You must try Kufta, Shish, Gyro and all that goes with it in the Biz.Lunch, or the Combination Feast in evening. There are also locations in Marietta, in Midtown near Piedmont Park, and in Athens, GA. The dining room is dimly lit, not fancy, but has plenty of seating. During lunchtime, tables empty at a reasonable rate so you won't have to wait long to get a seat when dining in. In addition to the business lunch combo platter (served between 11 AM and 3 PM Monday-Friday), you can order the usual dips (hummus, baba ghanouj), salads (tabouleh, Greek, or fattoush), and entrees (gyro, vegetable, shish kabob, kofta kabob, chicken kabob, falafel) that you'd expect at a Mediterranean restaurant. Some less common dishes on Mediterranean menus around here are fava bean dip, grilled jumbo shrimp, gazpacho, and lamb shank. Most of the platters also come in the form of sandwiches, which can be ordered a la carte, with a drink, with a salad or Greek potatoes, or with both. The meats didn't strike me as the best kabobs or gyro that I've eaten in Atlanta - kabobs could have been more tender - but the variety and portion are generous for a plate that's less than $9. The rice pilaf was heavily seasoned. Greens were fresh and the dressing was good. Pita bread is just okay, but again I'll emphasize that you're getting a lot of food for the price. Verdict: If you're looking for a filling Mediterranean plate at a great price for lunch with meat variety, you should check this restaurant out. The dining area isn't the fanciest, but it's big enough to bring a small group of your coworkers. So I need to say that I am a little disappointed in the new menu...the spanikopita now only offers 2 pieces and is more than when you could get 3 pieces. Plus the salad that comes with it is smaller. However, the spanikopita is pretty good. It is a little saltier than I like, but I am not a huge salt fan. The salad had plenty of feta which I love! The chicken kebob plate looked really nice and smelled and tasted great. They have this awesome hot sauce too. Oh, they make rockin tabouli. It is nice and fresh. The pita is served warm with it. I typically get the combination meat plate and find the lamb to be a little chewy; however, I find the beef and chicken to always be tender and savory. The spanakopita here is probably some of the best I've eaten, as is the baklava. They dough must be fresh because it still was crunchy when eating the leftovers the next day. I love this place! The flavor and portion sizes are definitely the reasons why I'd come back. I ordered the gyro wrap with potatoes and I added a side Greek salad. It was extremely filling. The only thing I would change is the size of the vegetables in the salad and wrap. I hate taking the time out to cut up my vegetables. No sauces with the combination feast (usually there is a small tablespoon amount of tsasitki and a similar sized portion of their hot sauce). Very little meat, about 2 small cubes of beef, a few shavings of gyro, and a pinky-sized minced kebab. Overkill on the rice... and just a hunk of iceberg for the "salad". Once upon a time, an entree here was a feast with greek salad (complete with feta and olives and tomatoes and etc), and enough meat to fill me up. I thought maybe they scorned me because I used a groupon or ordered take out. I ate in with the same results. Small portions, salad is just iceberg, etc. For entrees in the 9 - 13$ range, I expect to at least be full, and I'm not even a big eater. This could have been a fluke, but it seems to me that Med Grill, once a fine establishment, has gone to mediocrity. read more

A big plate of fried goodness with perfectly flavored batter, and tomato sauce on side. All for $7. Good value AND good grub. Can't beat that. I also love the Greek potatoes. Trust me, just get them. I know they're not as "healthy" as the salad side option, but the potatoes are a bazillion times better than the salad! The falafel, gyro, and other meats are all really decent. We eat here very often. Well, we order from here very often, as the atmosphere is kinda school cafeteria, and I HATED SCHOOL. The food is good quite. My (Greek) girlfriend loves loves loves the hummus. It's perfect with their home made hot sauce which tastes like a perfect mix of salsa and and hot sauce you see at Chinese restaurants. I couldn't get enough of their tzatziki sauce either! Their salad came with what tasted like their own home made vinegar based dressing. It was light and was served in perfect amount. In the meat platter there was the gyro meat, a steak looking meat, and a couple sausage looking ones. Some of the meat looked a little overcooked, but none the less they were delicious.
