    Love it!!

Service is FANTASTIC, so that has to be mentioned first and foremost! But then; the food is great, from the daily lunch specials, to the cooked-to-order feasts served after 2pm! I was hungry for seafood, so my wife & I split a Large Shrimp & Fish Combo. Ten (10) shrimp, with a bunch of tasty catfish fillets equal to two(2) fish, plus two(2) sides. Our sides were Baked Beans and Fried Okra, both of which were good. The shrimp were good, but the Catfish was excellent! More importantly; two(2) other diners and our server all agreed that the Fried Chicken was way better than the seafood! Who knew? OK, this warrants another exploratory trip!! Our entire bill - with (2) Sweet Teas - was only $20 plus tip! Heck; we would've paid that for burgers!! Plenty of on-site parking at this bargain-hunters utopia of food excellence! Try it and thank me!

Lunch special - fried chicken, turnip greens, peas and butterbeans, hush puppies, sweet tea.

The sign out front is gone, so it's not easy to find unless you know it's there. I went through the drive-thru and saw the menu posted in a photo here as well as a hand-written menu of meat-and-two lunch specials on a whiteboard. There were about four or five meats and eight or ten sides to choose from, and the plates were $12 and came with a drink. I got the dark meat fried chicken, turnip greens, and peas and butterbeans. I was told they didn't have any cornbread, so my choices were hush puppies or a roll. I got the hush puppies. The food came out quick, and it was delicious. If it weren't for Yelp, I'd've never known this place existed. But now that I know, I won't forget.

One of the standout touches is the little shop inside, filled with all kinds of great finds--soaps, mists, lotions, and even kitchen accessories. It's a fun bonus that makes the experience feel a bit more unique. We came in with a group of 16, and they were able to accommodate us in a separate space across from the main area, which worked out really well. If you're planning a visit with a large group, I'd definitely recommend calling ahead. Major shoutout to our server--she handled splitting the check six ways like a pro. Everything came out correctly and fairly close together, which is no small feat with a group our size. I ordered the mahi sandwich, and it was delicious. The bun was perfectly buttered, and the fish itself was flavorful and well-prepared. They also offer a salad bar if you're looking for something lighter. Prices are on the higher side, but that's pretty standard for seafood. Some dishes were served whole--bone-in and all--which caught a few people in our group off guard, but to me, that's usually a sign of freshness. The food did take a bit of time to come out, but given the size of our party, it was understandable. Overall, I really enjoyed our visit and would happily come back.

Our waiter was very polite and very friendly. It pains me say this, but we had awful experience with our food order. I ordered the grilled shrimp plate and husband ordered the fired oyster plate. My grilled shrimp plate, was over cooked. My husband fried oyster plate, " he found a long black hair... wrapped around one of the fried oyster". Manager took the fried oyster plate off our bill. People preparing the food " need to make sure they're wearing a hair nets."

That said, I still had a good experience overall--my wallet and cholesterol just might disagree. We showed up as a large group of 13 people with five separate checks, and our server handled it like an absolute pro. Everything was correct, and their patience at the end of a long day deserves major props. Parking was a pleasant surprise--a spacious private lot conveniently located right by the soccer fields. As for the food, we opted for the fried shrimp because everyone had talked it up. The portion looked big, but most of that was the thick breading. The shrimp inside was tiny and unfortunately lacked flavor. It wasn't bad, just bland and overshadowed by the heavy coating. The restaurant itself is huge and perfect for large parties. I definitely recommend calling ahead. They offer TVs, a salad bar, and a full range of drinks--from cocktails to beer. It's very family-friendly. Prices felt a bit high for the portion sizes, but to be fair, seafood is always on the pricier side. They do offer non-seafood options too, which is nice for anyone in your group who isn't a seafood fan

They are only open for dinner which starts at 3pm and then depending on the day they close at 8pm or 9pm. When I arrived right at 3pm they already were jam packed but I fortunately was able to grab a table two days in a row after failing to get a table multiple times when I showed up around 5pm and 6pm. The owners are originally from New Orleans so that immediately let me know I was going to be in for some good food. I sampled soup, pasta, pizza, a sandwich and their dessert. I was happy with all of the food and only have a minor issue with the pizza as it is more of a thick crust and I prefer thinner crust pizza. The service was attentive and took good care of me. They also offer specials which they will post on Facebook sometimes. Overall I like this place but having to arrive so early to get a table throws my dining schedule off.
