Lunch Special with Grilled Chicken Kabobs
    Lou E.

One of our Go To restaurants. We have been eating here since they opened in 2000/2001. Not much has changed other than they are much busier than 20 plus years ago and the prices have increased but not that much. The best deal is the lunchtime special that ends at 3:00PM and it is The Business Lunch Feast. It is huge and only $10 and includes a drink. This past week we had the special lunch and it again was huge and we even had leftovers(after splitting one lunch). The grilled beef kabob was so tasty. Wish I knew the spices they use. The Koftas were equally as good. Sometimes I get just the Koftas..love the herbs inside the grilled tubular treat. The gyro meat is very good, but it used to be better. However, sometimes we just order a side of gyro meat(which is a lot) for $4.50! The serve a huge side of saffron rice and a very large Greek salad. We don't know how one person can eat all of the food. If you order the lunch special they will be pretty flexible. What Grilled Chicken you can have it. Want to make it Vegetarian - no problem. Highly recommend this little place. It is usually very crowded especially with to-go orders. Will definitely return.

Mediterranean Grill (N. Decatur Rd location) continues to be a true gem for good Mediterranean food. It is consistently honored as the or a top ethnic restaurant for Mediterranean food in Atlanta. They have several metro locations & 1 in Athens. This review is for my favorite location on N. Decatur Rd. It's near Emory & the Atlanta VA Hospital so either order ahead & pick it up or avoid the lunch crowd M-F. The people are friendly, the food is good, flavorful, & priced at a value, despite the steep rise in prices elsewhere. You will not leave hungry, especially if you order the business lunch M-F/the combination feast on the weekends. With this classic meal you get a taste of a few things, a Greek salad (note, the olives are not pitted), rice, gyro meat, steak kabob, & beef kofta. The business lunch has other options, but I like the variety in the combination feast. I always have enough for another meal, making it a true value meal for college students, VA employees, & customers in general. The dolmas are good according to my husband. I don't usually eat them. The hummus is good & you get several pieces of pita with it. The baklava pistachio is good, but I prefer the one at Your Dekalb Farmer's Market better as it's a little more moist. The ambiance is casual. Depending on what time you go, you may have to wipe some crumbs from the table yourself, but it's not a big deal. If that's what I have to do to enjoy a good meal at a great price, I'm willing to contribute to keep costs down. I enjoy seeing the diversity of the patrons. Food really does bring us together.

my kinda place!! don't expect fine dining table service, stylish decor, or groundbreaking menu items. expect delicious, consistent, mediterranean food with high quality ingredients at an extremely affordable price. i would say this place is best for lunch or a takeout feast. the lunch special is only $11.50 which in 2024 prices is an incredible deal! make sure to try the iced tea, they use rose water and i literally go to sleep thinking about it (lunch comes with a drink) they've been in the game since 2001 and i always see friendly faces behind the counter! my dad comes to this location three times a week at least. locals love med grill and know what's my dad and i come here for lunch always twice a month, and he goes probably 3 times a week.

    Calamari.

The quality of this place has definitely declined over the years. I usually get the trusty gyro sandwich of which over the last couple of months have tasted off. The quality is just not what it used to be. The calamari during the more recent trip wasn't too bad in quality, price, and portion. I was pleasantly surprised and would probably order it again. The prices are still cheap even in this pandemic and inflation era, but it, like everything else, has risen as to be expected just a little. Service was still pretty quick after placing an order.

Yum! Tucked into a little strip mall, a hidden gem! You can tell it's cooked fresh and the portions are very generous. My husband had the Chicken Kabob Sandwich with a Greek salad and he was so happy. The chicken was piping hot and it was covered in fresh green leaf lettuce with ripe red tomatoes and so much delicious yogurt sauce. I had a Gyro and it also was delicious with fresh lettuce and tomatoes and plenty of tzatziki sauce. We also had the rice, feta and olives and 2 pistachio baklava triangles. Highly recommend.

This Mediterranean restaurant is known to the Emory community as the best Mediterranean place in the area. To me, this is the place that made me fell in love with Mediterranean cuisine, especially hummus. Their plates are great options if you want to try a little bit of everything. I ordered the lamb shank during my most recent visit and it did not disappoint. The attendants are kind and friendly, which made the dine-in experience very pleasant.

This Greek food was insanely good! I swear every bite was the best experience of my life. It looks unassuming from the outside but don't let that put you off, it's delicious and the inside is lovely.

Sometimes we get takeout, and we have also been in person once or twice. No matter how we order, the food is consistently delicious, and the staff is always super nice, friendly, patient, and ready to help. Portions are enormous and I usually split my meal into two servings. The location itself is quaint and a little unexpected, which honestly makes it even better. I understand why they get so many to-go orders, because the name fits, but the food is not just quick takeout food. It is proper, top-notch Greek and Mediterranean food. My usual order is the falafel wrap with the Greek potatoes, and I love it every time. The falafel wrap is so good, and the flatbread they use is soft, fluffy, and absolutely scrumptious. The Greek potatoes are cut into rounds and seasoned beautifully with rosemary and all kinds of delicious flavor. Everything tastes fresh, comforting, and made with care. Conyers does not always get credit for having great restaurants, but Gyros to Go is one of those places that proves we really do have gems here. There is no reason for me to leave Conyers when I'm craving falafel or this style of Greek and Mediterranean food. It is right here, and it is excellent. Highly recommend.

This was yet another solid eating experience at this fast food restaurant. I was glad to see that the service is still on point and the dining room is kept in very good shape such that it's better to eat in than take your order to go. Some of the best things in life are found when you're not looking. That's what happened when I first discovered this Grecian Gyros location - over 8 years ago. I'm glad it's still here. Not only that, painting up your business in the colors of the Greek flag is bound to have some marketing value ... it makes you want to drop in if driving along and you like Greek food. In fact, if transiting between Stone Mountain's unique outcropping and park and Atlanta through its east side, you could very easily be coming through here if not using 78 or wanting to shop or run some errands. I know that I plan to come back.

Regardless, Grecian Gyro is still awesome, though their prices have gone way up.
