived promptly an hour before our showtime, parked on Dufferin for $3/hour. I know my kids and how they would beg for the stuff at the gift shop, so I dressed up my princess and knight for the show. Everyone had the their masks on in the main area where you can buy souvenirs, look at the majestic horses in their stables and buy drinks at the bar (the drinks come with a souvenir cup, it's not a covid thing, they've always had this, but there wasn't a price list). The 2-hour show was entertaining and my 4yo and 6yo thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We sat in the green section, right by the queen, though I doubt there is a bad seat in the house. They rushed through getting the food out and our server Daisy came around with pop twice. First course is a tasty tomato soup. I prefer my soup piping hot, but I totally understand that that would be a hazard for this kind of event. Next came the garlic toast, corn, half a potato and half chicken. The chicken was seasoned nicely, but only on the outside/on the skin. Good thing Daisy gave me packets of hot sauce to help with the taste. They do serve coffee and coffee, but it's luke warm and I wouldn't drink it myself. Every one gets the same food, regardless of whether you're an adult or child. Don't worry, if you don't finish, you can pack it to go! To finish off the meal, we had ice cream with chocolate sauce and I got an orange sorbet (not sure why). All of these was handed out within the first hour of the show. The reason being they usually have 2 shows running back to back, so they have to feed the folks and them get them out so the next group can get in. Since I've seen the show numerous times, I knew the sort of thing they would do. The older shoes had a villian and the knights had to fight him. This show didn't have a bad guy and the knights just battled each other. There's a falconer and horse dancing segment as well. The knights do come up by the audience twice to hand out carnations. Carnation is the national flower of Spain and that is why the knights throw carnations during the show! The green knight gave one to my daughter and she was just over the moon! My family thoroughly enjoyed the show and the kids are already asking to go back. Only MT location in Canada. Our server Daniel was very attentive, funny and provided excellent service. The meal was very good especially the roast chicken and soup. Tonight's dessert was a chocolate hot dog (eclair) and the rest of the food was very good. Drinks are a little pricey but you get a MY branded souvenir stein/goblet/drinking. vesssel. We booked a VIP ticket for an evening at Medieval Times to celebrate an important occasion but the server( Wench Cat) ruined our experience. Since it was our first time there, any question asked was replied in a very unpleasant, rude tone. Even the way she was serving the food made us feel as if we were not guest but beggars and she's doing a favour by dumping food on our plate. I noticed the other servers interacting, cracking jokes and making the audience cheer for their team but our server didn't even prompt us once to cheer. I don't know if she was discriminating (I wear head covering) or it's just her personality. The show and ambience was good but she definitely ruined our evening. read more

Thoroughly enjoyed our experience for my sons 9th birthday! Very entertaining and extra exciting because our knight won the tournament! A lot of fun for a memorable family outing, especially for kids under 10. I would rate it higher but I find the ticket price a little too expensive. Food was good but just average and the portions were too large. There was no way my 9 year old or 6 year old could finish their meals. A kids size meal would be a great option and less wasteful. Overall a lot of fun for families, amazing service, and great option for kids with winter birthdays! read more
