MM has been my favorite gyro place for a few years. I have some concerns about cleanliness of the place but lamb meat is extremely well seasoned and chunked rather than sliced They keep doors open (even during winter) so it can be too cold to eat in the restaurant and parking is difficult. Lamb meat is worth it though. Did I mention they are open like 24 hours or something? I've never seen the place close. Great place after club/party. read more

It's certainly ins't the most classy place you'll find to eat in Seattle, but the food is awesome. The Philly Cheese Steak is great and I've only heard good things about the rest of the food. The service is decent and the food comes fairly quick. They have a nice range of things from the cream cheese dog to a gyro to a burger. Oh man, I freaking love this place. I've always wanted to come here since I drive through Pioneer Square so often. It always seems packed, especially at night on a Friday and Saturday. I was able to hit up this place today and sample some of their delicious dishes. They have a nice selection of dishes ranging from gyros to pizza to philly cheesesteaks to chicken and rice. I want to try everything on their menu, especially because the main dishes are really affordable. The staff is very friendly and helpful, even when they're really busy. The place is a little small with only a handful of tables inside, but there is also an outdoor eating area. Still, I totally recommend checking this place out. Good food at a good value. read more

Definitely a solid takeout place. It tastes like how you would expect. But its also cheap and satisfying if you're on the go. If I'm really craving gyro meat, I'll come here for a gyro plate. Its literally the inside of a gyro on a plate with a pita on the side. I would've preferred rice instead of the pita. My husband got the gyro and enjoyed it. But we also prefer The Berliner unless we really want a plane gyro sandwich. If all you're expecting is an average, cheap gyro served by nice friendly people, then this is a great spot to stop for takeout. read more

Awesome food but horribly abusive owner. I come here to eat lunch on Saturdays because I work nearby and the food is tasty and reasonably priced. Today I came in and I noticed that the chicken and rice said $7, so I ordered it with a Gatorade. when I walked up to pay for it, the owner said "that will be $14" . So I asked him, "does the Gatorade cost $6? It shouldn't cost that much". Hearing that he became angry, "the chicken and rice is $10.50." Well your sign says $7, I told him. Upon hearing that he gave me a dirty look and said you're a f*cking idiot. I then told him I will simply take a picture of his own sign, which I did, and show it to him. He refused to look at it, instead angrily coming around to the front to look at the sign that said $7. When he saw it said $7, he asked me, "what are you not a scientist,? You can guess that it isn't that much based on the other prices." I said "you are a horrible business person" and I turned around and started walking away. As I walked out he unloaded on me with a barrage of insults and personal attacks which I simply ignored as I left. I have never been abused like that by a business owner ever. A fast food kinda place but good for a quick lunch. I had a Falafel platter that came with 4 falafels, hummus, babaghanouj, salad and tzaziki (if I remember right). Solid place in pioneer square for gyros and other Greek items. There salads are good as well. For groups who have someone not feeling like a gyro can get a burger or even pizza. My favorite is the lamb and beef gyro with fries. The fries come with feta cheese on them and make sure to ask for some taziki sauce for dipping. read more

