A small Turkish / Mediterranean Restaurant in the Framingham suburb. Unique and tasty food. Made to order and you have to be patient. Family run. Parking at the back and limited. A lot of people cane for take out. Offer Halal food. Vegetarian dishes are widely available. We ordered schunizel with yellow rice, falafel and Mediterranean vegetable dish. All fresh and tasty. There are a great variety of pies we haven't tried. Will have to come back next time. I don't see any other restaurants nearby, definitely a monopoly. read more

The food was delicious and everyone was very nice and helpful and I would bring my family and friends here for food and nice atmosphere.

I was very excited to try this place, given the really high reviews. But I must say, while there were some high points, much of the meal seemed to me to be an afterthought. It's clear these restauranteurs know how to make a delicious beef shawarma, but that was the only part of my dinner that was particularly tasty. The restaurant itself is a tiny place and it is very easy to speed past, so slow down when your GPS says your nearby or you may quickly get turned around. I placed a takeout order -- the beef shawarma dinner plate -- which was ready in about 25 minutes. The dinners come with rice, salad, pita, and hummus. There are smaller portions of all their dinner plates, too, called "special size." But, being half-starved, I opted for the bigger meal. The meal came with a small salad, that was nothing special at all -- just a little bit of iceberg lettuce with a few tomatoes randomly tossed in and a packet of Italian dressing. I didn't come for the salad, but it would have been nice if a little more effort had gone into it. I've been to Mediterranean restaurants where they at least make the dressing, or offer a Greek-style dressing, rather than just tossing in a cheap packet. But, again, I didn't come for the salad. The pita bread was also nothing to write home about - just standard, store-bought pita bread. It was dry and I was glad there was hummus and tzatziki to dip it in, but neither of the dips had much flavor. The hummus was thick and creamy, which I appreciated, but it seemed like it could have used a little salt to make the flavors more pronounced. It really didn't add anything to the bread. The tzatziki, too, was quite bland. I tasted a hint of dill, but that was it. But the star of the show as the beef shawarma, which was excellent. It came with a tahini sauce and some pickles on top, which really added a nice, tangy flavor. The meat was moist and tender, and had a rich, beefy flavor that I adored. The portion of beef was quite ample, too. The sauce and pickles were a great complement to cut through the richness of the meat. It was delicious! The beef was served over rice, which was a little on the dry side, but otherwise OK. All in all, I'd have to say the delicious beef shawarma made it worth the trip out to Framingham. This place is worth checking out if you're a carnivore--they definitely do Mediterranean meats right--but don't expect to be wowed by anything else on your plate. read more

Delicious food. My husband and I have been customers of this restaurant for a few years. The place is family owned and we enjoy all of their food. My all time favorite is chicken sharma. I come with plenty of chicken, rice, small salad , pita bread and hummus. My husband enjoyed their beef and lamb sharma. The have yogurt drinks which we also love. They've just moved a few minutes down the road to a bigger and brighter space with plenty of easy parking. Lately I've been enjoying the chicken gyro with fries, but the kebab plates are also as good as ever. The picture menu was very helpful, and they have special size and dinner size platters which was great. We ordered for take out, where the food was very neatly packed. Anyway, there were 6 of us and we shared a bunch of things. Highlights: Green lentil guvec - omg, I've never had lentil soup like this. Tomato base and super savory. I need the recipe. The rice was also nicely seasoned and delish. Middle east veggie plate - Hummus, tabbouleh, and falafel were b o m b. I'm usually not a fan of grape leaves, but the ones at MTF were so good and not bitter. I might be a fan after all. The pieeeeeeees: spinach pie and they made a special one for us with feta and tomato sauce. The spinach pie was pretty good, reminded me of spanakopita but not as flaky. The feta and tomato sauce one tasted like a fancy pizza pocket. It was soo good. We ordered one round of food then re-ordered our favorites. The owner? was super nice and accommodating. This review is strictly for the taste and quality of the food. This is more of a takeout place, although I dined in at 3 PM. There are only 3-4 tiny tables and chairs, no restrooms, but I was not there for quote on quote atmosphere, I was there for the food. And omg, my taste buds were singing with anticipation from all the previous reviews. First up I got an appetizer portion of crunchy and flavorful falafel balls with a spot on tahini sauce. Now I am feeling the love. Next up was my entree of Special Size (lunch portion) of Shawarma plate. The meat was grilled to order, placed over a bed of delicious yellow rice pilaf, pita bread, a salad with pickles, and hummus, everything on that plate was delicious. I squirted some of their homemade hot sauce on everything as happy sweat started pouring down my face. Mediterranean Turkish is within walking distance of my new place and during my first visit I ordered the Shawarma Beef plate. The hummus that I scooped up with triangles of pita was incredibly savory and the beef so tender! The salad was a nice light touch with a fresh dressing and the light Tahini poured liberally atop it all brought it to a delectable perfection. Of course we enjoyed Turkish coffees (delicious!) This is a tiny place but the food is authentic and delicious. The owners are very friendly and clearly desire to please and see their customers satisfied. It is certified Halal. I'm not holding that against them even though I think your closing time shou;d be last seating since they're largely takeout anyway and there's no table service, persay. Had chicken kebabs. Kofte. Shwarma. Hummus. Various sauces. Lamb kebabs. Falafel. All of it was good, but just good. I thought the falafel was a little bland. Nothing blew the boyfriend or I out of the park. They were out of baklava which makes me sad, since if it's truly Turkish baklava it could potentially have filled me with joy since Turkish baklava is the best of all the baklavas. Alas.
