Located on the corner of a large shopping plaza. Limited selection but what I had was delicious! The chicken Shawarma was perfectly balanced with meat, lettuce, and sauce. The chicken was tender and and I saw them chopping it fresh for each sandwich. I had the chicken soup over rice and it was well seasoned but not overpowering. On a house hunting trip and stopped in for lunch. Customer service we great, making good suggestions on top of being quick and friendly. Not sure but we have been coming to the Mediterranean Sandwich Shop in Daphne since it opened in the 2000s. I guess most people would experiment with different items on the menu. We on the other hand drill down on the success. The one meal we have ordered time after time is the Mediterranean chicken Philly Sandwich meal. If you ask us why we chose this one meal, the answer is everything. The wrapper is a pita bread fresh and warm, the chicken is cooked and chopped perfectly to bite sizes the additional flavors bell pepper and onion only add to the flavors and the finish with their sauce is just right. If I could give this place zero stars, I actually would have done so! This joint has the worst tasting food ever!!! Calling it Mediterranean Sandwich Co. is simply an insult to authentic flavors of real Mediterranean cuisine!!! The chicken is chewy and disgusting and just not edible. Did they find the poor chicken on the exit ramp of I-10?!?! It looked as if it had been run over multiple times! The veggies are mush and tasted worse than jarred baby food. Their so called dip, does not even come close to a traditional Greek tzatziki. What a hidden gem. This place is a favorite go to place for lunch for our family and it Never fails to exceed our expectations! We always leave going "man, that's was such a good meal!" It's reasonable priced and the service is quick if your in a hurry. I know this is kind of a side note, but it's such a funny thing that it must be recognized. They Ice Cube (the rapper) picture of the ice dispenser, Ice T (another rapper) smiling over the sweet T and an unhappy Ice T rapper picture over the unsweet. Simply comedic genius!! I can't say this is the best gyro I've ever had, but it's pretty darn close. I always order the regular gyro, but my son really likes the redneck gyro, which has Conecuh sausage in it. The chicken shawarma, on the other hand, is not even close to the best, but it's not the worst either. (The award for the worst chicken shawarma goes to another place in Mobile that actually puts pickles in it. Yuck!) The sides, which sound delicious, are just meh. The iced tea comes sweet, displaying a picture of Iced Tea smiling, or unsweet, displaying a mean faced Iced Tea. It's the little things that amuse me, y'all. They also have soft drinks. The service is good and the prices are very reasonable. You can easily eat for around $10. It's a very casual place with a tv on the wall and fluorescent lighting. It's a good lunch spot. read more

It has rotisserie chicken,conecuh sausage, peppers, onions, and smoked guada cheese. It is finished with hot rooster sauce to add a little kick. I also had the spinach-tomato orzo pasta. Food is OK. Service needs a bit of work, even considering COVID. Employees did wear masks but half of patrons were without face coverings despite signs on the door. When the called my order, I went to pick it up but they gave it to someone else, saying it was their order. 10 minutes later they tried to give me the other persons order (because they didn't check or ask what the first person had even ordered...just handed over the bag if food without question!). This best sandwich place in town, hands down. The Greek gyro is the best one I've eaten, they always stack it with plenty of meat and toppings. It's always grilled to perfection. The veggies they use are always on point, not old and soggy like other sandwich places around. (Looking at you Subway) and the Cinnamon roll pita is to die for! Being a fan of Mediterranean or even middle eastern food, it is great to find a high quality "fast food" type eatery. The food is high quality and as flavorful as any sit down Mediterranean restaurant, but with added convenience and great prices. The soup of the day is always fantastic.