This is a great place for cheap eats. I ordered the chicken and rice, my fiance got the falafel plate and my friend got the vegetarian platter. Grand total was $19 and resulted in 3 stuff bellies PLUS leftovers! The plates look small (oval styrofoam plates) but I swear the amount of food it holds is ridiculous! The chicken and rice was very flavorful and prob my favorite dish (lots of pieces of chicken with a side of salad and pita bread). My friend's hummus and baba ghanoush were good, but the falafel itself was a bit too crispy/hard for me. In the end, lots of tasty food for little money is always a good thing. I was site-seeing around Pioneer Square yesterday around lunch time and pulled out my iPhone at first signs of hunger. Went here after seeing all these great reviews on Yelp and I wholeheartedly agree that you get a lot of tasty bang for your buck. I cannot say that the falafel was the best I've ever had as I found it a bit too hard on the outside, but the hummus and the warm, perfectly toasted pita were amazing! I found the baba ghanoush too salty for me but I still ate most of my portion. Speaking of portions, my god, I got the Vegetarian Combo and there was enough food for two! I'd definitely recommend it to anyone in need of good food when in Pioneer Square. I don't think I'd go out of my way to go here from across town. Cream cheese hot dog. Hard for me to order other things on the menu, even if there is so much more to order. Every time I'm in Seattle I have to come here for the cream cheese hot dog with onions and jalapenos. I did try the chicken schwarma last time i was there and ended up gettin a cream cheese hot dog right after, I had to, I was flying back home the next day. Next time I'll try the gyro and the philly. Love this place... Quick, filling and reasonably priced. The actual restaurant matches the run down theme of pioneer square but the food makes up for it. Don't expect great service or even a functioning fountain machine but they have chairs, awesome gyros and are open for the late drinkers. Obviously, you come here for the food--not the service or the ambiance. This is no-frills dining (big bonus: they are open late). The falafel gyro here is one of my favorite things to eat. The added chickpeas, fava beans & tabbouleh set it apart. It's enormous and delicious. This little gem is smashed between two other restraints one of which is the wonderful J&M (Great Burgers). You would probably miss it if you werent looking. There is a full menu on the door with accurate color pictures of the food. To walk in is taking a step back to a different land. It comes across as being pretty beat up. But that is the worst aspects of this little jewel. Now to be frank, I probably bumped the "Mix" up a star just on merits of their truly wonderful baklava. It is heaven as far as baklava is concerned. Furthermore, I havent tried any of their American dishes. Every dish I have had has been Mediterranean. For the most part you cant go wrong with those dishes. The portions are large and filling. The food appears to be quality and the taste with just the right amount of curry, is fabulous. The food here was overall good. I'm not sure if the gyro plate was a mix of beef and lamb cooked atop of each other like how gyro meat is traditionally made, but I didn't really taste anything but beef and chicken. The chicken and rice on the other hand was pretty tasty. Gyro Plate - Beef was super dry. It kind of was like jerky.. I didn't care for it. The lamb was not there in my opinion. I saw shreds of chicken in the mix, but really the meat in that plate was the dried jerky beef. Pass. Chicken n' Rice - This was pretty tasty besides the overly chopped mint mixed in the chicken and rice mix. It could have used less. The rice was nice and tender. I enjoyed it. The chicken was pretty juicy and tender, it was fine to eat. The tzatziki sauce atop of half the rice chicken mix was a great consistency to mix in with the whole thing. It was a Greek yogurt consistency that I like about tzatziki sauces. Also the amount of food you get is amazing. It's enough for two people. I ate half for dinner then the other half the next day for lunch. Was actually better tasting because everything kind of settled and mint married better with everything. After a long day walking through Seattle, my fiance and I ended up in Pioneer Square. We were starving, and didn't want traditional pub grub. After a few failed attempts to find Thai (who closes on a Friday at 7???) we stumbled across Med Mix. AMAZING. The hummus was phenomenal--we've had a lot of Mediterranean food, but have rarely had such great hummus. The gyros were awesome; they were generous with the meat, and we ate until we couldn't eat another bite. Plus, the guy behind the counter was helpful and incredibly friendly. im basing my review for this restaurant as a "hole in the wall" restaurant. before i give my review, why the hell would you order NY style pizza in a Mediterranean restaurant? C'mon man... i dont care if its on the menu, stick to a restaurants cuisine - dont set yourself up for disappointment and then go complain about it. Anyways, I had the #7 Kofta Kebob and the #20 Rice and Chicken. The total between the two was $13 before tax. My take on food is that if you are full and satisfied with the meal, then the money you spent is justified. The kofta kebob reminded me of a taco - greek style. The meat was in thick chunks which I liked, and the bread was warm and soft. The fillings, I guess are typical greek fillings - it was delicious. Im not a greek food expert so I cant really speak on the fillings. The rice and chicken was great. I dont know what they put on the rice but its delicious and huge chunks of chicken seemed to find their way in every spoonfull of rice. Being asian, i really appreciate the meat to rice ratio. Some peope may not appreciate the amount of "sauce" thats on top of the rice but thats a personal preference - it taste good and the creaminess adds a nice texture to your rice and chicken. The restaurant itself is a lil dingy (not dirty) - but this is a whole in the wall spot in Pioneer Square, it fits the environment. There is limited seating so if your with a group and you want to eat there, have a friend grab a table. One plus is that the restaurant takes credit/debit cards - I didnt see a credit card symbol on the windows or on the cash register so I was a lil worried after I placed my order. Overall, a solid spot thats open from 9am to 4am. Delicious food, good prices, good portion sizes and they are open late if you need to soak up the alcohol or just have a late night craving. read more

