    Redneck Gyro Carbonara Orzo
    Gregory G.

A small (seating ~30) BUSY place, especially for TOGO, which is what I picked up. I ordered/paid ahead of time. Had about a 5-minute wait for my food then I was gone. We had two redneck gyros, one with a side of roasted veggies, the other with carbonara orzo. The third gyro was a regular gyro with the cucumber tomato salad as a side. My small complaint I have w with my side, the carbonara orzo. Could've used a little more savoriness to it, as it was missing a little something, not sure what it is. Also it was overcooked but unless you make every side of orzo to order, not sure you can get around that. Either way, a positive experience, I will absolutely return. They have an extensive menu, plus baklava...

First time trying this place out. The service is great! Quick to order and you get your food fast. I ordered the Greek Bowl which is the Greek salad (Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onions, Peppers, Cucumbers, Feta Cheese, Kalamata Olives, sun-Dried Tomato Vinaigrette), but it also comes with hummus,Tzatziki sauce and your choice of protein (roasted chicken, beef-lamb, beyond meat, dolmas(4), and falafel) I went with beef-lamb. Portion - 5/5. you get a very big portion. Plenty of veggies and meat. All tastes fresh. The reason I am giving it 3 stars is because there was WAYYY TOO much tzatziki sauce. My plate was drenched in it. That's all you could taste. Unfortunately it was very overpowering. I would definitely give it another try! Overall, try this place out!

    "Basmati rice"

I actually love y'all food, but OH MY SWEET BASMATI RICE!! I decided to order basmati rice today, because I always get the salad or the orzo salad for a side. Since, I love basmati rice and I cook it often, I was like, "let me give it a try, at this place". When I got home and opened the container, I was like, "no way, is this basmati rice". So being hopeful, that it would at least taste decent. I took a bite and to my disappointment, it was disgusting and raw. I had to spit it out. This was definitely not basmati rice, but some short nasty rice. I just want y'all to do better with cooking rice. I can go teach y'all.

Based on the idea that I'm becoming more health conscious and open minded to try something new, this place was spot on. I ordered the Redneck Gyro Beef-Lamb Meat, Conecuh Sausage, Smoked Gouda and Mozzarella Cheese, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onions and Cajun Tzatziki the first visit and tasted The gyro- with Beef-Lamb Meat, Tzatziki, Lettuce, Tomatoes and Onions on Pita Bread. Everything was yummy. They also offer several delicious vegetarian and vegan options. The Greek salad was fresh and tasted even better with the added rotisserie chicken. Everything had good flavor, and the prices are reasonable with a side and drink combo. I enjoyed the healthier options used, and the taste of the ingredients were refreshing and rememberable. Double thumbs up!

FUN FACT: MSC, was the first restaurant I visited in Mobile after dropping off our U-haul. We needed something fast, yummy, and preferably NOT a national fast food chain (I mean, a girl has standards-- even when riding shot gun in a moving van. lol)! By way of their redneck gyro, MSC introduced me to the conecuh sausage mania that has a stronghold on Mobile, Alabama! Randomly, Chef Stu of " Sip and Chew with Mike and Stu" was at the restaurant on my first visit and took the hubs and I on a tour through the menu and made great recommendations! (I had no idea back then what a local rockstar Chef Stu was!) I loved the gyros, I'm not crazy about the pasta sides, and the drink machine labels are quite hilarious as well! MSC is a solid, local option for a great sammie!

Excellent food. Always consistently good, no matter which one you go to. The spartan panini is amazing.

I'm a regular to both locations and they are always good, sometimes it can be a long wait but the food is worth it.

I've tried a lot of their food and EVERYTHING is delicious... My personal favorite is the Mixed Grill with the Bacon Carbanaro

We decided to stay, and we're glad we did. Atmosphere & Vibe: The inside is warm and homey. It feels like a spot made for a lovely date. Definitely has that family-run vibe. Service: The owner greeted us, chatted with us a bit, and made us feel welcome right away. Super friendly and laid-back. Food: I had the lasagna, and my girlfriend got the gyro and baklava. The food came out quick. Lasagna was solid, but the gyro was amazing, lamb was tender and full of flavor. The pita was slightly burnt, but it didn't ruin it. Extras: The owner brought us a free Alfredo pasta, really creamy and tasty. Then he gave us the baklava on the house and even threw in a brownie for me, saying, "The baklava is on the house and the brownie is for him." That was a nice touch. (And we were really happy that we even forgot about taking a picture) Overall: Not much from the outside, but once you're in, it's a great spot with good food and personal service. We'll definitely be back. WE LOVED THIS PLACE!!