Holy crap I have been looking for a $5 meal in WA and thought it didn't exist - but then I walked by "Mediterranean Mix' one day and saw there big bright menu and Bam - I found the $5 Gyro!!! Not only is the price perfect but they are the best Gyros I have had in WA. If you want fry's its only a buck more and they are some guuud fry's, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I ate there all week after the first try and got the chicken gyro and then after that got the cheesesteak and wow - I never thought I could find a cheesesteak in WA that was as good as the ones on the east coast - very happily surprised. I wish they had a location in Lynnwood so I don't have to drive so far after the work week is over, but hey - it's def worth the drive!! read more

1 star review for the younger register person and a damn shame because I'm a regular here. I went to ask the guy what I was charged for since the receipt is not itemized. As a customer I think I have a right to know what I paid for, make sure I was charged correctly, and get everything I paid for. I work in the food service industry as well so I approached him as I would like to be approached in that situation. I asked him about the prices and the guy immediate becomes defensive as if I'm accusing him of stealing from me! He tells me I was charged $11 for the gyro plate with rice (since I asked for rice, is fine), but it clearly says it comes with a free soda right there on the menu. There are 2 prices on the menu for that meal: $8.50 and $10.90 and it says in fine print what each comes with, but he furious tells me a beverage costs extra. So I tell him his menus state otherwise and this excites him more. I don't care about the extra $2.40 or the soda; the off putting parts are his rude demeanor towards my reasonable question and the fact that he didn't even bother to look at the menu right above him to confirm (or attempt to deny) what I was trying to show him. The cherry on top is when I went back several minutes later to apologize for an unpleasant interaction and he continued to be hostile, stating 'well I said it 10 times, but thanks'. Seriously, man?! If I was charged for the higher price that's on the menu and it says it comes with certain things, is it so hard to either honor it or just simply state the menu is outdated/wrong? Or even try to resolve the issue without immediately becoming defensive and aggressive? Despite my hat saying 'New York', I am a local and you just lost a regular over $2.40 and a soda. I absolutely love this place to grab lunch! Very tasty gyros and gyro plates, they are fast and professional and the serving is plentiful. Also a very friendly staff and plus they make their own delicious hot sauce. I usually grab my food to-go, but there is space to both inside and outside. My office moved from nearby on Cherry Street to center of town near Westlake Plaza, but I make it a priority to take the long walk down for lunch here a few times a month. read more

This place is dump, but in a good way. Where the focus is more on serving up some good, greasy eats and not so much on keeping the tabletops unsticky. The falafel here is some of the best I've had. And if you get the platter, be prepared to add a notch or two to your belt OK, maybe it's not that gut-busting, but it's enough to make you feel bad about yourself if you manage to finish the whole thing in one sitting. What's life if you can't experience simultaneous highs and lows? Unfortunately, the chicken schwarma doesn't live up to greatness of its vegetarian cousin. It pretty much tasted like there was nothing on there but tzatziki and onions. If I didn't see it with my own eyes, and for the occasionally taste of cumin, I would have thought there wasn't even chicken on there. I drunkenly found this place before a Sounders game. The game sucked BUT THE GYRO. Was amazing. Now hear me out. I went back this last weekend for the Sounders vs Robbie Keane and before the poo hit the fan, I got my mother effing gyro. The gyro was worth the pain inflicted at the stadium. Because these are better than mr gyro. The pita is crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. The meat isn't the weird processed, lunch meat either, it comes in big chunks. The sauce is pungent. It comes together in a burrito-sized pile of goodness. And it's only $7. The coffee menu and pizza under heating lamps was stressing me out though. Ignore that. Just order gyro. read more

A guy came back in and said (you only gave me one hot dog and I ordered two) and he cashier goes "stop fucking with me and get in the back of the line behind everyone else." Usually a great place..best gyros ever..i live around the corner and frequent quite often for well over a year. But the last few times a particular employee has tried to rip me off when totaling the price..ive blown it off quite a few times because the discrepancy was usually 2$ or under...but today was the last time i was letting it happen..i called him out on it..the guy threw a fit slammed the register drawer really hard and quite a bit of change came hurling across the counter at me..he stormed off shouting..thankfully another employee was there to diffuse..i was just in shock and angry and shaking! Best Gyro and fries in town, believe it. In my drinking days I used to leave the clubs early just so I could beat the lines and get my fix. I've long since given up that lifestyle but I still find my way back to this place time and again and the food is just as good sober(if not better b/c you don't dribble half of it on your shirt). Although my favorite still is the Gyro combo, their philly cheesesteak and the chicken and rice plate is pretty damn good also, I highly recommend.
